Easy off and on the highway.Large truck parkingSmoking and nonsmoking rooms available.Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful with a room on ground floor, close to the large truck parking lot.The room was nice, clean and smelled great. Besides several burn holes in the bedspread, it was decent.I wasn't impressed with the room rate, however I needed to be done for the night

Happy to say that I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here! The bed was comfortable; the sheets were soft, cozy, and clean; the fixtures and surfaces glistened; and the room itself smelled fresh and looked modern. Front desk staff was friendly, accessible, and accommodating and the hotel felt safe and was conveniently located along the I-30 frontage road. The management and staff clearly take pride in their work and product!

We have done multiple cross country roads trips and usually stay at Super 8s. This is the worst one we have ever been to and also one of the more expensive ones. Rooms are terrible. The smell of Mildew is strong. The beds are old. The bathroom is in much need of repair and cleaning. Even the pillows are absolute garbage. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!Rooms: Terrible

We have a few employees from our company who stayed at this hotel. We got a video about 9:30 this evening showing bed bugs. We called the front desk and spoke with Hazel, we requested a refund and she stated that she was not able to give a refund for tonight s stay because our employees decided to stay on the property. This is not acceptable. She stated that our employees, checked in at 3, got a free nap and a free shower. Which is not true. The actual check in time was 3:55 pm and our employees did not get to the hotel until 6 pm. So, you re telling me that this hotel s policy for a refund regarding bed bugs which is out of the quests control they must leave the premises to get that refund. This is not very good ownership.

My wife and her family stayed here during a trip to Sulphur Springs, everywhere else was booked solid, they were lucky enough to find two rooms here late at night, checked in almost near midnight, staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very clean, the mattresses were very comfortable and looked very clean. Price was reasonable/affordable, would recommend highly. Unfortunately they did not wake up in time to catch a good breakfast, their loss, not the hotels fault.

I've been staying here once about every two months since 2005. I deliver to Mnt. Vernon and Sroggins regularly.I've never had any problems. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The renovations are great. Me and coworkers are thankful for the truck parking in the back and restaurants in walking distance.The security cameras are a bonus.

We have been displaced from our home while repairs are done, due to storm damage. We have been at this Super 8 for a week and are in the process of clearing out our rooms and checking out, right now. The rooms were clean, staff was friendly, a/c is cold. It is conveniently located next to some food places and convenience stores. Thank y'all for helping us get through a rough time. Much appreciated!

I wasn't sure what the dozens and dozens of other reviews were talking about, "the combative staff", until i went to the office to see about the advertised breakfast since it wasn't around this morning. How else would we know if we needed to make other plans?We were informed that "little debbie pecan pinwheels SNACK CAKES" WERE BREAKFAST.The desk clerk became combative just like those reviews stated. Followed by harrasment from the manager who kept calling the room and SCREAMING, even after being informed that she was screaming.Then of course, the threats to have us thrown off the property for a bad review and for hanging up when she kept harassing us and screaming on the phone.Refusal to let the owner know there was a problem.We don't want anything more or less than what we paid for. That's all.Complaints about the behavior have been filed with the corperate chain, so now the owner will definitely find out what is going onPlease consider reading ALL THE REVIEWS demonstrating how volatile and rude the staff is. The moronic and rude replies that the owner leaves those people, And how dishonest and disreputable these assclowns are. Notice, the only thing we asked for, was that the manager stop callingbthe room screaming, over and over. We did not ask for discounts or allowances.Between yelp, Google, and the many travel sites, it is easy to see what kind of trash these people are.Rooms: Not what is advertised. Clean though. Needs caulking on the bare wood around the shower, breeds bacteria and mold.Noteworthy details: Horribley rude manager and staff. The owner should consider how this affects their business and potential income. For a place that is mostly empty, increasing the occupancy is the difference between a bancruptcy auction and "stacking the cash"

I've stayed 14 times in a year's time, each visit has been enjoyed. Clean room's and privacy. Got early check in with little extra charge, pet friendly also with small extra charge.Rooms: Very clean!Safety: Feel very safe, very private.

Edit: for facts sake...I checked in at 9pm and was in the office at 6am. After traveling all day. Why I would ask for a transfer to another infested room is beyond me. Then getting banned by a rude manager for giving an honest review is beyond me. Especially since thats my first amendment right to do so. She then called my mother who stayed in a separate room complaining about my review and was rude to her as well. Customer service is awful!!! This is a privacy issue as well. Cockroaches and bad customer service. Don't waste your money here. I have to treat my luggage before I bring in my belongings. Don't let the response to this post fool you, they are rude and haven't a single clue what they're doing in the office. Good luck.

Room was clean, cool, comfortable and quiet. Had a non-smoking king on the 2nd floor farthest from the street, facing east, which was great, as no July Texas sun beating in in the afternoon. Mattress was excellent and room was very clean, everything in good shape. Nice large fridge, and a microwave. Furniture seems brand new. Solid WiFi, both 2.4 and 5.0 ghz, password protected. Coffee in the lobby at 6am. Very pleased.

Well.. i don't know why I'm surprised, but my family and I stayed in a room on March 9th 2023 at a super 8 hotal in Mt.Vernon tx and I have to say. I've never been this discussed befor in my life staying at a hotel!!! A total of 11 roach's killed within the time of us staying... So with that said my rating will have to be -10 there's nothing in this world I hate most then roach's.!!!!! I will not be going back and I will be passing on the visit we had to others...

I stayed one night here, while passing through town, and I was very surprised about how clean the room was. More than money, I would recommend this motel if you need a good nights sleep. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet, and the staff was very friendly. I will stay there again next time I m passing through.

Clean. My lasting impression of this place; clean. Value priced. Truck parking in the back. This is the ideal motel for the traveling blue collar hard working people making this country strong. Five stars because this type quality and value is disappearing quick. I was going to go four stars because of the constant interstate noise but nah. Five stars.

The room was clean, but it was difficult to sleep after getting to the room and undressing and seeing a roach crawl across my bed. It is been my experience for every road you see there are two dozen more crawling around in the dark.The front desk staff was very nice late at night. That's unusual. But the owner or manager the next morning, when I saw him outside and told him about my roach problem, just said, okay, well hurry back. I'm giving it three stars, just because I assume this is a problem that they can get fixed and if it was fixed with an exterminator, it would be a reasonably nice, and economical place to stay.

Great place to stay. I pulled in here late, and there was plenty of truck parking around back. The only issue I had was due to recent storms, some of the door locks were not working. The issue was being dealt with but not fixed 100% yet. No big deal for me. Food was located right next door with a Burger King and a huddle house. Great overnight stay, and would recommend this to anyone. Not to mention Sarah at the desk was super nice. She was awesome and had a great attitude.

Our door did not require a key to open and neither of the locks inside functioned. The manager was not very polite. The room was surprisingly clean and the beds were decent for a cheap motel. The large mini fridge did come in handy for barricading our door before bed.

A/C worked good my non smoking room had a burn hole in carpet and burn mark on tub. Bed was comfortable room was clean. My major issue was plumbing all the way around toilet was 2 flush min. Sink had terrible water flow and the shower OMG I'm only 5'10 and shower head was chin high on me. Then once in shower tub filled ankle deep so wasn't draining fast enough for shower. Other than that my stay was nice it was quiet and comfortable. Update!! Wrote this as soon as I checked out my update is this spent the whole next day and days itchy and had bug bites all over my body so my guess is I got bed bugged be warned

Great truck parking. Rooms were spacious really clean and smelled great. Shower head is real low, water does not drain well in tub. The man at the front desk was a little cranky when I checked in. Ok place to stay for the price.

I m only staying for one night December 25 2020. The lady at the front desk was really sweet and quick check in. The parking area had plenty of bright lights for cars and rigs .. I love that part I m having to do temperature check on the reefer trailer durning the night. Pets and service animals are welcome with no hassle. Room looked cleaned and smelled clean. The king size bed was really comfortable I didn t like the pillows but my husband did and now going on a pillow hunt to find one just like it ..The bathroom was cleaned and and no black mold anywhere . The shower head was low with medium water pressure. Only things I see wrong med stain on carpet at front door it s looks like old carpet no big deal and the tv not mounted on the wall so if ya got a pet/ service animal that lays on the bed and watches tv too you got to sit up so you can see my choice was a non smoking room .

I have been staying in this motel for ten days, while hunting, the room has been cleaned twice. The only way I have gotten clean towels is to hunt down the cleaning staff. Tonight after getting back to the room I called the office to ask for toilet paper, there was none left, and was told I would need to wait until morning. He said, wait until morning for toilet paper! Looking at the picture you can see the bathroom hasn't been cleaned the bubble wrap that was behind the toilet when I got here is still there, no I did not put it there. I have been a Wyndham member and loyal customer for years and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had staying at a Wyndham property. I'm in town for another week and I will leave here tomorrow and will not be back. I feel after staying here for 10 days I have given them ample opportunity to make this right and they have not.Once while staying here I got out of the shower and realized the the cleaning staff had removed all towels and did not replace with clean towels, can y'all day drip dry with me lol. Trust me friends go on down the road.

Shockingly horrible. The smell! Our room smelled like a cross between stale smoke and mold. Burn holes in our bed sheets and paint scraped off the wall. We stayed there as part of a larger group so I did see some of the other rooms in the motel and they weren't bad but some others did share our horror stories. Guess it's a toss up.

Room was very clean, front desk staff was very nice and the bed was very comfy. The only downside is that any "restaurants" that are nearby are mainly fast food places, the two sit down joints close early... so you don't have much for options for dinner. The hotel itself was very nice though.Truckers can park behind the parking area in a dirt lot and they have a coin laundry service right there too.
