We had a great overnight stay. The grounds were well laid out, easy to find everything. The beautiful pool area is so inviting. The room was immaculate and seemed to be well maintained. My only critique is the sizes of the beds. We selected the double room, as this was the only option I saw online for 4+ people. It would be nice to have at least queen sized beds in the "double" (meaning two beds) room. The sizes of the beds in the double room were full size, or some people call them double size.

I loved our room. We called ahead and made sure we could park our big scrap trailer at the time and they were very accommodating. The view from the mountain was beautiful. It s peaceful. The room soaps were the only thing that could have been better (I m not complaining) but we had our own because we were prepared. I give it 5 starts all around this place was amazing! Great quiet getaway.

This is a gem of an historic nature. The rooms are what you'd expect, but what is unexpected: the clean, sparkling swimming pool and a lobby full of historic relics. After you learn much about the Texas Rangers (not the baseball team), take a hike to the top of the plateau (at the end of the parking lot) to catch an amazing sunrise. All this, and more, in the unassuming town of Santa Anna.

We showed up pretty late needing a spot for our RV and they had someone still in the office to check us in. We just saw the place while we drove by and decided to turn around as it looked much better than a truck stop. Clean restrooms, nice hookups, and the laundry room was very clean. We also saw the Milkyway and the stars were beautiful! Very little light pollution.

Fantastic staff! Just the sort of welcoming and helpful you'd expect from Texans! We broke down and rolled into the RV at 10PM. Gray, the manager, welcomed us in with the same smile I would have expected at 3Pm. He checked us into a slot, and helped us get our trailer parked when our tow vehicle wouldn't start again. If they treat folks this well when things are going wrong, how much better must it be for a normal guest?

I don't ever usually leave reviews, but imagine my shock when we got here. The convenience of a code so we didn't really need to check in and had complete peace of mind getting to our room. The beds were so big and comfortable, I don't think I've even had a better sleep at home, than I had here. The rooms are cozy, warm, beautifuly furnished, this is not your average motel. This place is a literal gem and the owners and staff should be proud to have such a place.10/10 stay.

If you re going to the Santa Anna area or really anywhere near like Brownwood, Brady, or Ballinger then you have to stay here. Gary, the man in charge, was very accommodating and friendly to myself and my associates while we were working in the area. Next time I m back in Santa Anna this will be the only place I consider staying! The rooms had everything we needed, we always had fresh towels, and overall this was a perfect and quiet place for us to settle in after a days work. The rooms were as clean as could be and I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this place. We felt very at home and comfortable. Our expectations were exceeded ten fold. Unlike most places it looks as good as the pictures! If I could rate higher than 5 stars I would. I will 1000% be returning!

Gary and Paula are very welcoming! We had a unique situation and they worked with us, so I can t thank y all enough. This place is one of a kind and would highly recommend to anyone. The convenience of everything here is awesome. No room keys just a code. No quarters needed for laundry, the machines take debit card and are very new. You can park 5 steps from your door. It s nice and quiet and if your up for a hike there is a little mountain for a nice view of the area. Every time we are in the area, we will be here!

What a great find off the beaten path! Recently renovated but has kept some of the 1950s charm and super clean. Gary was so friendly and accommodating. We were traveling with 2 other couples, and there was an indoor gathering place as well as an outdoor area.Rooms: Very clean, comfortable beds, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker.

We won't stay anywhere else. Barbara and the staff are wonderful, they make you feel like family. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels and amenities and if you need something all you have to do is let them know and they are right there. They have an on-site laundry room with plenty of pay washing machines and dryers. A lot cheaper than taking your clothes to town. We look forward to staying at the Range Inn every year.

We stayed here at the RV park with our class A motor home. The park is super easy to access and hookup/unhook a tow vehicle. The park offers very level gravel parking with full hookups and good WiFi. The laundry facility was the nicest we have found in our travels with new large and machines and kept very clean. Highly recommended, and will return to stay longer.

This has got to be one of the nicest, homiest motels I have ever stayed at. Barbara, the owner, let me check in a little early, which was greatly appreciated. Comfortable, REAL BEDS, perfectly clean and nicely decorated. Back away from traffic noise, it was kind of like a private little cabin. Highly recommended!

Every single time I call to check availability she lies! I guess for some reason she does not like renting her rooms out to locals, I can understand there are some people that are not necessarily responsible adults, but that's no excuse to not rent to everyone or at least a few. It makes absolutely no sense to me if I would like to get away for just a weekend or night for either a surprise for my significant other for an anniversary type thing. She seems very rude when you do bring it up to her, if I could do no stars I would. It's discrimination point blank!

Have wanted to stay here since I first saw it from the highway 25+ years ago. Finally did. It's recently remodeled inside the rooms and very clean and comfortable. Fortunately the outside maintains the historic look of it's 1930s construction. And best of all, you CAN climb the peak...at your own risk. I didn't make it all the way to the top, but the view is amazing half way up, too!
