Dave saved my bacon this last weekend.My car had issues starting on Thursday night and I was worried I wasn't going to have a car for the weekend when I really needed it.I had done some self-diagnosis and figured it was probably the starter. So I talked to several shops who wouldn't even have been able to look at it Friday and even the ones that could, wouldn't likely be finished with it until sometime this week.I saw Hills Auto Service had weekend hours and texted Dave to see what he thought. He said just get it to him and he'd figure it out pretty quick.I brought it to him around 2pm on Friday and he worked late to diagnose and fixe the issue. I had my car back around 8pm. That was an amazing turn-around! When I picked up the car, Dave was super friendly and taught me a few things about starters and batteries. Soon enough, I was rolling out and ready to go for the weekend. Car starts like a dream now.The price wasn't bad either. I expected it to be way more expensive.So, I'll be calling Dave back next time we have car issues and I totally recommend Hills Auto Service as your go-to mechanic! Thanks Dave!

Dave is the man. He fixed both my son and my daughter s cars and did an amazing job. Both vehicles run noticeably smoother. Super straight forward and honest with his advice and pricing. He even sent us a diagnostics video with a full walk through of his findings so we could see exactly what was wrong for ourselves. He looked at the cars right away and fixed them in a matter of a couple hours. Couldn t believe it. Thank you Dave!

Dave was awesome. I was doing some truck shopping and needed a pre purchase inspection for an oil leak I had found. Dave got me in at 7 pm on Friday night. Looked the truck over in an hour and had not only found the original oil leak, but a second more concerning one. Don t be put off by the fact that his shop is in the back of his house, I ll take that over a busy big name mechanic where I m just a number. I definitely would go back to him.

Dave is quickly becoming our car guy. He's quick, knowledgeable, and his prices are very fair. We had our alternator replaced and the work took less than a full day. Then we received an expensive quote for work on our car's brake system, so we decided to come here to get a second opinion. He was able to quickly let us know that our brakes were fine and we were likely being sold things we didn't need from the other company. We really appreciated his honesty and will come here for all other services we need.

My car broke down in a parking lot due to an unknown issue, it was later in the evening but I texted Dave and he replied fast, and told me to bring the car in the next afternoon. He even recommended a great 24-hour tow service and I got it taken to his place the next afternoon.His shop is a residential address but he has a nice shop out back. I had to leave the car on the street because I had to be somewhere, but we communicated my problem over text and he found and replaced the part the same day. He finished it that night and let me pick it up the same day at 9:00pm! No engine light on anymore either. I payed cash and Venmo-ed him the rest.He provided fast service and easy communication, and I ll take it to him again if anything happens to my car again. Thank you Dave!

This place was amazing. I will definitely be going back. He gave me a great price on new breaks (literally 1/2 the price I would have gotten anywhere else) and was really honest about some other potential issues I need to look out for. Took my car to him around 3pm on a Sunday and had it back by 7pm. He was amazing!

We were in Utah County for Labor Day weekend and needed new brakes and rotors before getting back on the road and Dave got us right in and had the work done within a couple hours. Nice guy, great work and excellent service! Thanks again, Dave! And thanks for being opened on a holiday weekend - you saved us!!

Dave got back to us right away when our car broke outside of Salt Lake City. He advised us on our best course of action to safety get our truck to his shop. Then he diagnosed it quickly and clearly and was able to fix it the next day. He was professional and affordable and a kind and considerate person. It s hard to trust a mechanic you ve never met but we took the chance based on his great reviews and he was our guardian angel! He even texted us to make sure we made it home safe. A true gem!

Over the weekend, my vehicle broke down, and I was able to get my car in to the repair shop right away. Within a few hours of my car being towed to his shop, Dave had repaired it. I have never had such fast service from a repair shop before, especially on a weekend. Dave took the time to explain all the necessary details and was consistently pleasant to interact with. I was impressed by how fast I was able to get my car back. I would highly recommend this shop.

Like many of the posts say I was coming in late from out of town and Dave helped me late at night at the very last minute and had my car up and ready to go back on the road the very next morning. Very reasonable price, I expected it to be an arm and a leg but it was a pleasant experience all around. Can t recommend enough if you need a good mechanic to do honest hard work on your vehicle.

I had a great experience with Dave! I noticed a grinding sound coming from my brakes and knew something needed to be fixed. I have to drive a lot for my job, so I was worried about this potentially getting in the way of work.Dave had me bring my car in as soon as I reached out on a Saturday, sent over an estimate within a few minutes, kept me updated throughout the process (even sending videos of the parts that needed replacing), and had everything done within just over 2 hours at a very reasonable price.Would definitely go back for future repairs!

Did a great job on the repairs to my Fiat 500. The dealer was booked out for several weeks, Dave got me right In and fixed that day for a pretty reasonable price. Even fixed a door lock mechanism that I was afraid would be too specialized. Love the later hours too, really convenient.

I urgently needed a new car battery but it was late in the day and most shops were closed. Thankfully Hill's Auto Service has extended hours. I sent a quick message to make sure David would be able to help that night which he was. Less than an hour later my car was good to go and it didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Dave is a such a professional and loves what he does. I had an AC issue and a few places charged me a lot just for a diagnostic and couldn t go beyond recharging/adding Freon even though that was not the issue. I messaged Dave and he got back to me really quickly and diagnosed the issue and fixed my vehicle the same day. My AC is even better than before. Top bloke for sure and very honest. He was very thorough explaining what the issue was and how to fix it and also pricing. Even after I payed he went on to show me exactly what was wrong and helped me better understand what caused the problem with my AC. Super grateful for Dave and to know that all my car troubles will be taken care of with top and the best quality. Definitely recommend to all!!!!!

My 98 jeep wrangler sport broke down and Dave s shop was the closest open shop that my insurance recommended. I am so glad that I discovered his place! He was super communicative all through text message and was able to diagnose and fix everything all same day.I know for a fact that every other repair shop around is about 3 to 4 weeks out on work so amazing to have someone that you can trust and will turn things around at lightning speed!Highly recommend.

Dave was awesome! I messaged him about some issues I was having with my truck. He got me into his shop the day of and found out what the issue was while communicating with me the whole time. Explained everything to me clearly and the pricing was very fair. Highly recommend Dave.

Our GMC Yukon had a major issue as we were passing through SLC on a Saturday evening of Memorial Day weekend. We couldn t find anyone to help us until Dave. He immediately knew what was wrong with the car, and even though it wasn t great news, he worked hard to fix it. He drove us to a hotel and kept in communication the entire time he worked on it by texting us options and even sending videos of the issues. He worked so quickly to get this done so our trip was only delayed a day (instead of two or three). He saved us! Without him, we probably would have been stuck for at least a week. He even texted to check in on us after we left the city. He is honest, efficient and incredible at communication.

We had issues with the transmission fluid late Saturday evening. We needed the car that weekend so we got ahold of Hills Auto service since they are open late and they got us in right away. They got the fluid switched out and did it really quick. What was looking like a nightmare for us turned out to be just fine thanks to Hills Auto service. Very honest pricing too. I definitely recommend them for you auto needs

I had a small, quick fix that needed done. I called 15 other shops and none could get me in for a week or two and none seemed like they even knew how to fix my problem with half of them referring me to the dealership. Dave got me in within an hour and had my issue fixed in 10 minutes and was super reasonable on price. Hills Auto Service will be my first call next time. Highly recommend!

Couldn't have asked for a better mechanic at the perfect time. On my way through town for a work trip and encountered some car trouble. Dave was available in the middle of the night and took my van in as soon as I got into town. Fixed both issues I had, helped with another and got me on the road the next morning still on schedule. Reasonable price and everything looks well done with no issues popping back up. If you live nearby or traveling call him first and use him as your mechanic. Top notch
