A++++Quick turn around time, clear and fast communication. Had a total rebuild on my 230,000 mile Jeep XJ transmission. Shifts so much smoother now! (My reverse gear was worn out)I will continue to see them in the future for any transmission needs I have.

They "fixed" the problem back in November just for the lights to turn back on 2 times, and they just give me the run around and not want to look at my car after spending $1300. I wish I never took my car here. I will never believe these reviews.

Good pricing and quick turnaround time. Rebuilt my 2014 Ram 2500 68RFE. Shifting great very happy. Also, I have rock lights and had a wire running through my transmission crossmember connecting each side. They disconnected then reconnected my wiring so when I got it back everything still worked. Will recommend to anyone who needs transmission work.

What can I say. He really is a doctor. Meticulous with his inspection and incredibly informative. Walked in with a jerky transmission, and Mr Able, an absolute gentleman, resolved the issue in no time. There are others who had inspected the trans and recommended a full rebuild. Not him. Really is honest. And really does take an exclusive approach to your vehicle. From this point, any major repairs, if Able is ...able...I'm bringing my cars here. God bless them all.

I can't say enough about this crew. Needed a transmission installed in my vehicle. Took it to the "A Transmission Doctor" at the corner of Huffmeister and Ravensway Drive in Cypress, Texas on a Friday evening and dropped my car off. They are closed on the weekend and on the following Monday had my car finished and it runs better than ever. Quoted me a very fair price and on completion, charged me $20 LESS than the quote on my bill. I am usually leery about taking my vehicle into unknown mechanics, but they exceeded my expectations and went above and beyond. I give them a 5-star rating and my hat's off to Able and his team. Thanks guys!

We thought we needed transmission work on our Challenger, but it was just not going into gear properly because we had the do-nut spare on it. We had taken the car to the dealership, they didn't help at all. This guy is so honest, a rare find these days. Also was finished fast.

I went to another transmission shop nearby, I was quoted 4K for a new transmission. I came to here to the transmission doctor for a second opinion and he found the root cause, cost me less than a fraction of what I was about to pay somewhere else and I did NOT need a new transmission, these guys are honest hard working people, they re Definitely my go to shop going forward!

Phenomenal, I make a living with my truck and having it back in 2 days was money in the bank. Among the other things they noticed and took care of, thus far I would highly recommend getting your vehicle taken care of by these guys. Cost-effective and fast is unheard of.

One of his competitors told me over the phone that I needed a transmission overhaul at a cost of $2800 ?!? Over the phone ?!? so I started reading all the reviews and made the choice to use Transmission Doctor based on everyone else s opinion so I felt it was only fair to leave a review myself. In a short period of time, he showed me that it had nothing to do with the transmission , that I needed to repair some other things that I can repair myself, walked out of There was a huge smile and a new friend.! The best Transmission shop I have ever been to! The most honest! I went for a transmission and they said they would charge me 2,500 at another shop. I went to Transmission Doctor for a second opinion, and they solved my issues for on $35

It's rare these days to find an honest mechanic. Thank you, Alberto! We expected to spend up to 3500 to rebuild my transmission. He called me the next day to say "good news, no water in the fluid." 8 out of 10 shops would have ripped me off ENORMOUSLY; how would we have ever known? The shop area was organized and clean, the office was organized and clean. Eye contact and integrity; you know what I mean. No long, delayed, sleazy answer to a simple question. We're glad we found them. I'll recommend them to anyone looking for auto repairs.Service: Transmission

I came there with a transmission issue. After he checked it out and ran the report, we sat down and he CLEARLY explained what was probably going wrong with the engine. No transmission issue! He spent plenty of time answering all my questions. Very nice man!

Great place to take your vehicle in for transmission work, brakes, check up etc. John and his employees were amazing on my car, very honest and hard working men. They left my car in great shape, I was pleased with the transmission work they did, along with other things such as getting a new alternator, radiator, fixing my brakes and etc. I recommend it to anyone who has car problems. They explained everything thorough from pricing to how long it was going to take. This is my new workshop I bring my car too, they are amazing people and workers.

My experience with Transmission Doctor was a great one! First they gave me a ride to the house when i dropped of vehicle and they let me know the same day what the problem was. The repairs where done quickly and efficiently. They let me know everything ahead of time before they fixed it, sent me texts and pics of the issues. All said and done the Transmission Doctor saved me a lot of time and money, but more importantly I felt confident in doing business with a great company who holds integrity to a high standard. I just had my sons transmission redone at "A Transmission Dr." I was recommended to this shop from two different people who had good things to say about them. First I went in and visited John the owner who was very nice and was explained his warranty and explained that his crew has been with him for about 20 years which I liked . Knowing that a transmission job is not cheap I was most concerned about the integrity and stability of the contractor getting my work. The guys worked with me directly as they worked as they showed me the inside, burnt clutches etc. And made sure the cooling lines where clean and correct . I will go back in 500 miles for final inspection .wow that's never happened before. I feel confident with a 24 month warranty.. (better than most in the whole industry)Again I was very pleased and would recommend to my best friend or family .

Awesome work, better prices, very friendly staff, they fixed my transmission very quickly and it works great! Will def recommend to friends and family and will use them as long as I live in Houston. They are all very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things to me simply where I could understand as I have limited automotive knowledge. Afterwards they took time to check up on me and my truck. Great guys, thanks John and staff at Transmission Dr.

I would recommend A Transmission Doctor over any place in Houston. After taking my call, Alberto went to work to find out what he could do to fix my transmission and called me back with different estimates. He gave me the pros and cons of each choice and left it to me to decide how to proceed. I was extremely impressed with his honesty and speed of work. Once he received the transmission, he had it ready for pick up in a day. When the time comes, I will be taking my car back there for transmission flush.Service: Transmission

This worked out perfect, my Acura was broken and the dealer gave me a huge price. They are professional and courteous. My transmission shifts great and the very best parts is I saved thousands. John and his team were great and courteous, fast too.

Transmission issues can be scary. The shifter cable went out on our vehicle. Not only did they pick the vehicle up, but they turned it around in less than a day, at a very fair price. They were extremely professional every step of the way and I would highly recommend them.

Brought my 2012 F-150 into the shop because it was leaking oil. John and his team quickly diagnosed the issue (Rear main seal, oil pan gasket) and quoted me a price that beat all of the competitors. 24 hours later my truck is back on the road. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

"A Transmission Doctor" on Huffmeister knocked out my transmission rebuild in just a few days. I dropped it off on Monday. They called on Tuesday and discussed my options. A full rebuild was decided. They called Thursday afternoon and it was ready. They also installed a shift kit and did some other mods that will improve shifting performance. When I picked it up he took me back and showed me the worn parts that were replaced and explained the upgrades. They are very quick to diagnose transmission issues. Quality of work is much better than most places. I would say they are for sure experts at what they do. I would recommend family or friends.

I want to thank John, the owner and his 2 mechanics Benito and Alberto. These guys did a fantastic job on my cars. The job they did on my 2001 Honda Civic, made it better than new. Honest, experienced, auto specialists are hard to find. To say this is one would be an understatement. John and his crew have rebuilt two of our transmissions, one of which was a real challenge. John is a man of his word. Our cars are still running great after almost 3 years(and a lot of miles). A one word description would be INTEGRITY.

I have a hard time trusting mechanics. I was in need of someone who s trustworthy and understanding.My tahoe was in the dumps, leaking oil everywhere and completely lost 1st gear. I ve looked up on google; and found this place, I ve looked at reviews and mostly highly rated and I see why.John and his team is upmost honest with me, my Tahoe s transmission was completely ruined. So, if you want something done, do it right . They have torn down the transmission and notify me when they are getting to it and told me what s the problem(s)I ve listen and understood what needs to be done. Rebuilding only took them 2 days compared to other mechanics especially dealerships. And more affordable than I expected.I was able to get on the road in two days. And I m grateful that I ve discovered them. Now, they are my go to place to get things done the right way.Thank y all again!!!@5av493_tahoe
