This business is friendly and most importantly honest. They make no promises they can t keep and they don t take any job just for the money. They re up front about price and always call if there is any additional cost not previously quoted. I highly recommend Golden Rule Auto Care

It was my first time going to Golden Rule Auto Care and their google reviews said it all. James went above and beyond in finding out what was wrong with my car and gave me all the honest details and answers that I was looking for with fair price so I am defiantly going back to them from now on and they treat you like a family is another great thing about them that I noticed.

I've been going to this repair shop for many (something like 20+) years now. They know me well and are getting to know my kids. That alone should tell you what you need to know. This is the only place I'll go for car repairs other than the car dealer. These guys are honest, do great work, have great customer service, and don't try to make you pay for things you don't need. I can't recommend them enough.

I've been bringing my car here for 9 years and every single time it's been a great experience. They're honest and reasonably priced, and have tons of conveniences: online appointments, text updates, text/email pictures of the problem, key pickup/dropoff, shuttle service, free wifi, free water, waiting area TV, and awesome employees! They have a warranty on their work but I've never needed it, everything has stayed fixed. Last time my car broke down, I paid a little extra to tow it past several other shops and have it fixed here.

Very friendly guys. Quick to receive my vehicle, clear explanation of their process, great explanation of what was done, very considerate on the cost, and quick dismissal when I picked up; always with a smile and a quick joke.Excellent experience !! I usually don t write reviews but Golden Rule Auto has been the best car service provider I have ever used. They do amazing work and are so kind and honest. Definitely recommend!

I had a great experience. James explained the services and gave options on how it could be carried out. There was no pressure to do business with him. I love that he gave me options and made things easy. They even offered a shuttle for drop out and pick up. I liked everyone I encountered.

Excellent customer experience! Wasn t a simple job, in fact I moved the car from another service center to Golden Rule in Rowlett based on recco from another mechanic friend. They are thorough and honest with reasonable prices for great work they back up with warranty! Golden Rules

Great and friendly service. Came in to have my transmission flushed and filled with fresh fluid, 120,000 miles. Didn't get the usual nonsense other shops have given me, you need to replace this, this is dirty, blah blah blah. Looked my vehicle up for regular maintenance stuff and presented it to me in an honest way. This is my go-to place from now on, and after just one visit!!! Good job James for keeping it real!Update: I brought the truck in because the brakes were squealing very loudly. Thought I had a brake seize up on me loud! They looked it over and found dried mud caked behind the rotors where I couldn't see it. Didn't even charge me to hammer it out. They wouldn't even let me clean up the mess either. Now I'm looking around trying to find something wrong, just to hangout up there.

I brought my card in because I kept hearing something grinding (or so I thought). I brought it in at 1 and picked it up around 5 (it was ready earlier but I was at work). Come to find out my under carriage was dragging and I didn't even know it. They fixed that for me, topped off my coolant, and returned my car free of charge. Anytime Ive needed something with any of my cars I brinf it to them. They do good work, and normally get my cars back to me sooner than quoted.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This place is first class! They keep you advised every step of the way by sending you a text at every step of your diagnostic or repair.We took our truck in for water leaking into the cab during rain. This has been an ongoing issue for quite awhile. We even have had the truck at a local dealership for this same issue and they kept the truck for 3 days and could not figure out the problem.Anyway, these guys pulled the truck into their shop, and within 15 minutes pulled it out and told me that the drains from the sunroof were clogged. They blew out the drains and said the water was now draining properly.I was impressed with how quickly they diagnosed and fixed the problem. Then, On top of the great service they advised me there was No charge this time.Just a bunch of great guys, everyone is very polite, knowledgeable and honest. They have earned our business once again!!

As a woman I m always weary about auto repair shops and that they are going to try and up sale me or rip me up off BUT not at Golden Rule! They are honest and upfront and always very helpful!!! They go above and beyond and truly care about their customers.

So my initial visit required a follow up. There was no additional charge for a problem that was unrelated to the initial intermittent starting issue. Great customer service, excellent integrity and very competitive pricing. The shop was very professional and courteous. I was fortunate my car was towed there in the morning and ready to go at closing time. I hope I don t have to go back, but if my car needs help, they ll be the shop I call.

This auto shop is amazing! Everyone is so nice and works so hard. I had a long week of car issues and they really helped. They even drove me back to work. They are so considerate. I also appreciate their patience with all my phone calls. Also, they inspected my grandfather s car a couple of weeks ago and were so fast. Thank you all for everything!

Last year I had a really good experience with Golden Rule, in Rowlett, TX. This year, sadly, not so much. I dropped my truck off to have the fuel filters replaced (Diesel, so there are two filter). Usually, it cost $140-$170. To have these replaced. I was quoted over $450. By Golden Rule. I also had a squeaking sound that was driving me crazy. They told me that the cab mounts were bad and it would be $2600 to replace.I decided to forgo any repairs and picked the truck up. I went to auto zone and purchased a fuel filter kit for $70 dollars and within 30 minutes I replaced these filters. I also priced cab mounts and was able to find a quality set, with a life time warranty for $500.While the staff at Golden Rule was extremely friendly and Professional, I feel their prices are extreme and would encourage you to shop around.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This was my first experience with Golden Rule Auto Care and it won t be my last. I took my F150 in with what I thought was a transmission fluid leak. When they didn t find a transmission leak they went the extra mile and pressure tested the coolant system and found the leak. They were able to get me back on the road a day early and $500 under the initial estimate. They really do live up to their name and their motto!

Thank you to this awesome auto mechanic in Rowlett Tx that helped me get back on the road again! I was coming in from Rockwall and broke down at the Sonic right next door to Golden Rule. There mechanics were super friendly and helped me get my car started.I strongly recommend this repair shop if you need your car, truck, or classic worked on!

The team at Golden Rule Auto Care was friendly, knowledgeable, and priced appropriately! This business has a community/familial feel to it, which I appreciate very much in a world full of chain businesses everywhere. I now live in Dallas but still chose to drive across town for this first class customer service. I took my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee in when the AC kept shutting off intermittently. The first time I took in, of course, the AC started working again so the diagnostic testing they did was inconclusive. They did not charge me anything since they were unable to diagnosis the issue I thought this was a perfect example of their motto of treating people how they would like to be treated as most places will still attempt to charge you some sort of labor/testing fee. I brought it back when my AC went out again and they were able to get it fixed within 48 hours. Thank you for being simply wonderful, Golden Rule team!Service: Air conditioning
