I called yesterday looking for service on my 2018 Ford escape and spoke with Joyce who was very professional and on point. She got me in the next day made sure me and my daughter got a ride home and back while James fixed our vehicle!! They made sure to even fix our horn at no cost. I was blown away but the hospitality and generosity. Thank you all for the superior service. Highly recommended.

I've taken my truck to S&J several times over the last few years and I trust that they will always do a great job. I appreciate their straight shooting, no-nonsense approach. And of course the quality of their work!

S & J is fantastic. They are always quick, communicate what s going on and are fair priced. They are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. Took my car to Christian brothers and was told it was the transmission and would be about $4000 to fix it. Took it to S & J and it wasn t the transmission but a hose and it was still an expensive fix but not 4000 and it actually fixed the issue vs if I d had the other shop do the transmission it wouldn t have fixed the issue!

Amazing. Honest. Friendly staff, great mechanics.I took my car here for a second opinion.A diagnosis showed it didn t need the expensive replacement the other shop stated it just needed a throttle valve cleaning.Runs great now, saved me $1500, and totally made my Christmas good. Thankyou S&J !

Brought the truck in, explained to Shawn what was going on. He had a diagnosis by the end of the day. Come to find out my timing chain was shot. Shawn and his team worked effortlessly on my truck to get it back on the road. It was not an easy task not to mention the truck sits like the Empire State Building! Shawn and his team did an awesome job and we will be taking any future projects to them!

These guys do diligent work. it s hard to find a mechanic to trust nowadays. every time i come back to shawn and the guys up here they go over to make sure i m taken care of. and i m an annoying customer. you can trust these guys with any work. best shop around by far. if your worried about getting screwed over by a shady mechanic, make the right decision and bring it here.

Wow, is all I can say. I don't usually leave reviews but they deserve it. My work truck had multiple problems ,almost to where I was considering getting a different one. I was referred to Shawn am so glad I was. Got my truck back and it has never ran better. It's smooth as ever and so quiet now, I have never heard it so quiet running since I have owned the truck. 5 star and more for this shop. I have more work to be done on it and will without a doubt be bringing it back to Shawn.

I took my van in to S &J for 100K service. I've used them before and have been happy with the quality of their work. This time they were prompt, but when I went to pick it up I noticed they had charged me $26.05 for ONE spark plug. I thought it was a mistake and questioned it, the owner insisted they were super duper spark plugs and had cost him $21 and he added only $5 so I could have a warranty for the work. I got a little suspicious about the other items and since I knew the parts came from O'Reilly's, I checked each part # and this is what I found.I've attached a pic of the invoice if you'd like to check my numbers. Also, don't shops get a discount of parts?O Reilly s Prices here are not sale prices.Using the part #s on the invoicePART O Reilly s PRICE WHAT I WAS CHARGEDOil Filter $5.79 $14.27Motor Oil $13.49 $18.95Motor oil 5 quart $28.99 $69.58Brake Fluid $8.49 $16.22Automatic Trans Fluid$10.99 $29.87Antifreeze $20.99 $71.98Air Filter $26.99 $60.94Cabin Air Filter $21.99 $39.00Strut Assembly $209.99 $286.75Shock Absorber $81.99 $156.08Spark Plug $10.49 $26.05Plenum Gasket Set $36.99 $54.08Serpentine Belt $29.99 $55.20SOME PARTS REQUIRED MULTIPLES. For instance, 6 spark plugs cost me $156.30. Plus a charge of $182.65 to install the plugs!Now, this only addresses the parts, labor had the usual $101.47/hr. charges. My total invoice was over $3000, causing me to dip into savings.My recommendations if you use this shop. Get a parts quote up front and check the prices. Or, you could just get the parts and take them there--they do good work.One more thing, I was charged $39 for a cabin air filter I didnt' get. I had a new one in a box in my glove box and it is no longer there. I hope they installed it. I'm sure if the owner knew this, he would have refunded the $39. I won t be going back.OMG, He did the same to me. I was scare when I read the other two reviews so I went back and looked at my receipt.The parts are way over charged. Shops get at least from 10% to 15% off the in store price. So why would an auto shop charge nearly double or over what they get the parts for? I understand a little more for warranty and labor. BUT DOUBLE THE PRICE?M23002 What was charged 261.64 At store 136.99904-222 What was charged 73.51 at store 34.99S587 What was charged 35.20 at store 25.99PC139 What was charged 58.95 at store 28.99

They do great work in a timely manner which is great if they give you a day they will be finished its is usually dead on unless unseen problems but they will notify you so you knowvwhats going on I recommend them to anyone

My whole experience was amazing, got it diagnosed by the next day gave me a very good reasonable price there super fast the were are very nice people and the lady in the front desk is very nice and helpful. I got recommended by a friend that takes his car there, now I know we re to take my cars for any magical issues that are trustworthy and fair customer for life. Me and my family live out of town in OHio. My husband was traveling through the area in July with no air conditioning. I called around found Shawn on google and he said he would fit me in Same Day . He went out of his was on his own time after hours and worked tirelessly until the job was finished. He had the a/c blowing ice cold air!!!!!! I would absolutely recommend anyone to go there. He is a great person, has a wonderful business, and has real good , fair prices.Service: Auto A/C replacement

Our van broke down at the end of the day and they were very accommodating with us limping it in late. They had our alternator replaced by Noon the next day and were priced comparatively. We will use them again.

I'll start by saying it's very important to find a good mechanic that is trustworthy and capable. Sean has shown that he is both. I put the safety of my family in his hands when it comes to our mechanical needs. He knows his business.

Shaun and staff are very knowledgeable and work to solve problems. I needed new ball joint and the nuts and bolts broke off and he said I would probably need a new front end mainframe. But he fixed the problem and now I don't. He and his mechanics are miracle workers.

Don't get me wrong but I had these guys fix replace the Rear Main Seal on my ranger and they did excellent. But my AC didn't work when I got it back. My ol lady had em replace the valves on her civic. Guess what didn't work afterwards? The AC. She called em up to let em know what was goin on and they said "that car has been wrecked." (The car hasn't been wrecked since she's had it.) So be careful with these guys. Make sure everything else works before you bring your vehicle to em. Cause somethin might be broken that wasn't.

My truck was taken there to get my heads fixed, it was there for almost a month before getting worked on, after finally getting my truck back not even a day later it stopped in the middle of the highway, Jose s son Omar came to us to look at it and brought it back to his dads HOUSE, not a shop there HOUSE, without telling us he was gonna charge us to come look and see what s wrong after them just fixing it. He told us a part needed to be changed when in reality that part didn t need to be changed at all. After me saying I did want him to work on my truck any more he tell me it s gonna be $50 for me to take my truck home. Long story short after then supposedly fixing it it s still doing the same thing

***Read This!!***Had a rear wheel bearing go out, a job that could have easily been manipulated. NOPE! What a great place. The receptionist was outstanding and friendly, Shawn was very nice and professional. If you want a trustworthy mechanics and service, bring your vehicles to S and J Automotive. My wife and I moved to Tyler one year ago. I have always been suspicious of new mechanics in a new city; however, I have been to Shawn a few times so far, and he has been very honest and knowledgeable. A few times when my car needed fixing pretty quickly, I've taken my car here. Shawn is great and will work with you as long as you make your payments! He's a good guy and an awesome mechanic! Don't screw over an honest man who helped you out! I highly recommend him to everyone! Fast, good quality work, with affordable prices!

This is by far the best auto shop that I have been to! They were super helpful to answer my questions on the phone, clear and transparent with pricing for the exact service I was looking for! They were straightforward and provided the service in just a couple of hours! It was quick, a fantastic value, easy, and I will absolutely return and recommend this shop to anyone who needs auto work done!

Professional and honest, only uses quality parts at a fair price. I actually had them work on my truck after another mechanic shop's inability to diagnose and fix it correctly the first time. Even though I was not in a rush, Shawn and other staff worked late after closing time to get the job completed.Hope they stay in business for a long time. Hard to find a good mechanic you can trust.
