Reliable. Peace of mind. Local in American Fork, Utah County.I have gone to Dave at Finn s Auto off and on for over 10 years now. I talk with Dave, Dave does the work, I get feedback from Dave, we talk about scheduling of maintenance so I can stay ahead of the maintenance of my vehicle. Knowledgeable. Professional. He charges as much as anywhere else, if not a little lower because it s his business.I recommend my friends all the time to Dave. I have peace of mind as I drive. I highly recommend David at Finn s Automotive! He is one mechanic I can TRUST! He s honest, dependable and consistently responsive in his communication. He takes time to explain what maintenance is going to be necessary and isn t aggressive in his recommendations or repairs. He also doesn t nickel and dime you at all. Great service, great value, and very professional!

David was quick to diagnose the issues and explain the options. My car was older and he helped to identify which fixes were higher priority than others. I've gone back for unrelated work and he's been courteous and clear on what can be done and how long the repairs would take. Good experience overall.

A great, honest mechanic is nearly impossible to find. However, that is exactly what David is. The first time we asked him to come was to look at a car that was not drivable. He helped out that day and we have not used any other mechanic since. He has done work on our old car (rebuilt carb on '62 Cadillac) as well as our 2010 Honda and all of our years, makes, and models in between. He is courteous, quick to respond, and very easy to schedule around. His mobile option is super convenient and has really helped us out of a bind in the past.He is easy-going, super knowledgable, and low-pressure. He has also evaluated pre-owned cars for us for a very reasonable fee. His pricing for house calls is more than fair. Thank you, David. We will keep calling.

I would recommend this place over any! David was more than helpful and went above and beyond what he needed too. He helped me after hours and got me out of a pinch. Most knowledgeable and friendly mechanic I have ever worked with!! Honest and respectful never tried to get me to fix anything that wasn't broke! By far the best place to take your vehicles!Services: Electrical repair, Engine repair, Auto maintenance

Took my wife's car for 100,000 mile service. Dave came up with a list of items that should/could be done. Discussed highest priority items and got those done. He gave me instructions for what I could easily do myself. Great to work with an honest, open, mechanic.

Dave knows cars, what to look for, and what needs to be done. He s professional and honest and is a straight shooter so you know that what he says needs to be taken care of legitimately does need to be done. My experience: dropped off car for a severe coolant leak, diagnosed as hose and pump FOUR days later. Expect to pre-pay for half the parts & labor, and then a week after you've paid, and you've asked about your car multiple times, he'll give you a three-day window when the car might be done. It only took two weeks to finish a four hour job. And he charged me for 6 liters of OEM coolant, at his "discount" price: double what I could find for him online, and double the capacity for my car. No explanation why. I paid over a thousand dollars for what probably should've been a $600 job. So, if you like paying double, and waiting two weeks for a four hour job, while your car sits in a man's driveway, definitely go here...

This technician is thorough and transparent about what needs to be done. Will continue to use his services! He has worked on 2 of my cars and each time the problems were resolved, '04 Pontiac Vibe and '12 VW Beetle.

My 2002 Hyundai needed repair. Finn's automotive did a professional job looking over the car for safety signs. Prepared a report. My front breaks needed new rotors and pads and the break oil replaced. Now, they work like new. Next was a starter problem. They took care of that too using only new quality parts. Finn's automotive knows what they'er doing.

David is a great mechanic. Very thorough. Goes beyond just fixing the initial problem. He will let you know what other problems there are and the urgency. Very honest as well. I ll be back for sure!
