This place is clean and has a huge waiting area for you and your kids to hang out. It was very convenient to call and make an appointment. They will drive you to and from home/work if needed. It is so close to my work its a 5-10 minute walk which is very convenient to drop off in the morning and pick up after work. I also really like you you can check the status of your car through a link that they will send you. Their customer service is very good. They are helpful and willing to explain whats going on. And a fair price .

This is a first for me. I had new tires put on my car and the place accidentally broke one of my studs. No big deal. They said take it to Main Street mechanics to get it fixed. So I called them and they essentially denied me service. They wouldn't allow my car to be even looked at until sometime in June. It's March 29th today. I mean I understood today might not work. I figured they say come in on Monday. But no they won't even repair or look at my car for 3 months. I've never contacted a car mechanic before and said I have money and a broken car and what I needed to get fixed was too beneath them to fix. There are other places who actually do want your business id suggest going there.I took the car to Boss Automotive in Lehi and they got me right in and out with the stud replacement. If main Street had told me to come back next week. That would have been fine. But 3 months is too much.

My car died (2011 Camry) in the Costco parking lot and the totally got it fixed and running really well within 24 hours! Great communication and transparency. I can feel then vehicle working much better! So, so happy. They saved me from a real bind. FYI, I used John's Towing for the tow. Also so great!!!

Very friendly a communicative! I was having problems with my car and was referred here because of how friendly they were. However after 3 days they still couldn t diagnose my car with the problem. I had my dad look at it and another mechanic, turns out i had to replace all 4 sparks plugs and an air sensor. I ended up paying around $160 for them to tell me nothing was wrong with my car, just to have to pay someone else to repair it not even a week later.

I had a great auto repair shop in California that I used for many years. I was very happy when I found Main Street Mechanics.I have only taken my cars here. The most recent visit was for my daughter's 05 Accord. I couldn't be happier. They always go the extra mile. I'm glad I followed their advice on the timing belt. Saved the day. Thanks, Lynn

Treated with kindness and respect on each visit by Jed. A wonderful driver Max who shuttled me to my home and back when theybhad finished working on our family van. Prices are competitive and with the shuttle service the price was the best value. I trust this team. Thank you for working hard for us!

Had a great experience with main street mechanic. They found and fixed my clutch actuator with minimal wait time. My dealership was trying to make me replace the whole clutch but they found the real issue and saved me lots of money. Quality work.

My husband and I love Main Street Mechanic! We take all of our cars here. Every time we come, they are so personable and ask about our family (Lynn even remembered to ask about our dog)! They truly provide great service at a competitive price. Theses guys have been great since I started using them. I had back breaks on my truck changed and we had issues with the original replacements that required trying many different changes in parts. They worked on the problem until it was completely resolved without issue. They truly do back up their work, are pleasant to work with and trustworthy. Highly recommend!

We have visited Main Street Mechanic a few times over the years and we trust & appreciate them. Sometimes we ve had great car news and sometimes we ve had sad car news. Both ways they are professional, detailed and helpful.

I went to Main St Mechanic to have my front control arm replaced after it snapped in a parking lot. I brought the car in and waited almost a week for an answer, as it was being processed through my insurance. Lynn,was very uncooperative with my insurance agent, as he wanted more money for parts, and refused to use any parts that my agent had found. He tried to get me to pay my deductible and then charge an additional $800-$900 for his "parts". He was very vague about what needed to be done and I had to play phone tag multiple times to get him on the line with my agent to get everyone on the same page. After about two weeks of this nonsense, and him generally ignoring my agent, I decided to go with another mechanic that would do the necessary work and not overcharge me. My agent was going to pay the diagnostic fee, but Lynn refused to accept payment from him. When I called to pay the diagnostic, he states "oh, so you found some place cheaper? And he's going to make you pay the diagnostic fee?". Not the case at all; I had found someone approved in my insurance network that wasn't looking to take me for a ride. He insisted that he explain "his side" but I was not interested after his total disregard for my situation. I've now tried calling them twice to get my receipt for the diagnostic fee so that I can get reimbursed, but they refuse to answer my calls. I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from this place; typical behavior from a mechanic that just wants to take you for a ride. If I could give him 0 stars, I would. I'm sure he'll leave some retort, but please take my word for it that this place is a rip off.UPDATE:I want to respond since the con artist of an owner tried to make their response. I DID NOT NOT ALLOW YOU TO COMMUNICATE DIRECTLY WITH THE ADJUSTOR. Are you kididng? You kept my car for a week and refused to talk to my adjustor. I had to beg you to call him. Nobody trust you because your prices are criminal and YOU REFUSED to cooperate. You are a bunch of crooks.

New to town and glad I have chosen this shop. It's close to work and the communicate very well with what is going on and what repairs need to be done. Fairly priced and they took care of my issues in as timely of a manner as possible.

Main Street worked with me and my warranty company to get my transmission replaced. They were patient with me through the process and completed the job quickly. The staff is very friendly and respectful.

Lynn is always amazing! I ve been coming here for a couple years and recommend it to everyone. Lynn is kind and answers any of my questions. They re super understanding and try to explain all issues with the best of their ability. Super nice people here!

Such quick service = same day diagnosed issue, got part, and got truck fixed within 24 hours. (Including brake service that I added to their tasks) Local dealer/service was 3 weeks out on appt.

Brought my wife's treasured Cadillac in for a brake check. Was informed a short time later after the car was evaluated, that the car needed new brakes. I was also asked if the vehicle had its 100, 000 mile tune up yet, since the car was at 114,000 miles. Was quoted price for brakes and tune up. All was needed and the rest is history. Cadillac is a 2012 and now rides like it's brand new. Main Street Mechanic has always done quality work on our vehicle and would highly recommend them if you need any kind of work done on your vehicle.Services: Auto engine tuning, Brakes

Very kind and professional. I am a single older woman and was treated with great respect. My car is older and needed some TLC and I definitely got it with them. My car runs like a dream and I have been saved from expensive repairs or having to purchase a new car. My car is paid for and good for a lot more years! I will be going back to Main Street Mechanics for everything. Their the best!

ALMOST GOT IN A FATAL ACCIDENT!! Took my car in and described what was going on with my car. Rather then look at it really quick they said it would take a week for them to just diagnose the problem, I don't blame them for being busy so when I asked if I need to go to a different car place. They ask what sound my car was making (Again just come out and listen) I tried to describe it and they said its the breaks and I should be fine to just drive on them for the next TWO MONTHS, Both the guys at the counter said he drove on his bad breaks for weeks and was fine. So we set up a time for me to come in a week later. I asked if its dangerous and I need to take it into another shop and he said it wasn't his place to say but then continued to say I would be fine. I believed them. Two days later my car gave out in the middle of the road and I lost complete control. This I felt was extremely irresponsible of the men at the shop to say to me, I know now they are just trying to book appointments rather than encourage use to get help quickly with what our car may need for our safety. I talked to the manager about what happened and he said they tell there guys to always say get help with the car as soon as you can. Apparently not since both the guys at the counter told me the opposite.

Terrible experience. Will never go back or recommend. We took our van to main street mechanic because the overheating light was coming on every time we drove it. They basically said "the overheating error code is coming on so you need a new engine because the head gasket is blown. It will cost $8000".That didn't sound right since the engine was running smoothly, just overheating. When I asked what they tested to come to that can conclusion they just said that the error code keeps coming on. They charged us $170 for the diagnostic, which I really doubt they did.I drove the van over to another shop and they put in a new thermostat, confirmed the old thermostat was sticking, and verified the no fluid was leaking into the engine, as would happen with a blown head gasket, by running an exhaust test. It all cost $250 to fix. 2 months later, the van is running perfectly we even drove 12 hours straight on vacation last week with no problems.

I had a more in between experience, it wasn't great, but I wasn't greatly disappointed. Came in for just an emissions test, and the complimentary vehicle diagnostic scan was nice. I already knew about the breaks needing replacement for awhile, but then they added a ton of other things that I didn't know about. And, the estimation for all "repairs" was well over $2,000, seeing that the labor was the most expensive part of each repair. I understand that you they gotta get paid, but in reason. I just felt so pressured to fix my "repairs" ASAP, and they made me feel like I was unsafe driving my car.So, I took my car in for a second opinion elsewhere. They didn't mention half of the issues they did, only the breaks and one other thing. I decided to go with the other guys instead of these guys because the others didn't pressure me, they informed me honestly about what and when I should do the repairs, and they weren't astronomical prices. Just being completely honest, so no hard feelings. But I will not be a customer ever again.

The guys there have been great. I sometimes wish I didn't need them but when I do I know they will take care of my vehicle. They changed my motor and it runs great again. Great experience here! Took my car in for an alignment and they were able to do it quick and well. Fairly priced for their time and work! Even followed up with me a week later to make sure everything was going well. Happy with my experience and the work they did for me. Would recommend.

Had an excellent experience here my husband and I normally take our car to the Subaru dealership but even the dealership recommended Main Street Mechanic for a diagnostic! They got us in promptly and were thorough and honest and didn t overcharge or suggest/pressure us into anything unnecessary. **Edited update**They called me and fixed the door handle, however it should not have been an issue in the first place. Because they were very nice about things and fixed the handle very quickly I have added a star.**Original Review**I took my car in to be diagnosed, and when I got it back the doorhandle was busted! It was perfectly fine when I dropped it off. They didn't even mention having ruined it.

When taking your car in for regular maintenance, a lot of other mechanics will give you a big list of other things that a are not really necessary.That is not the case with Main Street Mechanic. If they recommend other services they are necessary to keep your car in good working condition.I ALWAYS have them do the services they recommend. My 2011 car runs like it it is new.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Vehicle Inspection, Auto battery maintenance, Auto maintenance, Oil change
