Took my Mercedes here for some work and they diagnosed the problem instantly. They were very upfront with honest with pricing and explaining the issue. I would definitely come again

I wanted to find a auto repair shop that was honest and trustworthy and I found it at Hunter Automotive in Watauga, Texas. This is my new Go To Repair Shop for any major auto repairs. They do it all except transmission and body work.It's a locally-owned business & the owner keeps a sharp eye on the business even though he doesn't have to. During a time when most shops are short staffed, he has a great full staff of Mechanics that know what they are doing. They are A+ Accredited with the BBB also.I think it's the first time I took my truck to a mechanic shop and totally did not worry about it being fixed right or being taken advantage of. They were able to tell me what was wrong, what it would cost and how long it would take. The price and timeline were very reasonable. My bill was exactly as quoted with no surprises. And when they were done my car was fixed! Thanks guys!

I HIGHLY suggest you go to these guys. They are so very kind, very honest, and the best prices around! I told them my brakes were grinding. They checked them for FREE and they told me they were fine. They also checked my air pressure in my tires and my fluids, all at no charge. I was so pleased with their honesty and gave them a tip. I am so very happy with them. Other places would have lied to get money out of me, but these guys? Oh no! They were honest! I love them!!!!

I've been a customer since 2008 and have taken a variety of cars to Hunter with a variety of problems, even my boat. Every experience has been a positive one. Bill, Alan, and the guys in the shop are good at their job and honest. If the shop standard says 1.5 hrs on the labor that's what you pay. Every issue was correctly troubleshot and repaired right the first time. I've only had to return after a repair once and even then it was a testament to their outstanding service. After having some work done, I had a crankshaft pulley bolt back off which threw the belts off. They had it towed in and repaired it free of charge. I'm positive it wasn t due to their negligence, but they stated it was something they should have caught and they took care of it for me. I still disagree they should have caught it, but that s the integrity of this shop. I can t guarantee they are the cheapest repair shop around, but I can guarantee they do the job right, they re reasonable, they re fair, they re honest, and they stand by their work and reputation. As long as I live in the DFW area they re my shop. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good honest repair shop.

First time coming Into the shop, and wasgreeted by Bill (the owner) who displayed a warm smile and great hospitality throughout the service.Charles helped solve the problem quickly, and I was out in no time.Highly recommend.Will be coming back for future repairs.Genuine peopleAnd quality service!

We have used them twice now. Each time they are quick fair and very reasonably priced. Brought my car in expecting the standard diagnostic fee at the very least, and he said it was an easy fix and charged me only $40

I had read good reviews about this shop but that was not my experience. A 15 minutes diagnostic costs $135 after tax to be quoted $800 more on labor than Calloways or Watauga Automotive. It felt predatory and I can't recommend it.

I've been going to this place for awhile and I'm always happy with the service, but I do want to commend them on a recent service specifically. It was about a week ago, I sent my husband's car in to get an oil change and inspection. Forecast showed hail coming in (this is just days after a ton of huge hail came through and wreaked havoc on parts of DFW). They call about 30 minutes before it was set to hit saying the car was ready. I told them I was worried about the upcoming hail (I typically walk after dropping off or to pick up because we live close enough to get a nice walk in). They said no problem, and that they could pull it into the bay to ensure the cars safety and I could pick it up the following day. So they saved me and the car the possibility of hail damage - lucky for us the hail passed over, but the kindness and consideration was very appreciated - a great neighborhood auto place.

I took my 2000 F150 to Hunter Automotive because the heater wasn't working. They quickly identified the problem, charged a fsir price and had my truck back to me in just a couple hours. Robert, at the front desk, was very polite and welcoming. A friend of mine had referred me to them. I would definitely return.

I have been going to Hunters for years now and always treated well. Bill is awesome to deal with. They get busy so be prepared to wait at times but to me that is a sign of a good shop. I recommend Hunter automotive.

Fixed air conditioner and it never worked right. They didn't put oil in the compressor and said they would fix it again but needed to drive it a while. So u did and when it totally in a 2 month time period it quite all together but ill have to pay labor all over again to have rhem fix it so ill suffer in the heat again this summer. I don't know why they did that to me.

Great experience over all. I have been going to Hunter for several years. They always fix the problem. One year I went to a different place to get my truck inspection and it failed. The place said I need a Cadillac converter. I called Hunter and told him what they said. He told me to bring it by so I did. They looked at it and there was a part, that was tied into the vacuum system. I can't remember what it was called, but that was my problem. I went to auto zone got the part and replaced it. Hunter did not charge me for there help and it fixed the problem. If you want an honest mechanic with honest prices Hunter is the best place to take your vehicle.

Honest and trustworthy, 2 traits that are very hard to find when looking for a reputable mechanic. I ve been going here for nearly 7 years. Bill is hands down one of the good ones.

Definitely deserving of this 5 star review. We had a project that was stumping myself and a few friends we even took it to another local shop and they couldn't figure out how to do it. Needless to say we brought the truck into Hunters and they did the job and the price was reasonable to boot. Thanks Allen

Bill and the crew at Hunter have been my mechanics since 2006. They have attended to my personal vehicles as well as my fleet trucks. From simple service to working on my Northstar systems they have done it all for me. Never had an issue with the scheduling of vehicles or the problem and trust me I have the weirdest issues with vehicles.

Great place owned by honest people. Ive had them inspect my truck every year and I have spent a few hundred dollars here in repairs. Fast service and quality work.

IST I CALLED TO ASK IF THEY WORK ON THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM, YES, THEN I ASKED IF I COULD GO BY THERE THIS MORNING, YES. DROVE THE CAR OVER WICH IS A 25 MIN. DRIVE. BILL WAS VERY FRIENDLY JUST LIKE THE LAST TIME I WAS THERE. BILL SAID THEY WOULD LOOK AT THE CAR AND GIVE ME A QUOTE. GAVE HIM MY CAR KEYS, AND TOLD HIM I WAS JUST GOING NEXT DOOR TO SHOP. ALMOST AN HOUR LATER I CALLED FROM THE STORE TO GET THE QUOTE, BILL SAID THAT THEY HAD JUST PULLED THE CAR IN AND IT WOULD BE A WHILE, THAT HE WOULD CALL ME. HOW EVER I WAS JUST NEXT DOOR SO I WALKED OVER. WHEN I GOT THERE I WALKED IN AND SAT DOWN,AT THAT TIME I WAS ASKED BY BILL IF THERE WAS SOMETHING HE COULD HELP ME WITH, I REPLIED THAT I DROPPED OFF MY CAR THIS MORNING, HE REPLIED THAT HE KNEW AND IF THERE WAS ANYTHING HE COULD HELP ME WITH IN AN ANGRY TONE AND AGAIN EXPLAINED THAT THEY HAD JUST TAKEN THE CAR IN AND IT WOULD BE ONE TO TWO HOURS, I SAID OK. SINCE I HAD NO OTHER WAY TO GET HOME. BUT LESS THAN 20 MINUTES LATER THE CAR WAS READY TO GO. BILL EXPLAINED WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR AND SAID IT WOULD COST ABOUT 1800 DOLLARS, I SAID NO NOT TODAY. BUT THEN HE GAVE ME A BILL FOR 156.00 DOLLARS FOR A BUNCH OF THING THAT THEY HAD TO DO TO THE CARS AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM. I PAID THE BILL. SAID THANK YOU, TOOK MY CAR AND DEPARTED. THEN I STARTED TO THINK, WHAT HAPPEN TO THE QUOTE? AND WHY DID BILL SEEMED ANGRY???. LEASON LEARNED. NEVER AGAIN BILL.
