We trailer camped over the Easter weekend and there were quite a few tent campers. RV/trailer campers are very familiar with camping etiquette, whereas tent campers behave as though they own the campground. We have never had to complain about another camper, but this trip we made a couple complaints about tent campers blasting their music in early morning and at night. We depended on staff to take care of the problem, but they did not. As a result, we spent more time inside our camper, instead of enjoying the nice weather, to avoid the loud music. The campground was very nice, and the staff was kind, but ensuring that ALL campers enjoy their experience should be the #1 priority of staff and it was not.

Amazing, stay with the family, many memories made that will last a lifetime. Perfectly seated on the Frio with access to a great fishing hole and tube shoots as well as a small waterfall. Abundant nature surrounds this perfect campsite for families. Many amenities, Including Gaga ball, dog park, tetherball, Trail, hiking, and volleyball. Will definitely recommend and stay again, if given the opportunity.

Took my Neice and nephew camping for the first time to camp Riverview. RF12 was our campsite. Highly recommend They loved it. Our campsite was beautiful. Our whole family / Friends really enjoyed our stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus side they have a laundry room which came in great bc it rained on us. So we had some where to wash and dry our clothes. We also enjoyed the golf cart. The kids really loved to go for a ride down the trail. We look forward coming back in the summer of 2024.

This was our first visit to Camp Riverview after seeing very positive reviews on Facebook. We loved the campground! Nice spot on the river, very peaceful (there during the winter...lol), nice staff that I spoke with on the phone and in the store, great location. Had others with us that use the cabins and they seemed roomy and clean. We will be back!!

Is this place a perfect 5 star place, no, but 4.5 wasn't an option. My extended family and I have been going there for the past 9 summers, we just got home yesterday after staying there a week. This is a campsite, not a river resort. We love the space between sites, the river access, and the new express check-in was so nice. We also love how close it is to Garner. We spend our days in the river, evening cooking together at our site, and nights at Garner at the dance. Even with the lower water levels over the past few years, we always find a place for the kids to play and the adults to enjoy the cool water and sunshine. I personally haven't been in the bathouse, but my husband and boys have no issues with it. We are a quiet group, so we haven't dealt with any issues over noise or had any conflicts with staff.Nearby activities: Garner State ParkRio Float (Ice Cream)Concan PiesJoe Jimmy's

The facilities are nice. You need to walk to water. Several of us camped together and allExperienced poor service. The office attendants were confused and very rude. The gate attendant was hateful and rude. We had registered online and she jumped down our throats and was barking out orders. We go to the office and they are confused. We are fine upstanding citizens who were attempting to have a nice vacation getaway. We don t need to be treated in a nasty manner. The evening and Sunday attendants were pleasant and helpful.

We and a few other friends stayed for 4 days. Park was clean. Lots of workers everywhere. There were a few nice places to sit in the water with cold adult beverages. Pretty nice place but they are real strict with the 10:30 pm curfew. They will park their golf carts by your spot and make sure you are not loud or playing music. No other real issues or complaints.

Camp Riverview is the BEST!! We just attended our Annual Family Frio Trip! My family has been attending this campground for over 50 years.. i myself have been coming for the last 25 years so we ve seen it evolve into a beautiful place So thankful that this is a family oriented spot with some of the best swimming holes on the frio! We absolutely LOVE what they have done with the cabins!! They also added a new playground this year and a whole new bath house (which is very nice). With the water being so low, everyone was still at the swimming holes having a blast!! No fighting, or derogatory music etc.. just good ol family time! Thanks for another great trip y all! See y all next year!

This was our first experience at this camp and it was awesome. We stayed in A Pop up camper towards the end of the camp #7. It was a nice shaded, quiet area, not a far walk from the water. We loved that we could rent a go-cart to get around and the on site store was very helpful. There was plenty of bathrooms including one new bathhouse that was since. They do have Wi-Fi but it s non existent the further you get from the store. I didn t know you had to rent a fire pit or we would have ahead and time and paid before for a cart. We were only Able to get a cart on the 3rd day since we didn t know. But now that we do we will plan better accordingly. I definitely recommend wearing a hard bottom water shoe. The rocks HURT if it s a soft sole. The water was great, it had plenty of shallow spots for toddlers and a deep swimming hole near the waterfall shelf. It can get pretty full there but it s not bad. We set up early and left our stuff there all day. No ever ever messed with it. We loved all the help readily available and the gentleman riding around on the cart throughout the day. They keep things in good order and control. We appreciated not having a big rowdy crowd around my 3 year old. It s a good place for family. We will be returning!Safety: Workers driving around doing perimeter checksWalkability: Close to the water -short walkFood & drinks: Food-Trailer on siteNoteworthy details: Clean restrooms, store site, go carts

Stayed for 5 days. We had a family members that had stayed here for many years who own an RV who wanted to come into the campground for 15 minutes. See our camper and decide if they want to book next year. We had asked the attendant if we could get a guest pass. He said yes. No problem. Went to the office and they wanted $25 for the family to enter and leave 15 minutes later. Ridiculous!!!! This campground isn t special and you can t see the river. Gravel roads and small tiny bathhouse that is somewhat clean. Don t stay here! So many other places to stay visiting concan and the Frio River that are friendly and accommodating.

Owner was racist. Did not say it directly at first. Then called the cops on me. Discrimination against a disabled veteran. Did not allow my service dog to stay because of her breed. Regardless of obedience training. Terrible humans. They do not like brown people decent to say the least.Safety: Not safe. They thought I was ignorant to the law and tried to have me removed by the sheriff.

I recently visited for the first time. I had an amazing stay. The cabin was beautiful. The beds were old but I understand that management is working to get new beds into the cabins. Overall I had an awesome time. The river access was convenient. The river is low but from the other spots I visited, Camp Riverview had a good amount of water and there was still a small amount of flow. It was perfect for my two year old who enjoyed sitting in the shallow water and relaxing. All the staff were very nice and helpful. The grounds were very clean. I cannot wait to go back next summer.

This has been my favorite go to since i was a child !!it had been over 16 years since i been back & i have to say i was disappointed in the fact that while everyone was listening to music they would play it loud and sing and have fun ( country music) but once i put my spanish music staff came up to us that their had been to many complaints and we had to turn it downMIND YOU THE OWNER AND HER HUSBAND WERE IN THE AREA PICKING UP TRASH LOOKING OVER TO OUR AREA !!(just being nosey watching us) WE WERE JUST HAVING FUN LIKE EVERYONE ELSE LISTENING TO COUNTRY! They also advertised free wifi when i asked why it didnt work it was because its only applicable to one device !! Also, as we were riding around showing our kids the memories of the spots we came to as kids we caught a staff member WHO also lives there watching us with binoculars !! wow what a shame !TOILETS KEPT GETTING CLOGGED !THEY ARE RACIST & DONT LIKE BROWN PEOPLE

10/10 would recommend. This is one of the best campgrounds we have ever been to. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The nicest people EVER. The little camp store has so many helpful items and souvenirs. The AMAZING lady in the store was so nice to my husband and I. She found out we didn't have heat in our camper and was very cold the night before. She brought us her own personal space heater to keep us warm. Absolutely an amazing experience.

My friends and I loved this spot! A great area right next to the river and the staff was very nice! We stayed in a tent on one of the campgrounds with electric accessibility, bbq pit, and a flat area for a tent set up. A nice, quiet, and peaceful spot for friends or family. Can t wait to come back to this spot, would definitely recommend!Nearby activities: Hiked up some of the tall hillsWalkability: Able to walk to different areas on the frio river. Food trucks in one of the sections, ice cream shops were goodNoteworthy details: Sleeping under the stars and trees with birds chirping in the morningPlayground: Kid-friendly / dog-friendlyRestrooms: Very clean and accessibleDog-friendliness: Dog playground and pitPicnic area: Picnic tables and underground fire pits available

We stayed here with a group of friends. We had about 20 guests who stayed in cabins and rv spots. Everything was great. The park is in good working order with new upgrades underway. The larger rv spots have gravel base on an almost totally level surface. No power or water issues. The staff was the best part. Everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful.

If you are looking for a family friendly campground with beautiful river access, this is your place! We look forward to our Camp Riverview trip every year. Yes, there are rules but they are nothing out of the ordinary. We have never had any issues with the campground or staff. Our kids loved the extra activities this Summer! Camp Riverview at the Frio is our families favorite little slice of Heaven and we can't wait to come back next year!

Went here last year, this year stay out at Garner camp sites and the experience was completely different. My doggos are big swimmers, Riverview has plenty of campsites near the river with decently shallow water, doggos loved that.Had a isolated campsite at Garner doggos hated it, too much random noises guess they couldn't pinpoint sounds and they were uneasy and couldn't sleep, did not have that problem at Riverview guess if you have protective dogs, this is the perfect spot.

Great campground, low water due to no rain, but found a couple of places to cool off and luckily had a good 30 minute rain shower when we arrived. Staff very friendly. Only negative is the river rock pad sites and walking trails/areas as they are very difficult to walk on in flip flops so bring tennis shoes. My husband fell the first night as it is very uneven.

Took a small family vacation the weekend after labor day and had the absolute best time. Camp ground was quiet, relaxing and very clean. We stayed in Haleys hideout and it was perfect for our family of 3. We had never stayed at camp riverview before but we will absolutely be returning. Checking in and checking out was extremely easy. River was easily accessible and perfect conditions for our 2yr old. Can't wait to be back! Thank you camp riverview.

My family and our friends recently stayed here for two nights (we camped in tents despite the very cold weather!). I wanted to leave a positive review based on our great experience here. From start to finish the check in/check out was seamless. The staff were all welcoming and friendly and we really appreciated how the workers would stop by from time to time to check on us and to ask if we needed anything (we purchased A LOT of wood that weekend). The campsite was clean and spacious and the bathrooms/showers were clean and functioning. And while we did not utilize the cabins this trip, we had a look inside one and they seemed very clean and updated inside. The camping area had a small playground for kids which was also important to us. The main office has a small store and carries items people may have forgotten for their trip. Obviously geared to the summer crowd who use the Frio River and I am sure the atmosphere would be very different during summer. Still, we had a great time and appreciated how clean/safe/professional everything was. We highly recommend Camp Riverview and we will definitely be back!

Just camped here for 4 days with my husband and it was a really good experience! Campsites were pretty rocky but besides that the place was beautiful. They have all kinds of stuff for you to do, ATVs and golf carts to rent during your stay. I was nervous reading some of the negative reviews but as long as you be respectful and follow their campground rules you shouldn't have any problem! All of the staff was pretty friendly, they just have a job to do and a campground to keep FAMILY FRIENDLY. Bathrooms could have used a little better cleaned up but overall it was a great experience!

Camp Riverview was a nice alternative to Garner State Park fairly small in relation, borders a smaller, more intimate part of the Frio River, a few tree-covered longer full hookup sites were excellent and low-grade WiFi. The ONLY part of our entire experience that was unsatisfying was the cost in comparison to ANY other campgrounds. It was more expensive than ANY we ve been to even the one in Galveston, Texas, which was right at the dye of a nice part of the beach during the height of the vacation season. Other than this, it was a very friendly and nice choice.
