This place was abandoned in July 2023. No store. No gas and the hotel looked like nobody was around.

One of our family members booked here so we decided to as well as johnny-come-latelys. I wish we had done some of our own research. The rooms looked like they had been done in 1990 with mismatched furniture as if they had gone to a thrift store and just picked up with they could. The toilets were stained, bathrooms OLD and it just felt dirty. The breakfast, if you could call it that was nothing more than cheap bread for toast and discount yogurt. It was filthy and just so yucky. We did not sleep well at all. I honestly feel bad for them. I can tell it is a family business and they most likely live there with their little children, but it was not a great place. I don't know how it had good reviews. Plus, it was at least 15 minutes outside of Bryce Canyon. Yeah, never again.

The Grand staircase inn has plummeted in quality over the past couple years! The general store/gas station used to be such a nice little pit stop, but now it has been ran into the ground!Food & drinks: Very small selection.

Better than I expected. Very clean and my king room had a jacuzzi tub. Pretty cool. Only reason not 5 stars is there was no bar soap for the shower and no plastic water cups. Other than those small niggles it was good. There's also a convenience store and gas station.

The room was big but outdated. If you like old green carpeting, then this is the place for you. The included breakfast is a scam. Just coffee and toast. Everything else had to be purchased. There was a loud mini fridge in the corner but no table in the room. We were woken up by the jacuzzi tub in the room above us. The location was good for our adventures, but that's about it. Stay was in April 2015 but just updated the review.

These rooms are well-kept and the staff here is amazing! The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a store and gas station below the hotel, and it's right outside of Kodachrome State Park. This is the perfect hotel to give you the small-town feel without sacrificing quality. It's very central and I highly recommend it!!!

Very spacious room with large and comfy beds. Very clean and friendly staff with easy access to Bryce. Room a little dated and only access to higher floors is by an external staircase so if mobility is an issue then highlight early. Room had a large fridge and a small microwave, no coffee maker but was supplied on request, oversight or rationed? TV signal not great on some channels, internet slow and no mobile/cell signal. For size of room, large comfy beds and cleanliness, easy to recommend as not expensive. Better than some of the rooms I have stayed in recently for 3x the price.

Comfortable rooms. Very accommodating service. The hotel is above a well stocked store and gas station. Breakfast is not included but fresh toast and coffee and other drinks are complimentary. About 20 minutes from Bryce canyon national park entrance. It's located in place accessible to many parks around the area. The rooms don't have a great view but the location is good.

Best place you will find close to Bryce Canyon! Huge rooms that are exceptionally clean! Best service and really kind staff. Breakfast is not included, but you get free coffee, hot chocolate and toast in the morning. There's a mini mart downstairs that has frozen food if you are too tired to drive to tropic or Bryce to get food. They have variety of frozen food, drinks and snacks as well as frozen pizzas that the staff will prepare for you by themselves. It doesn't have an elevator, but the rooms have card operated doors and central heating, so you don't have to worry about loud A/C units. The rooms give you a homely feeling, as if you are living in a huge house. I would definitely stay here during all my trips to Bryce canyon and the area. I hope I have convinced how much I love this place!

We stayed here for our trip to Bryce Canyon. It was nice because it was close to the local sights, but far from the tourist hubs. The service was always very helpful and friendly. The room was very large but still felt quaint. We wanted to stay a second night after our reservation ended because we loved it so much, but they were all booked up.

Great place to stay when you are hiking Bryce. It's a quick 10-15 minutes away on a very scenic drive. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the people who run it have been super friendly to us. There is a general store with just about anything you need and they have a gas station out front, that came in handy.

Guys its the best 2-star under $100 motel we ve been to. Rooms as clean and equiped as 3-4 star hotel. Thanks a lot for who is running this great business. Check in at 10pm as as smooth as never.

A bit dated, but you can't beat the price for such a large room. Great location and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's not 4 star rated, but it is well worth the price for what they offer. Clean, quiet and comfortable.

I was here for two days and the location and quality of the hotel was excellent. The rooms are large and clean. The service met all of my needs and the people at the front desk are helpful and friendly. The general store is also a great convenience. The hotel is located near Bryce Canyon national park and the Grand Staircase Monument, both are definitely worth visiting.

I wasn't expecting a room nearly as nice for the price we paid. The room was super clean with a new bathtub/shower and a new tv. The only thing that could have been better would have been a bigger breakfast option, though my kids loved the hot chocolate. This is a great place for anyone visiting Bryce Canyon.

Reserved ground floor room since no elevator for a 3 story hotel. Upon check-in told not available and put on 3rd floor. The thing about being family owned is they have no one to answer to for standards or conduct. Room also had window curtains pinned shut...no light in room.

Nice place to stay. Not your normal motor hotel. Most don't also have an on-site convieniance store; or a filling station; This has both! Our room was huge and comfortable. The TV monitor was mounted higher than usual. Watching from the king size beds was very comfortable.

We stayed there on our utah-Arizona trip. We reached there around 8 pm and in that remote area nothing was available to eat nearby. The guy who attended us helped us a lot for dinner. The rooms were very clean and spacious. They provide complimentary breakfast . Overall it was great experience . Definitely recommended.

The staff was so friendly, the rooms were quite nice, and the business is enviornmentally-concious. We loved being within proximity of kodachrome state park, grand staircase escalante, and Bryce. Would absolutely stay again. Just wish there was a good restaurant in town! But hey, not everything needs to be developed. Oh yeah, the coffee in the morning was pretty good.

Stayed two nights. Bathroom updated and super clean. Bed okay. Breakfast simple but Inn is also the only grocery in town so easy to buy simple breakfast. If you wanna save a few bucks compared to Tropic this is your place!

Where do I start, nothing was cleaned! Our shower curtain wasn't cleaned for months and had pink and black mold on it and the tub still had a ring in it from the previous people. Told us they didn't have any clean ones. We had to shower with the curtain open so not to touch it!!! He didn't have any clean ones. We had to ask for a discount everyone was booked for the night. Not dusted etc. Told us that people weren't working. I wouldn't ever stay there again and would rather sleep in the car.

The second floor hallway smell musty, the room less so.The water has a smell and tastes bad. Just bring bottled water to drink. The room was spacious and nice.Gasoline prices were 10 cents less than Tropic and 20 cents less than Ruby's Inn.This is the closest hotel to Kodachrome State Park. There is a KSP visitors center a block south and they were very helpful.Go to Tropic for restaurants - which is not far.

The Grand Staircase Inn is a hidden gem. A little bit further than other hotels near Bryce, it's affordable, but clean and comfortable. The on site gas station is incredibly convenient, as is the mini mart. There was a BBQ food truck outside which was delicious as well. They offer toast and coffee for breakfast, with other reasonably priced snacks available in the mini mart.

The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were comfortable. There is not much around unless you head back towards Tropic. Overall, it's a perfect overnight stop if you are in the area visiting the parks.
