Loved our family trip to the Rio FrioWe stayed in cabin 7. Away from it all.River at this cabin is down a bit, but we still enjoyed it. The swimming hole at the River Terrace location is stunning , crystal clear, and very fun. We would for sure stay here again if we make a return trip.Nearby activities: Do the bat cave tour! Super cool!

The cabins were just as they are in the pictures!! Not only was my stay an amazing & peaceful one but it felt like home! No one disturbs you and when taking out your trash they re very discreet which is really awesome! This place is perfect to disconnect from the city life and connect with your loved ones! I will most definitely be booking with Veronica again!! Veronica your cabins are beautiful! Thank you for being so helpful! We appreciate you & we will see you very soon!!Nearby activities: Garner state park is about 2 minutes away from the cabin which is convenient if you re looking for more of a social place to spend the day at.Food & drinks: Leakey is about 5 minutes away and they have the best coffee at Josh s! Totally recommend!!

Even though we moved to Georgia, we still drive the 18 hours it takes to get to this special spot! There is no place like it! We've been coming for the past 3 summers from Houston and when we moved, we just couldn't think of another place that we would rather be than on the Frio at the Frio River Cabins! Veronica and her amazing team make sure that the place is cozy, spotless and that you have what you need! The river is steps away, the Garner State Park Dance is a 5 min drive and Leaky is right up the road! It's a gem of a place! Book now before it fills up!

Third year coming to Frio river cabins!!! Amazing stay as always and friendly service from Veronica!!!! My family and I stayed at the River belle house with 4 + plus toddlers! Kid friendly walk to the river! Looking forward to booking again this summer!Rooms: Spacious room and bathrooms!!! Great stay!Walkability: Kid friendly, easy and clear walk to the river!

Our host, Veronica was completely accommodating, and very sweet. We could not have had a more perfect experience! The cabin was wonderful! It felt very private. We loved the bird feeders and hummingbird feeders on each cabin. Cute mini chickens are constantly walking around. Great barbecue grill. The picnic table was great for playing games under the pretty yard lights. The water was so blue, crystal clear and refreshing! There are deep areas and shallow areas. We had the time of our life! (Including Emma, our Boston Terrier) We will definitely be back! Thank you Veronica!Rooms: Very spacious and great air conditioner! Quaint with full kitchen and everything you need. Big TV and very clean.Nearby activities: Great swimming and floating on the property. So close to Garner State Park! Close by grocery, barbecue , restaurants and water supplies .Walkability: Just steps to the beautiful water. Parking just outside the cabin. The grounds are gorgeous.

Wonderful place right on the Frio river. Beautiful views, and nice prices on the accommodations that you get. This place is closer to Concan than it is to Leakey. My advice about Leakey is stay away. What was once a really cool little town to visit and have a burger at, has turned into nothing more than an overpriced tourist trap. And the locals are awful. On the other hand, Garner State Park is just right down the road and lost Maples State Park is just over the hills from Garner. Both are incredibly beautiful places to visit and hike. Garner is the better choice of the two for swimming. Have fun!

I cannot rave enough about The Frio River Cabins!! (We were in Terrace Cabin 2)! What an amazing experience! The cabins were perfect and quaint and literally just a few steps from the BEST spot on the Frio River!! Perfect for relaxing, swimming (both shallow and deep), could not ask for a better spot!!! Highly recommend and Veronica was amazing to work with! Thank you Frio River Cabins we will return annually now because it was seriously the best vacation!

We stayed at the Buffalo Creek house for 4 days and it was amazing. The house was beautiful and spacious. The kids loved the little swimming hole in the back of the house. The house had everything we could possibly need for our stay. Veronica was friendly and very helpful in showing us the best places to go to float the river. We will definitely be back.

Our family has stayed here twice and will definitely stay again. Very clean cabins. Campfire ring. Smoker/grill. Full kitchen. Several beds. Very family friendly with enforced quiet hours. Cliff to jump off of. The kids and adults both had so much fun. We all caught several fish, including a huge bass. It s right next to Garner State Park where we went hiking and tried out the rope swings. We also went to the Frio River Bat Flight, which is a must see, and just a short drive away! We went to Josh s down the road to get floats and transportation to float the River. Wouldn t stay anywhere else on the Frio!Rooms: Rooms were very cleanNearby activities: Near Garner State Park and Frio River Bat Flight

This house was absolutely perfect for our group. We had a group of 15 and there was more than enough room. The house is beautiful and in the best location, very close to river access. We had a last minute cancelation with another house and Frio River Cabins saved the day and was very accommodating getting us in at the last minute. Frio River Cabins is very responsive and helpful whenever you need them. Our stay was 10/10 and we will for sure be booking with Frio River Cabins again!!

This was our second time staying at this property, but first time at the River Belle house. As always, the property manager (Veronica) was helpful and kind. The house itself was very clean and had a well stocked kitchen. The house has just been renovated and it showed - bathrooms were new and so was the kitchen. Wifi was strong and you could stream on the TV. The walk. To the river was short and a great spot for littles. We had a great experience and will be back again.

My family of 4 stayed for 4 nights at the river terrace #4 and although we were exhausted by the last night, I wish we booked for longer. We were literally seconds from the river. Just a short walk down a trail to a very beautiful riverbank. Water level varies which was perfect for my 7 and 8 yr old. It was shallow enough for them to take off life jackets and search for rocks but deep enough for a jump off the cliff (i could not touch bottom. Very deep). Room was what you would expect from a small cabin. It had everything to keep us and kids content. Wifi was strong never any issues and had multiple devices connected. It was very close to the road but doesn't look like it cause of all the trees and plants. We loved it and will definitely return.

Frio River Cabins is a great place to take a family vacation. The cabins include all the things you need like kitchen stuff, multiple bathrooms, great showers and fast wifi. You can walk down to the river, have a campfire, watch the stars...just a great place overall. The staff are very nice/polite and keep the place running smoothly. We come just about every year and the new updates/upgrades make it even better...can't wait to come back again.

My family of four and I enjoyed our stay during our Winter break! Veronica was extremely welcoming and warm and accessible! The cabin had EVERYTHING from kitchen utensils, cups, plates, bowls and cooking pans! The cabin was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed large campfires under starry skies, walks to the river to drink our coffee and family games (provided)! Veronica was so sweet when she delivered sugar for our morning coffee! We appreciated every moment! I highly encourage you to make Frio River Cabins a place for your family vacation! We will continue to make our reservations here!

We love staying with Frio River Cabins! This summer was our third visit and we have enjoyed each different property we have booked. The customer service is always great and the locations are peaceful and conveniently close to fun activities. We will definitely be back again and are already looking forward to our next vaca in a little slice of Texas Hill Country heaven!

The photos don t do this place justice! We rented River Bell & Cabin No. 6, which were right next to each other, but each distanced enough to feel private! There are several quick, lovely trails that lead to a private area in the river where you can lounge and bathe in the shallow waters.All appliances and cooking supplies were top-notch, everything was spotless, and great host. Highly recommend.

Our hostess & owner Veronica has always been so welcoming and accommodating. Our two bedroom cabin was perfect for me, my husband and my mother. Really enjoyed watching the deer come & go throughout the day by the feeder out in front of the cabin. Our nights by the campfire under the starry skies were lovely.We look forward to visiting your Frio River cabins again next Spring!

My husband and I stayed in cabin 3 from Monday-Wednesday for the first part of our honeymoon. We loved how private the cabin was, even with neighboring cabins plenty of privacy, the property is stocked with almost everything you could want and the access to the river is perfect. We definitely plan on returning to stay. Management is kind and helpful! Tube and kayak rentals available, they provide a map and reliable contact information. If you re looking for a nice clean spacious place to stay this is it!

We decided to have a small get-a-way last min, we came across Frio River Cabins.... Let me tell you how amazing this place is! Veronica is also amazing as well and an AWESOME host!Cabin: Delightfully cute and beautiful. So much shaded areas with the trees all around, hummingbird and bird feeder are the greatest the next morning, we got to see all the little birds flying here and there, squirrels, and hummingbirds.River: The walking path to the river is very simple. I would say Frio River Cabins seems to have the deepest water in the area along the river we came across. So much Largemouth Bass, little catfishes and perch. We actually caught 2 Largemouth Bass (nearly over 17 inches!!!) I love love love the drop off where we were fishing at on top of the rock/cliff.We also enjoyed the tubing from the 1120 bridge down to the Frio River Cabin spot. You will come across some very shallow area with the tubes, but still worth it!Thank you so much Veronica, we will see you again for our next booking!We plan on coming back again at least once a year as a traditional thing since we love to travel locally and outdoor activities.

We rented the River Belle house for Mother's Day weekend. It very comfortably sleeps 12 & offers a beautiful getaway from the hustle & bustle of life. There is a fire pit and a spot to play horse shoes on the side of the house which our family loved . It's a bit of a walk to the river but it is quiet and beautiful with wild flowers growing along side. We loved our stay & look forward to planning our next trip out. The property does provide hand soap in the vanity areas and a dish drying rack with dish soap and a sponge so no need to pack that. They have sea salt & a pepper grinder along with olive oil & granulated garlic for your use in the kitchen. Highly recommend a stay out here to getaway.

This place is located in a beautiful part of Texas, in the Hill Country. We did not actually stay at the lodge due to them having a three night minimum during the peak season. All of the resorts and hotels in the area have this clause. The peak season is Memorial Day to Labor Day. We were actually arriving to use their services... Float the Frio, which they offer the tubes to float and a shuttle back to your vehicle. The tube rental is $15 per person and the shuttle is $15 per person. The last ride down the river leaves at 2:30pm sharp. So do not be late. This is the best price in the area, especially with a guaranteed shuttle. We went to Garner State Park, but they did not have a shuttle that day, a Saturday.
