Sonny has kept our cars and trucks on the road for the past 24 years. His prices are fair and the work is always the best in town. It's one of those places you just can't say enough good things about. My five star rating is really ten stars.

After spending $4,000 & 2 months at Valvoline to have work done on a 1993 Ford F150 pickup that was supposed to be general maintenance, that was running when it was brought in, the truck had to be towed someplace else because if was not drivable. 2nd Opinion was recommended. Sonny was provided a list of items done/replaced by Valvoline. There were items installed incorrectly, settings set wrong, parts replaced that didn't need to be replaced & a large piece of a gasket found in the oil pan. Sonny did manage to get the truck running but damage had been done internally & he could say how long the engine would last. A rebuilt engine was ordered (this was the original engine) & it has been delivered. Sonny has indicated it should take just 3-4 days to install the new engine. By the time we get the truck back it will have been 11 weeks since it was taken in & close to $9,000 spent. 2nd Opinion gas been extremely helpful, understanding, honest & has definitely been much quicker on getting the work done. Would recommend.

They were more than willing to help with my car problems. Up front they tell you they won't charge you anything until you're ready to pull your car out. They will make sure they give you the correct diagnosis. They are upfront with you

Do not trust them. They charged me 4000.00 to not fix my car ! Even the windshield wipers they put on didn't work ! Ladies beware of smooth talking Sonny the manager nothing but lies lies lies !!!

Minutes before closing and I had Our concern about a loose front end. I asked if they could kindly check it out to ensure that it was safe to drive home. . They were going to just look at it. However They brought the keys back. And told me it was fixed that the front end needed tightened. From a prior mechanic's work. . I could not believe that they handed me the keys and said have a nice day and that they wanted to ensure that I made it home safely Above All Else. . I tip the mechanic and inquired about further services. Little do they know that I buy and sell cars on the side and they will be getting all of our business from this point forward as their labor rate was more than competitive. It was below the competition. . I highly recommend you visit the shop that's been in business for over 30 years.

This place was GREAT, Sonny is awesome and so is the lady at the front desk who's name I can't remember right now. You need to drop your car off here if you have major work or need your entire car looked over. Otherwise I'd call for an appointment. Service is wonderful, through and fair. They will answer all your questions.

Can t say enough on how well we have been taken care of by 2nd opinion. We had our car towed in late afternoon at closing time. They had it diagnosed and repaired in less than 24hrs. Can't say enough good things about this shop. I had multiple repairs that had to be done to my 03 F250- shocks, exhaust leak, spark plugs, radiator, caliper/brakes/rotors, alignment and some electrical work. It got taken cared of and my truck feels good as new. They are very transparent and keep you in the loop every step of the way. My truck spent most of its life in Pennsylvania so its good a decent amount of rust, but these guys have the tools [torches! :) ] to take care of it. I wouldn't wana take my truck anywhere else, the quality is top notch. Be warned though, this shop has great credibility and alot of people take they're vehicles to get repaired here so it'll take a little bit before they'll get to look/ repair it. I'm very glad I ended up getting my Chevy Sonic repaired here. I have a 2013 Chevy Sonic that was leaking gasoline from the fuel rail and had taken it to another shop to get repaired. When that shop quoted $983, I brought it to 2nd Opinion instead. They charged a much lower rate and got to the repairs much quicker.They fix what they say they're going to fix, charge fair rates for parts and labor, and get things done when they say they will. This place is a hidden gem in the middle of the metroplex between Dallas and Fort Worth well worth the travel to get there the people at this location the entire staff are very friendly honest hard-working people just trying to do the best job they can do for you the customer. I have never felt more at ease leaving my vehicle in the hands of a machine shop or auto shop like I did here glad to hear that they ve been in business 40 years their reputation precedes them. If you ever need anything done to an automobile hands-down you need to contact these people immediately and let life become a lot easier . This place has given years of satisfaction and always rise to the occasion when it comes to providing customer satisfaction. I have taken my vehicles to have repairs and it s upfront & straight forward. Of course good service is hard to find. They waited even after closing to put my vehicle in garage and that s the kind of service that s just one but clear and concise knowledge of my automobile has always been given. Had them change a dead battery on my Chevy. Now it starts, but the windows have zero power, windshield wipers don t work and I get a ding every 90 seconds while driving telling me Roof Ajar for my convertible top. I got it back in worse condition than I left it. Waste of $600. Sonny and crew are incompetent and I will never, ever use them again. For anything. Would give zero stars, if possible.

Recently I started to hear a grinding noise in my rear brakes and my Husband was working out of town and I didn't feel safe. My husband called and talked to Sonny. He had me come over to the shop the next morning to see what was wrong as my vehicle only had 20,000 miles on the odometer. Not only was the problem diagnosed quickly but, even though they were extremely busy, they knew it was unsafe for me to be driving around so they took the time to fix my brakes and inspect and do additional inspection so I had peace of mind and was safe. My husband and I could rest easy because they went out of their way to get me safe and back on the road again. I was so grateful!!!!!!! My husband and I trust no other auto shop for repairs!Service: Auto brake repair

Sonny and his team are top notch. My 2011 Mustang GT is lowered, which effects the alignment. For years I ve neglected getting it corrected, but finally took it to Second Opinion Auto and Sonny knew exactly what to do with no hesitation. Highly recommend using them for any of your auto needs. They won t cheat you or try to take more unnecessary money, and will always inform you on their recommendations before proceeding with any work.

Everyone there with whom I spoke are very nice and friendly. Eddy did a great job tuning up my 65 Mustang with his 50+ years of experience. Sonny and the rest of them are pleasant to work with. AND the price was VERY AFFORDABLE for a tune up. PLUS, they give back to the community! Great folks.

Second Opinion Auto is the only place I go for Auto/Truck service. Sonny and his team go out of the way to go over and above to resolve any issue with my vehicles, they double check, test drive and give a personal update on the job they do. I am soooo pleased with the work they do, Sonny is a true leader (Go Patriots!Kody) Thanks to Dustin and Eddie for the work they did for me this week, it is much appreciated. Today was my second time using the services of 2nd Opinion. A+ experience both times. Reliable, kind, and better priced than the dealership for equal or superior care of my vehicle.I went in today to get a few indicator lights reset after a minor hydroplane. The dealership wanted to charge me for a full diagnostic, but I knew based on past experience that this was probably a quick system reset issue. Went over for a 2nd opinion and so glad I did. Quick reset, in and out in <5 minutes, no charge. They are GREAT!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

These guys are second to none. I was stranded on the side of the highway with a travel trailer in tow, and AAA recommended them. They were extremely accommodating while my truck was being repaired (broken fly wheel and starter), allowing me to keep my travel trailer on the premises overnight (due to the special circumstances) and putting two guys on my truck even though they were short-handed.They kept me informed every step of the way, while I waited in their comfortable customer lounge. I overheard some of the interactions they were having with customers down the hall, and although the phone was ringing off the hook, they treated each guest wonderfully, and even seemed to know a few by name!Overall, 10/10 service, speed, and value. I don't usually write online reviews but I wanted to share my terrific experience. Sonny is one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable mechanics I have met. He is not looking to do unnecessary work and took the time to answer all my questions. He kept to the estimated schedule and I couldn't be happier. Would recommend the shop to all my friends and family.

My car wouldn t start and I happened to be parked down the street from 2nd Opinion so I decided to go in and seek some help. Without hesitation they offered to help and sent a mechanic out to help start my car. Eddy helped me start my car in no time, and when I went back to pay, they said I owed them nothing. Sonny was super nice and helpful and got me back on the road. These are great people and they have great values!

They may do good work for some but not for me and others have complained too, they replaced a heater coil in my car 6 months later it went out I took it back and they said it was out of warranty and they would not even look at unless I paid them for the diagnosis, my mother was charged $600 for a brake job they said the drums were leaking and this on a car that never needed brake fluid, a neighbor of mine was charged $1,000 dollars for a failed repair on her mini van she had to pay to get her non running mini van back. Do yourself a favor and find a place with better customer service.

Quickly diagnosed the issue, were upfront about all costs and broke everything down to ensure I understood where the costs came from (labor vs. parts). Very speedy with the repair and always courteous on the phone and at the shop. Will definitely bring my vehicle here anytime a repair or maintenance is needed.

I was at 2nd Opinion today and the quality of the work they do is amazing all of their staff is knowlegdeable. From the front desk to the guys working on your car in the shop. they take the time to do it right, and they call you in 2weeks to make sure your car is still running well. To your satisfaction, all their work is fully guaranteed, it's like a second family over there.
