I recently had my state inspection done at Phil s Service, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. From start to finish, the experience was seamless and professional. I showed up early to the shop so my muffler could cool down so they can change my catalytic converter. I sat here for 3 hours waiting. So they can tell me they can t do the job. So I told them ok. They also told me about other issues on my car to up sale me. Then they charged me $177.00 to do nothing to my car. I spoke with Ben about the price all he could say I have to pay my employees. I don t recommend this shop unless you re ready to get ripped off and spend money.

The only drawback is their operating hours they close at 5:30pm; extending them would provide greater convenience, especially for those with tight schedules. It s never too long of a wait; the staff is refreshingly friendly & professional.I think the best aspect of this auto shop is their convenient location. Their efficiency is boosted by the proximity to the vehicle registration office.. need an inspection to qualify for registration? Boom, boom! I call that a guaranteed pleasant visit, on convenience alone.

Amazing customer service and got more than what I asked for. They could ve just changed my oil and replaced my brakes like I simply asked but they went above and beyond. By placing down a protective floor mat to not get mud in my car, filled up my wind shield wiper fluid & reset my meter so I know when I need another oil change.

Didn't put oil back in the car yet wanted to replace engine afterwards. No SirAnd then you respond????? What are you truly trying to say? The truck was driven no more than 40 miles yet had the car for two days. Naturally. It was the weekend. I hope others appreciate my comment of the treatment received from your business. Have a great day.What we can do is:We can pay for the parts to replace the Head Gaskets and you eat the labor. There was no oil in that truck when I checked it myself. Great staff and technicians. Went in to have a oil leak inspect and they came back with more then what was expected. Meaning they went above the call of what I was asking or paying for to get me a true diagnostic to keep my truck running properly. The ladies at the front were nice and also helpful. The service was very poor. It took 3 days to work on my car. They didn t call me when car was done. They over charged me on labor for parts that I already had. One part was defective and they didn t tell me. So my car was left the same way but was charged a extreme amount for nothing!

I had an issue with my 17 F-150. Needed new turbos. Local dealer cost to repair was over 10k. With genuine parts from rock auto and excellent repair service from Phil s- I was able to repair my truck for less than half of the dealer quote. Couldn t be more pleased.

RUN!!!! This is the worse company you can ever take your car to, YES they have some good reviews, Tammy front desk is the only person in that company that has any respect. Steve and Ben don t care about anything but MONEY!! I took my 2018 Dodge Charger in for over heating issues possibly the thermostat on March 24th, also I asked for a QUOTE on a tune up. After they checked my car I did need a thermostat which I told them that maybe the issue, they fixed my car after having it for 2 days and then advised me on what ELSE needed to be fixed on the car (WHICH I DID NOT ASK THEM TO DO BUT THOUGHT WELL THAT WAS COURTEOUS) as follows:Remove & Replace Water PumpRemove & Replace Engine Oil Filter AdapterWYNNS COOLANT SYSTEM SERVICE (UNIVERAL)Brought my car back in on May 9th for they same issue OVERHEATING they checked the car again and confirmed the thermostat was the issues again it failed according to Phil s front staff NOT TAMMY!! Next is what make this so disgusting due to the fact they DID NOT replace my water pump and the other recommended repairs that my thermostat they put on was NOTUNDER WARRANTY and they can t fix it. BASICALLY I would have to pay again. So after having my car all day again that let me know this about 5pm YES I was in constant contact with them. Take my car to Nyle Maxwell May 10th to have them check why my car is overheating AGAIN. The results where my thermostat was leaking from the bottom, when they removed it, the thermostat housing unit screw hole at the bottom was STRIPPED and hence causing the leak which cause my car to overheat so not only do I need a new thermostat I also now need to replace the thermostat housing so when the thermostat itself it put in there won t be any leaks the hole at the bottom of the housing won t be STRIPPED. Called Phil s and spoke to Ben and he exact words WE CAN TELL IF THATS TRUE SINCE SOMEONE ELSE TOOK OF THE THERMOSTAT!!! Sir I brought it back to you to look at since you put that part on and was they last to touch my car regarding that issue. Instead I was denied service and you did not value the part warranty again due to the fact I did NOT let you perform the recommended repairs. Now I m out of the money I spent with your for repairs, and now have to pay to have someone else CORECT your mistake that your RAN from. It s VERY HARD to support local businesses when this is their treatment! Did not know we are not free to shop around for what works best for US the customer. Be blessed!!

During my drive from Amarillo to Killeen (to visit our grandson over Thanksgiving) my Ford Ranger developed a noise in the left front. Phil's Service was able to inspect my car after a short wait and with no appointment. When I arrived Reeva Trombley greeted me in a very friendly and professional way. Even though I was an out of town visitor, she treated me as a valuable customer. When the work was complete, she thoroughly explained what was done and that no malfunctions or issues were discovered. The bill was very fair for the inspection that was accomplished. In addition to praising the way I was treated and the outstanding customer service, I also need to praise the honesty of the technician and service advisor. It would have been easy for them to manufacture a malfunction since I came in with a concern, but they didn't. I highly recommend Phil's service and will keep their card for reference during future visits to the area.

I am beyond happy that Phil s service was suggested to me for repairs to my Silverado. We started having issues with the Stabiltrack which led to ABS light and several other issues flashing on our dash. On another note, Our truck was lifted close to 3 years ago. We knew with the wheel size and the shape of the wheel walls we would possibly have rubbing. We had several alignments at another place since day one of getting rims and it lifted. Nothing but issues after issues. Phil s not only fixed the issues we came in with. But after 3 years we have no more rubbing. We are beyond happy with their work and the knowledge of the entire staff. I would stop going anywhere else and go to Phil s and get it done right the first time.

My Check Engine light came on. I googled local shops in the area and read quite a few reviews for several shops. Phil's came out on top. I took my car in to have it assessed. They charged, I believe $128 dollars just to look at it. (No, they did not deduct the amount from the total bill) I thought it would've been more professional if they would've have, considering I chose them to do the repairs. During the assessment, of course, they found other things wrong with the car. They text a summary of what need to be repaired on a scale of immediate, soon, recommended (something like that) with a total cost of repairs. I didn't mind this. I approved several items totalling under $500. They again texted me with new findings, totalling $1990+, including separate costly inspections. This, I did not expect or like. I have never dealt with anything like this. I'm used to mechanics checking the car once, finding the problems and advising the client of any and all issues up front. I was furious. I so wanted to take my car out of there but I HATE searching for honest mechanics, just like lawyers, doctors, and dentists - you're at their mercy. Nonetheless, I approved the work. I brought my car in about Noon and the car was ready the following morning about 8:30 A.M. (that's a plus). Upon arrival to pick up my vehicle, I asked if they can refund a few of those inspection fees, they obliged by removing one in the amount of approximately $65. I then asked if they offered military discounts. They advised they do, 10 percent. Then advised they could not do both, inspection and military discount. I believe the inspection fees are a total rip off because how else will you be able to fix the car without first inspecting it??!! I would be understandable if I were taking the car to another shop to have the wok done. Anyways, I go to pay this hefty bill and they ask, "how will you be paying, cash or credit?" I say "credit". Guess what they said..."oh, that'll be an additional charge of $65". I don't remember the exact amounts but they are very close. So the amount they so graciously removed was paid anyways. I walked out of there feeling as though I had just gotten !@#$%^. I got in my car and drove away, never to return. As I'm driving, I notice the car drives so much better, the noise I used to hear was gone, it picks from 0 to 60 in a flash on the highway - no stalling at all, no clunking. I've been driving it 60 miles a day to and from work. I'm still not happy about the aforementioned events but I must admit, WHATEVER THE MECHANICS DID, THEY DID IT IN A TIMELY MANNER AND SO FAR I AM SATISFIED WITH HOW MY CAR NOW RUNS. ALSO, I WAS ADVISED THERE IS A 24 MONTH WARRANTY ON THEIR WORK! THIS IN ITSELF TELLS A LOT ABOUT THE SHOP.

I took my car in to have an alignment done. After they get the car on the lift for inspection they then stated that I'd need to get my transmission looked at because it was leaking transmission fluid and a clicking noise was coming from the transmission when tire was spun. First of off when I came in it wasn't leaking I had just changed fluids 2 days prior. But what I did notice after this visit was that my dipstick for my transmission was bent out of shape. It's almost as if they jammed it in and aside from that they also broke a hose near the transmission. Im so glad i didnt give them the 250$ they asked for just for them to fix some thing that they broke. As for the clicking noise turns out that is common on 6f35 transmissions. I may need a axle seal at most but not 250$ to check the transmission. Then probably another 200$ to replace a seal. I've done all the work on my front end they thought maybe hey this guy spend alot on his vehicle has a new front end lets stick em well make it seem like the transmission is no good. Plus there's one lady at the front desk whose always got an attitude so rude!

They diagnosed the problem with my vehicle immediately and suggested other maintenance. Had all the maintenance done within 24 hours. I liked that the estimate they send you includes pictures of everything so you can see what's going on. They also called me about a week afterwards to check in and make sure the repair worked and I wasn't having any more issues.

They misdiagnosed my vehicle. They still try to charge me when they diagnosed it right the second time horrible company and we re very rude to me. Save your money and go to fire stone. At least they wouldn t charge you if they misdiagnosed it.
