So grateful I brought my vehicle to Adam's Automotive. Louis went above and beyond to provide great service for my vehicle. I brought it in unsure of what I would expect as I've had horrible service at shops prior to this. When it was time to pick up my car, Louis had me test drive the vehicle to ensure I was not feeling any more issues and thoroughly described how they serviced the engine. My vehicle is running wonderfully and I feel at ease with the warranty on the work that they did. They did a thorough diagnostic and sent me a report of what they found in other areas of my vehicle and their recommendations. Thank you Adam's for a job well done.

I recently attended this garage with my car for a state inspection and bumper-to-bumper inspection. Initially, my impression, based on the environment and signage, was an automotive garage that has pride in treating its customers well and takes care in the work it performs. However, as I got into the experience and received feedback from the mechanic and service agent, I got the impression they were performing aggressive patronizing sales tactics to try to make me spend money not needed to. They did not tell me the car had passed its inspection until I asked them. Before that, they concentrated on a rear shock absorber. They tried to explain there was an oil leak from it and it would likely fail causing damage. As someone who has some mechanical experience, visually this was not a convincing argument for me. If there was a leak, it was very small. I agree that it is important to perform preventative maintenance to prolong a car's life. However, it appears Adams has adopted a culture of trying to scare its customers to react to in my view in this case a minor issue at considerable cost, which instead just needed monitoring. I say this because several months later, when I perform a bounce test on the claimed effected area, the suspension still reacts as it should settling the car quickly, so there is in my view still no issue to resolve. Also at the time, I was quoted over $700 to address the issue (approx $350 parts and $350 fitting), but when I researched the shock absorber part online it was priced at $27 and I could replace it myself without special tools. I appreciate I would be paying for the garage's expertise to replace the part safely and the garage needs to point out in its view any potential issues to address. However, in my view, they were trying to charge for the whole rear driver-side suspension assembly, when only one part of the assembly, the hydraulic part, needed replacing and hence were attempting a significant overcharge for parts and labor costs. This culture in my view is not ethical. I caution patrons of this garage to be aware of this in my view less than ethical culture to create business for themselves. No Doubt Adams will deny this culture. Regardless I do urge them to honestly look at themselves and make changes towards an honest ethical garage relying on a good reputation generated by ethical work practices, rather than scaring unethical tactics to generate business.

I was soooo shocked they quoted me $1779+ for an alternator belt and tentiner. Said it would be a 4-hour job and not with OEM parts. Then tried the old fear tactic by the belt display, fear of driving, and I knew it was weird when the person asked me to step outside for the quote instead of at the front desk. Needless to say I declined and asked them to put my Mini Cooper back together so I could go home and find a more fair and honest and less fear tactic delivering shop. I did and the service tool 20 minutes to get the parts 1 hr for the service and cost $457 total! I tipped them for the honesty.

The price of car repair is high, outrageous. I would rather lose the customer than charge less. This is a typical example of a rubbish car repair shop. My car is not worth that much money. How can you have the nerve to ask for such a high price? Who gave you the courage? I will file a complaint with the relevant department.

Was having a pretty rough start to my day trying to find a place to do a state inspection on our car before my appointment to register it. I m 30wks pregnant and had my three year old with me so my emotions were pretty crazy that morning too ran into Adam s on maps and called them and a very friendly voice answered the phone, helped me to finally calm down. Arrived there and the staff was extremely polite, friendly, and very helpful. The head mechanic working on our car took me in the garage to show me what was wrong with our car and the other mechanics even let my son (who loves cars) hold a flashlight a look under the car with us. I know absolutely nothing about cars. I know how to drive them and that s about it so it was great to visually see what was going on. Sadly the car didn t pass so had to cancel my appointment, but they were able to fix the most extreme problem on the car. I definitely recommend this place!

Everyone I spoke to here was kind & helpful. They took the time to show me potential future problems after I had already checked out, which made it feel like it wasn t a sales tactic. Then gave me a discount on my oil change & small repair I came for, and didn t charge for the inspection. Definitely will come back!

Had a ton of trouble with service and communication. It took a week for them to diagnose the problem, after I had already told them the exact problem. Personally I feel it's overpriced too. This would have been a one star review however they were lenient on waiting for me to come in once my car was repaired. They also responded very well when I told them my complaints.

Adams Automotive is my new go-to for anything automotive. They took great care to explain all work, provided drop-off and pickup while work was performed, and showed genuine care for customer service. Very happy to have found them.

My experience with Adams Auto Repair was disheartening and raised concerns about their integrity. Adams Auto Repair's apparent honesty and customer-centric approach are overshadowed by a series of questionable diagnoses, unnecessary repairs, and a disappointing lack of accountability. I advise caution and thorough consideration before entrusting your vehicle to their care.Initially, I brought in my car for a check engine light and power loss. They diagnosed a turbo replacement at $7,000 (more the blue book of the vehicle). Considering the age of the vehicle, I initially opted against the repair, prompting a call from technician Felix; who persuaded me to proceed, and had the car for an unexpected week and a half. After the first repair, the same issues persisted. When we brought it back, Adams claimed they had missed a gasket leak, and fixed it for free. However, two weeks later, the problems returned. This time Adams diagnosed a timing belt issue, quoting ~$3,500 to repair. My skepticism grew and I suggested a possible misdiagnosis of the initial turbo problem. Adams dismissed my concerns, and even went so far as to deem the vehicle "unsafe" to drive without the suggested timing belt repair. Frustrated and apprehensive, I sought a second opinion from the dealer. The dealer diagnosed a turbo sensor error (within a day), fixed it for less than $1,000, and three months later, the car is trouble-free.While Adams Auto Repair may present themselves as honest, friendly, and responsive, my experience reveals a disconcerting lack of transparency. The detailed pictures and videos provided as part of their service seem to serve more as a cover-your-backside measure rather than genuine proof of malfunctioning parts. When I shared the pictures, the dealer's mechanic expressed skepticism, stating that it's impossible to determine the actual condition of the parts from the media provided (thus, my feeling that the pictures are CYA). Although he "couldn't be sure," the dealer s mechanic suggested that the turbo replacement was unnecessary--the failed turbo sensor would present the same problem and since the turbo replacement didn t resolve the error, it was unlikely that it was the culprit. When I tried to communicate the discrepancy to Adams, they didn't respond.

Best of the best! Grant is so knowledgeable and always very helpful. Also, Daniel went above and BEYOND when I was having battery issues. I will continue to give Adam s my business and also pass the word around about how WONDERFUL this shop is!!!

First off, being a woman and having car trouble can feel daunting. I work in medicine and can treat a patient, but my poor Jeep is out of luck when it needs to be fixed. Adams Automotive was SO THOROUGH when I only needed an inspection. It prompted me to complete repairs I didn't even know existed. This is frustrating because I had completed ALL of my oil changes at the dealership (they were supposed to be completing bumper-to-bumper inspections as well)... Guess they will now be missing out on my business because Adams Automotive will be completing them from now on. Photo reports sent to my phone, friendly customer service from Felipe and Keyshawn, and courtesy checkups after service completed is to be expected when going to Adams'. 5 STARS without ANY reservations.

Though five-star ratings are a beacon of success, they alone cannot narrate the full story of my stellar services received.Upon calling Adams Automotive in Cypress for my sons BMW I was introduced by Felix. Felix customer service was outstanding. He took the time to listen to my concerns and provided expert advice on the necessary repairs. What impressed me the most was the transparency and honesty exhibited throughout the process. Felix kept me informed every step of the way, explaining the repairs in detail and providing fair pricing options. Not only did they complete the repairs promptly, but they also went above and beyond by performing a thorough inspection and offering preventive maintenance recommendations to ensure the longevity of my vehicle. I highly recommend Adams Automotive (ask for Felix) to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy automotive services. Their exceptional service, expertise, and dedication to customer satisfaction have earned my trust and loyalty!Just took my CLA Mercedes a week later for service too and I must say the quality is consistently outstanding, exceeding my expectations every time.I was completely impressed with their professionalism and customer service too.Thank you, Felix and Team at Adams Automotive Cypress!Joe Ramos

Outstanding customer service by everyone, especially Erik and Felix. A full bumper to bumper inspection showed my 2021 Mercedes had a broken engine mount, with only 1400 miles left before the warranty expired. They saved me $$.

This place not only overcharges, but likes to make excuses of why things take time. The GM is unprofessional and very condescending when speaking, spoke to us like we were born yesterday. Service managers love to lie about how they go about their repairs one says they rotate cars, and the another says first come first serve. Might as well go to the dealership. Don t let the 5 stars fool you.

Was hearing a belt noise coming on when ac was engaged. Took it to Adam s on barker cypress. Brought in my car on a Saturday with appointment at 10:30 am. They didn t get back to me until they were about closing for the day. So my car was there for about 6 hours. Turns out my belt was really loose. They send me a video as well showing the belt loose while engine was revved. So they proceed to tell me I need a new belt tensioner and belt. Comes out to $900 or so they said. I told them I couldn t afford that. And then they said we do financing and can get you approved. I said umm nah I ll just go get my car. They said I really needed it fixed or it would break down on me soon. Anyway after bringing it home I did a little research and find out that my car doesn t even have a belt tensioner. I usually change my own oil, brakes, and anything that I can at home in my garage. Anyway, all it needed was for the belt to be tightened, which I also found out how to do easily on you tube for my vehicle. Which was by a bolt next to alternator. Fixed the loose belt and noise in 10 minutes. Thank God. But it just baffles me how they couldn t figure that out in 6 hours or if they knew that and just wanted my money for something my car didn t even have. Idk man, be careful out there. Try to inform yourselves about your car a little if you can so you don t get ripped. Not going back there.

Older single woman that knows very little about car servicing. I went there for the first time. Mike was very helpful - explained what was needed and what items they will just watched. Showed me the issues and provided in writing with the prices. No pressure to make the repairs immediately. Love this place.

On October 12, 2023, I brought my car to Adam's Automotive for the replacement of control arms. Subsequently, just the other day I experienced a loud sound coming from the front of my car, leading me to seek repairs at another shop. During their inspection, they discovered that the front left caliper was missing a caliper slide pin, causing the caliper to wedge against the rim. This issue has resulted in additional damage, including a flat spot on the front left tire. The manager at the other shop has expressed the belief that this problem may be directly linked to the control arms replacement performed at Adam's Automotive. The absence of the caliper slide pin and the consequential damage raise concerns about the quality and completeness of the work conducted on my vehicle at Adam's Automotive.I trust that Adam's Automotive takes pride in delivering quality service, and I believe we can resolve this matter amicably without resorting to legal action. Please respond to discuss a fair settlement. Failure to do so may leave me with no choice but to purse this matter in civil court.Adam's Automotive made a very good first impression. They have a modernized look and comfortable waiting area. However, I am disappointed with the discovery of the other shop as of recently.

They were very detailed in the diagnostics of the Check Engine light in our Honda. They showed me the problem was the Catalytic Converter and the difference between the one for a Honda is different than most others and that the way it was attached was thereby different as well. They finished when the said they would and sent a driver to my house to take me back to their facility. Not only was work done professionally that also cleaned up the inside. I HIGHLY recommend using ADAMS when needed.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I usually go to Mercedes and was very pleased that I decided to go to Adams. The service provider Felix was so patient and was willing to answer all of my questions. I tried to compare service providers overall had a great experience and glad I choose them, I was sent videos of proof of repairs and future repairs that may need to be done.Felix was amazing and did not make me feel ad though I was being pressured to have something more done.

Have so far used them twice for maintenance service issues. All staff interactions have been remarkably friendly and helpful. And being able to be dropped off at my house and picked up helps a tremendous amount.

I was having a major engine issue with my wife s Lexus, Grant at Adams arranged getting the vehicle picked up and to the shop and then worked with my extended warranty company to get the entire repair covered! Then I was invited to come check on the progress of the work and was SO impressed with how clean the facility is and how professionally the work was being done. You can tell these guys really care about what they do. My families cars won t be going anywhere else!

UPDATE: I got a call from the shop and they went above and beyond in making things right. Bumping from * to *** and will update again after I take another vehicle to them this week. This rating is based off my one experience thus far at Adams Automotive, detailed below. I will update this review with additional information if/when there is any update to give.I went to Adams strictly with the intent to get a state vehicle inspection to renew my registration. I had never been to Adams, but they were one of the very few places open on a Sunday and had a rating of 4.8 on Google. The location itself is very clean and comfortable when I arrived I was told there were a few folks ahead of me but they d be able to get to me soon. No problem, I took a seat and made use of the free wi-fi. After a short while, one of the employees came to the lobby and asked me to follow him to the bays because he wanted to go over a few things with me. En route, he explained that they always do a free checkup on vehicles when they come in for a state inspection. Despite hearing this, I was a little shocked to see my F150 up on a lift and all the tires removed. He did a very good job showing me the issues they found primarily that my rear brakes were in the red and that they recommended having my lug nuts replaced. I gave the go ahead for them to make the fixes (prices (incl. labor): new rear brake pads and rotors ~$740, replace old brake fluid ~$150, replace all 24 lug nuts ~$240). Car was to be ready by EOD and I would pick it up first thing the next morning. They gave me a ride back to my house via the courtesy shuttle. That afternoon I received a call from them that they didn t have the lug nuts, but that they would have them by 9am the next day and my vehicle would be ready by 9:30am the courtesy shuttle would pick me up in the morning. I was also told they tested the battery, and although it wasn t too bad, they recommended a new one. That too was approved (~$370 incl. labor). The next morning, 9:30am came and went. I called at 10:30am and was told that only some of the lug nuts had been delivered and that the rest were en route. Would have been nice to get a call from them prior to 9:30am, but not a huge deal. Car was ready at 11:45am and the shuttle picked me up from my house and took me to the shop. I checked out at the desk ($1,590 pretax) and took off. Sidenote, I noticed while writing this that there was an RO Fee applied of $95 with just a description of Shop supplies not exactly sure what supplies that was for. On the way home I stopped at a gas station and when I went to leave, my car would not start. All signs indicated it was the battery. Called the shop and they sent someone to jump me. When they arrived we popped the hood, and to my great surprise, there most definitely was NOT a new battery in my truck. I can t say with certainty, but it didn t even look to be my previous battery this one was very worn, and my previous battery hadn t exhibited any signs of issues prior to Adams taking control of my vehicle. I drove my truck back to the shop where they put in a new battery for real. Before leaving, I spoke to one of the head guys who was certainly apologetic. I expressed my concern that if this type of oversight was made, I m obviously worried that there are issues or oversights regarding the brake work I paid for as well. He said that was understandable but assured it was done correctly. I was told they were making a note on my account to give me two free oil changes (personally, I would have preferred a somewhat generous reimbursement). I let him know that originally, I had intended to bring in another one of our vehicles for a state inspection, which I anticipate will need some work done (it s an older truck), and that I might be willing to give them another chance if a discount would be given to any work needed on that vehicle. His response was that if I brought it in, they would see what they could do. I m undecided on whether I ll bring that other vehicle down, but if I do, I will be sure to update.

Adams is our first choice to take our cars to, always great service and honest good people. The shop is clean and if I do need to wait, I never mind sitting in there. If you are needing a good, honest mechanic, go to Adams.

My AC was blowing hot and I went in to get it fixed. They told me my Freon was low and not engaging the compressor and so they had to evacuate the system and run dye through to see if there was a leak and that it would cost $475. So I let them do that test and they came back and told me my compressor still wasn t engaging and so I needed a whole new compressor that was going to cost me $1800 on top of the $500 I already had to spend and this still could potentially not fix my issue. My stepdad is a master technician at Land Rover and told me no compressor should cost that much and to take my estimate and leave. The person helping me said he would give me a discount since he didn t fix my car. The only discount I got was a promo discount for spending over $350. When I declined services, the just kept showing me prices around the area and telling me how I wouldn t get it cheaper anywhere else. Then as I was leaving my hood wouldn t go down and I watched them slam my car hood until it closed, not actually figuring out why it wouldn t close in the first place. So I m out $450, my car isn t fixed, and they potentially damaged the hood of my car. 10/10 will never return.Service: A/C installation & repair
