Read the reviews and was looking forward to working with them. Was quoted 2k for spark plugs on my BMW 4 1/2 hours labor?? The lady upfront obviously works on commission. When I picked up the car she gave herself an out by asking if I wanted to speak to the mechanic, which I m certain would ve gave me a better price on such a simple job. Got the work done elsewhere for less than half their cost. Make sure you get a second or third opinion before using them.

If I could, I d leave zero stars. I brought my car in RIGHT AT OPEN knowing what was wrong with my car. I told them I needed an oil plug extraction/and or an oil pan replacement. I even gave them a piece of paper with CLEAR instructions. No where on on that piece of paper did it mention anything other than the extraction and oil pan. They never got back to me ONCE for a quote, I called FIVE TIMES, finally pulled up to the location AT CLOSE and they were extremely rude and hostile when I asked for my car back. Then told me when I tried to get it back that we aren t settled bc they replaced my brake lights and I asked them to . No I didn t, you just lost a sale, saw the break lights I bought myself and planned on replacing myself in my front seat, and wanted to charge me for something. Then proceeded to cuss me out and throw the dirty lights back into my front seat and slam my door shut. They 1000% were trying to take advantage of a young girl, luckily I wasn t born yesterday. Take your money ANYWHERE ELSE.

For 3 weeks, I called trying to find out the status of my car. They would never return my calls or give me an update. Finally, they called me to let me know that they weren't interested in doing the job and told me to come and pick up the car. This was told to me as they were closing for a 3 day weekend. I was forced to wait 3 more days before I was allowed to pick my still broken car. This is the most unprofessional service I've ever experienced. Highly disappointed.

Took my BMW to get Diagnostics done. They found and repair the issue the same day. Way cheaper than at the dealership next door!!!

I came in with a mysterious check engine light on and Tim ran some tests on my car, found the issue and had me out the door quickly. I came in from Austin to visit my family and was very impressed by the speed. The staff was very friendly and helpful also! I would recommend this place to anyone I know with a German car needing work. Very pleased!Service: Oil change

I had my BMW towed here after it would not start, Tims german looked at it pretty quickly and give me a quote over 5 k i was like what. After thinking about it a day i then paid another tow had it taken to the dealership and they said all i needed was a connector and they had me out of there for under eight hundred dollars NOT COOL

I was very happy with the service. Our car is a 2006 VW New Beetle. We came in with an engine light that two other shops could not or would not fix. One of the shops gave a huge estimate and then said they didn't have the parts..Tim's not only fully repaired the Bug, but did it for half the estimate of the other shop. They were very friendly and professional. I highly recommend and will definitely be using them in the future.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Dropped off car on Monday afternoon, and today 2 days later on Wednesday I have it back. They found why my turbo wasn't working and charged me a fair amount to fix it. Happy with them and would definitely use them again in the future. Oh and they found an issue I wasn't aware of that's safety related and fixed that for 80. So happy with this shop, you can't go wrong with Tim's German Auto.

I brought my car in after going to the autobahn in hopes of getting a cheaper estimate on a coolant leak. I dropped it off on a Thursday and it wasn t seen until the next Thursday. They told me the issue was too difficult for them to fix and charged me $200. I was unaware of a fee when dropping my car off. When I asked about it they were rude and very vague about what they did for that price. They took advantage of a young girl in a desperate situation. Would not recommend this place as they basically charge for walking in the building.

I highly recommend Tim's for any car issues. They are fairly priced, honest, and experienced mechanics who know what they are doing. I feel extremely lucky to have found them when my car started to have engine issues and they helped me decide if it was worth fixing or to start looking for a new car. Can not say enough positive things.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Tim's services both our BMW cars and I have never had a bad experience. Infact when a water pump went out on my X5 they handled everything with the extended warranty company. Pat in the front office has been nothing but a friend anytime we have our cars there. I would recommend this repair shop to anyone who needs a good/honest German auto repair mechanic.

Quick, accurate, & mostly painless. These guys know European cars!European cars tend to have more expensive parts & labor costs than Asian & domestic cars, so that's not their fault. I have a car lift at home, but certain things are better left to the professionals!Friendly, home-like atmosphere. No stuffy attitudes. If you're looking to get spoiled with fancy beverages & lied to, go to the dealers in the surrounding area.

tims german auto employees were very friendly and nice. however the quote I was given was filled with maybe and what ifs..an radiator hose that was 15 yrs old failed... they quoted replacing both hoses ( acceptable)..water pump (less than 1 yr old), thermostat ( less than 1 yr old), expansion tank, sensors etc...1300.00 worth of work...I accepted hoses and sensor, they still charged me 500+ dollars!I can't recommend them...

I've been using Tim's for as long as I've been driving. The people that work in this shop are not only experienced technicians, they're honest about what they're doing to your vehicle and will try to get you the best prices possible. If at any point you have questions about their services, the status of your vehicle, or even just a mechanical question, there is always someone available at the shop to help answer any questions you may have. These people will go the extra mile to help any way they can.

Honest and Trustworthy. I have had bad experiences with service dealerships, but Tim's has never disappointed me. They review vehicle issues and will do everything they can to try and minimize the expense. I would highly recommend.

Great place, Had an issue with my 2005 Passat after another shop installed a replacement motor. Took it to Tim's and these folks know what they are doing and got the vehicle back on the road quickly. All I can say is, you get what you pay for and with Tim's I got more. The service during was great and the service after I'd paid and went on down the road was even better. When I had a question, they (Tim) was more than willing and helpful in assisting me with what I needed to do next. Its hard to find a shop that doesn't just want you business now, but they want you as a customer for years to come. They do great work and I will rely on them in the future. So if they are the shop to do your work, don't hesitate, get your car to them before something else goes wrong... Thanks Tim & staff for answering all my questions and helping me repair this TDI.... This shop is a joke. This was the second auto shop that I visited in hopes to fix an engine noise on my vehicle. i explain to Tim 2 (not the owner) that I had gone somewhere else before and that they never got back with me on the parts needed to fix the problem. He assure me that they would look into it and find the problem. Well, 2 days later and after me having to call them a bunch of times, Tim 2 calls back and tells me the car is ready. I am all exited and when I got there, the owner and his wife basically told me that their computer said there was no issues so nothing was done. the owner's wife (very rudely) told me that I had to pay the $55 before I could go back there and even look at my car. Well, long story short, don't go there! I should have trusted the bad online reviews on this one.

Thanks Tim's German auto! I found 6 loose bolts holding my engine and transmission in after a clutch job. Glad you charged me an extra $400 over quote to remove my exhaust. Something that takes me 30 minutes on jack stands on my driveway. Classy folks over there.

Please do not overlook the other reviews saying they will overcharge you. Compared to dubsquared (not only comparable, but more highly rated) their labor costs are more than double (2.5x). I can also confirm dubsquared completes services timely and well. Now they did complete their job faster than expected, but I have questions about their honesty. They tried to sell me on more than was necessary, and doubled down when I questioned once again. After cutting me off on the phone, they told me they ended up not needing to provide the extra services after all once I arrived (something, something sun was in our eyes). The actual technician who walked by gave me the hint that it was never in question. It seems there is a divide between the front office trying to oversell, and mechanics trying to do there job. I don't doubt my car was serviced well, but as far as the business end of this company I would not recommend.

Best customer service I have ever had. Spoke with Tim about my jetta wagon wipers not coming on and that I had it diagnosed elsewhere as a comfort control module failure at a $600 repair. Tim suggested I bring it in for a quick scan before spending that kind of money. He found the fuse was missing, replaced fuse and the wipers worked. He could have very well taken advantage of me and got a hefty repair bill, but he did not. Very honest people and I would not hesitate to bring my vehicles back to them again!James in Newark Tx.

The staff at Tim's German Auto will provide you with superior workmanship and service. They are a fun, caring, and eccentric group that is never boring to visit, even the office dogs are fun. If you are looking for locally owned and genuine car people this is the place for you.

I paid almost $3k and my car was still not working; they swore that the car was not acting that way whenever they got it when it was like that since they beginning (for keeping it for almost 3 weeks I think that s crazy)In the quote I received it never said the car would not end up working it just said that the car could possibly still go in limp mode which doesn t mean the car wasn t going to start at all. They were surprised it didn t and still didn t do anything about it.

Best VW repair shop in DFW. They know all the quirks of these German cars. We have a 2001 Passat. Tim's gets us in and fixed in a very timely manner. They are so friendly. Highly recommended!

With me owning a German car, they are the only place I can go to and know it'll get done right. Every time I go there I am always greeted by their small dog and kindness from them.
