I recently had a family emergency that required me to leave town quickly. I was picking up a car for my mother and the tires were bad. When I came in I was helped immediately, and they didn t even charge me. I want to say a big thank you and to let you know that even though I live in SA we will buy all of our tires for all of our vehicles at Thompson Tire! Thank you for your help!

On a road trip down from Canada with new this year winter tires with about 15 k miles on them. We had a hint of vibration at 75-80 and decided to get the tires rebalanced before heading back north. Chose Thompson because of the good reviews. Brought it in, they took a twenty second look at the tires and told us they were worn and showing tread separation but didn t show us where. I said thank you very much and then took our vehicle to Goodyear as the tires are a Goodyear brand. Long and short, tires balanced at Goodyear and no issues at all and now running smooth as can be at highway speeds. Best case this was incompetence and worst case deliberately trying to pull a fast one.

Amazing service. I needed new tires for my Rv, they ordered them and got them in the next day. They called when they said they'd call and had me in and out of shop in an hour. Friendly and fast service.

Over the top customer service! Went elsewhere with a rental car and they wouldn t call the rental agency for payment. Came here and I was informed they would call the rental agency themselves and take payment over the phone. Easy easy.. I simply dripped it off and picked it up when it was ready... no rush I was told. They knew I was working and even accommodated that. Complete thumbs up for CS and honesty.

Recently discovered a bolt in my tire, and was sure that it would have to replaced. New to the area and my co-workers recommended Thompson Tire. I called and spoke to a young man (Dylan) who after getting disconnected actually was courteous enough to call me back so I could get an estimate. While explaining the issue he was honest enough to tell me that it could actually be repaired. I was able to drive to the shop without an appointment, and was greeted by Dylan who quickly diagnosed it as being repairable, where other businesses would have tried to get the new tire, etc purchase. The tire was fixed and I was out the door in less than 15 minutes for a minimal fee, while his staff were making other customers happy with their quick and professional service! I would highly recommend Thompson Tire and now know why they have such a great reputation!!!

For $120 I had an oil change, rotate and balance, and one flat repair. $120! I even provided my own oil and filter. What should have been a 30 minute service took 1.5 HOURS due to incompetent technicians. This is coming from someone with experience as a tire technician. Furthermore they marked up my rins instead of the tire to resonate location and placement. I have never seen this before in all my experience with tires. I will not give Thimpson Tire any more business.

Great people! Stopped by today for new tires on the camper before heading home, the guys had me in and out in about half an hour. All 4 new tires mounted and installed and I was back on the road. Great job and great customer service thank yall!

Went in for an alignment on lunch. Had me wrapped up in about 35 minutes and everything feels tight.- I come back about a week later for an oil change. Once my car is in the bay it's taking a long time for them to complete it. I usually do my own oil changes but I was on tight schedule and I remembered that I needed a special socket to remove the oil filter housing that they might not have. This was the issue and I had the socket with me. The reason I added this to the review is because there are a lot of automotive and oil change places that would have just not changed the filter and told me I was all set. The fact that they spent 20 minutes trying to figure it out before I mentioned that I have the socket speaks to the integrity of this business and their technicians.

I came here once just to inquiry about tires, mind you it was for a single tire. It would be $214 for just the tire and then upwards to $400 for the services. I'm sorry but you can do the job well but I will not pay $400 or more for just a simple tire replacement. I won't be taking business there if thatsbvbhow high they charge foe their customers

The service here was amazing. When other places wouldn t work on my rims for being powder coated, they granted me service and special ordered the tires for my car. When it came to the point where my tire pressure sensor gave out, they immediately had one ready for me and were patient with providing me answers and service. I definitely recommend this place for your vehicles maintenance needs 1000%

Had an alignment done on my F-150, total process was completed in about an hour. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and answered all of my questions. Dylan at the front was especially kind and had the mechanics check a few DIY things I had done. I would definitely recommend Thompson Tire for anyone needing automotive work done for very reasonable prices!

Excellent service. My trucks front end suspension was making all manner of weird noises and was all over the road. These guys fixed it at a reasonable price and in a timely manner now my 2006 drives like it s brand new.

Great service as far as automobiles go, the owner is amazing explains what's going to be done with a positive friendly attitude...comfy couches too. However, the cleaning attendant could have been more pleasant she, unfortunately, rolled her eyes at me for laughing aloud at a TikTok I was watching via Bluetooth earpiece. If not for her negative vibe I would have given this location a 5-star rating.

Replaced defective tires from Pirelli. Failed after numerous phone conversations and in person visits to return tires to pirelli. Very frustrating and would have been so easy in their part. We will choose another tire company and recommend different companies

Great service! I am thankful to receive that level of service in a small town! I called others about tpms leaks and they all said they had to be replaced until I called Thompson s. They had the ring seals I needed and quickly resolved my problem. Once there I realized that they have tires for all kinds of trailers and ATVs.

Needed a balance and rotate and was quoted $89 at Goodyear and so I called Thompson. They did it for $40. Family run and owed. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Super friendly and nice as can be. Almost fell asleep on their comfy couches. I will be going back in the future.

Thompson Tire is one of the most pleasant places in Del Rio! I came in with a tire with a slow leak. Immediately greeted. Tire being repaired within three minutes by a great mechanic. Repairs completed in less than 20 minutes. We love this place.

I got new tires for my trailer yesterday. After I got home, they realized they had put the OLD TIRES back on. Then, when they came to get the tires to switch them out, they didn t bring any of their own tools, and the mechanic working on the trailer had to do it for them. Definitely will never come here again. I should ve asked for a partial refund. Also, the tire busted the next day, so I m replacing it again.

EDIT 12/29/2015;How is a Dodge D350 which is a dually truck OEM out of the factory a "homemade"? Your idiocy is unbelievable.You did NOT tell me at any point in time that it was the wrong size, nor did I ever ask for a lower tier or ply tire. You sold knowingly sold me a used tire which was the incorrect one and lie about it in person and online.Yokohama did not refund any costs of either tire whatsoever. If they did, you withheld the funds. Your story also doesn't match up. Yokohama would not refund a tire if the ply was incorrect, which you state it WAS. So, you're caught in your own lie there. I asked for my money back in a civil manner, you and presumably the co-owner had a terrible attitude suggesting we buy a brand new tire for ignorance on your part.If you make up some lies, please make sure your story matches and is consistent across the board before fabricating it. Although it's pretty funny you think it's a home made dually when the truck is made that way out of the factory. Being in the business 20 years, I would have thought you'd know this, but cutting corners and taking no passion or integrity in your profession has its caveats I suppose.I hope Del Rio will realize the type of business and swindlers you are regardless of one mans opinion and terrible experience.Original Review:Absolutely repugnant experience.Let's start off by saying the owners have possibly the worst attitude I've ever seen towards customers. They couldn't care less of your problems and anything and everything that may cost them money or point to a fault of their own, they accept ZERO liability for.I had bought a new set of tires from them and within a year the tire completely fell apart. I thought this may have been covered by warranty or by Yokohama itself, WRONG. Thompson infact sold me a lower-tier (ply) tire on my vehicle which also turned out to be USED when I bought it and they claimed it was BRAND NEW. I confronted them with irrefutable evidence on my claim from Yokohama directly and they refused to reimburse me for the cost or accept any responsibility. Not only that, they had absolutely awful attitude and zero professionalism in handling it.The tire in question blew out on the road and could have killed me, but I guess all they care about is cutting corners and selling USED tires of the wrong type. They did admit it was the wrong type, but failed to mention it when I barely bought it? Being tire "experts" and having an established business well over a decade, it would seem they'd know what type of tire to use on a vehicle, no? I guess not.So in summary, they cut corners, have very deceptive/unethical business practices, accept zero liability for errors on their part and have absolutely atrocious attitudes toward customers.I regret going to this business, wasted my money buying a new tire because of outright lies and incompetence and risked my life because this tire blew out while on the highway.

Stopped by in my truck to get the wheels aligned because they clearly were going bald on one side, but they were too lazy to even check it!!! Wouldn't recommend this place at all. Pls just save your money and your time.

Just fixing a flat, or getting your vehicle alignment done. Ladies this place is the best to get some unique shopping done. I like this place very much.
