Very dicrimitive to our age, no service what so ever, rude staff and we signed a waver saying not to be loud after 10 o'clock, but they had activities running past 12 am.Was looking for a peaceful retreat and didn't receive it. The pool and hot tub where locked and closed to guests staying because they had activities going on the particular weekend we stayed. All and all will not return. Its ran buy a conglomerate of homeowners that just want the tax wright off and say its a rental. When its really a summer home for millionaires.

I visited as part of a large group for a week. I highly recommend this place. While the cabins feel like a rustic getaway/escape, modern conveniences are available should you desire or need them. The retreat center offers a variety of activities to engage any size group or family size.Walkability: If you want to walk, plenty of options are available. Most cabins are within easy distances to available facilities like the restaurant and pool/hot tub area.

Went 9/8/23 for a reunion. We were blown away at the care the staff takes to make everything perfect. The food was great, the grounds are well kept. Everything functioned at it should. The cabins were impeccable. Bike trails are clean of debris. Pool was perfect temp. Everyone we encountered was polite professional and courteous. We felt like the king of the hill. I can not say enough. From the bottom of my heart, Thank You Wyatt & crew!-Semper Fi-

Hands down a great place for getting away for the weekend with the family or just taking a romantic weekend with the wife. Place has plenty to do and plenty to see. most cabins are right on the water and can fish right from your cabin. Also the restaurant when we went was great. Had the breakfast and Ribeyes while there for room service and was haply with both to say the least. Been a handful of times an unfortunately haven't been this year but dying to get back..I recommend it to everyone I know..best part is it's an hour or so drive from Beaumont and is amazing. So oad the family up and head there you won't be disappointed, I promise

Stayed in the Jane Long cabin 5th to the 8th.Awesome experience, beautiful scenery. The service was great. Kids had a blast. The lakes are full of life..lolGood fishing, seen lots of gators, and raccoons. Lots of birds. The gators don't bother you while canoeing. Overall I would highly recommend. This was a great experience. We will be back!

We were there on August 4th-6th 2023 for a girls trip we stayed at 2nd Wind Cabin ..Where do I start? Upon arrival at our weekend spot we noticed cob webs alll over the house on the outside! Before we could even sit down we had to clean up outside...once we entered inside it was great BUT very very dusty, I could write my name on blind shades...This house need a good power wash and inside cleaning! We made the best of our weekend but disappointed at the same time..Dont believe us we have photos!

My husband surprised me with a trip to here. When I found out what he paid I was shocked. They require a 2 night minimum. He got a small cabin that had no kitchen and not even a bbq pit to cook. For what he paid we could have gotten a Airbnb with multiple rooms, bathrooms and a full kitchen. There was next to nothing to do there except the pool. It was beautiful out there but it s the only plus side to the entire place. It was also dead out there.I wouldn t be surprised if this place ends up shutting down due to the prices alone

Our family booked a month in advance and when we arrived the AC was broken. They sent 2 window units that lowered temp from 80 to 78. We were there 3 nights and had to rise to the occasion as it was the first time we got together on vacation in years. Imagine that. Rooms very dusty and beds need an overhaul. While I don t want to write this-forced to due to conditions. We paid way too much for the services rendered. The restaurant on site closed for lunch and no one said anything when we checked in. So what we didn t want to do- we had to- drive 20 mins to eat. Businesses all need standards and this place needs some TLC. I do not recommend it to anyone.

Our favorite weekend getaway! We love the pool and hot tub, fishing in the lake, and relaxing on the porch swing enjoying the quiet. The gators are fun to watch too.

Disappointed, cabin looked like it was just opened from a long storage. Felt like the only thing that was cleaned were the sheets. Old and new cobwebs were everywhere. Knocked down a bunch ourselves. For what we paid, there just didn't seem to be any value. The disconnect and the area was great. Nice and quite. Regardless we left a day early.Edit: Francesca Alvarez

Beautiful, but...We vacationed there last week with 2 other couples. We stayed at the Lake House and had a wonderful time! The property is beautiful and there's many things to do! One of the things to do listed on their website is hiking. Well, on Saturday morning, one of the couples, my husband and I went for a hike. The fellas noticed it first but a truck kept following us. It passed by us like 3 or 4 times. The assumption was that it was one of the residents checking to see where we were going. This assumption was made because out of all the guests visiting, we were the only African Americans (6). Maybe they weren't used to seeing "us" there? I think the company could do better with attracting more diversity. The vehicle even came to the pool where we were and turned around once they saw we were there. There was even a guy that came out of his house during our hike (upon seeing us in his kitchen window), and started walking behind us for like 2 minutes then he turned around and went back home. Up until that point, I felt safe and was having a good time but that made us all feel uncomfortable. My husband and I are runners but we didn't feel comfortable going for a morning run the next day. I asked the receptionist was there security in hopes that the vehicle was a patrol vehicle but she said security only drives a golf cart and makes passes at night and for us to call them if they follow us again. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our stay with our friends in the beautiful Lake House!!

We have been coming to Artesian Lakes for 20 years but missed a few with Covid - what happened? Every place was worn out, dirty and scarcely appointed. The drawers were nailed shut and u were left with 1 drawer containing a couple old grungy dishes. No pots or pans for the stove/oven. No firewood. One lonely old horse for horseback riding no brunch or breakfast at the restaurant- it s a shame. I gave 2 stars because the surroundings are beautiful. What a waste to let such a beautiful piece of property become a dump.

We stayed 12/30/2022 through 01/01/2023 and left on Monday 01/02/2023. The Restaurant was closed the entire time, no canoes, no kayaks, no horseback riding. No one in the hospitality office the entire time. If you had a security problem you could go to the hospitality building and an outside phone would automatically call security. The last day there one of the homeowners (?) cruised the lakes on a pontoon boat. I really over rated this place by giving it two stars.

Such a amazing place. So clean and convenient everything you need is here. We stayed in the cabin "Angelina" comfy beds. Excellent fishing right off the front porch. We rented a canoe for 24hrs. It was affordable I believe $30. That was a lot of fun. It was uncrowded for a August weekend. Felt like a hide away gem! Lots of neat wildlife... We saw Allegators, opossums, squirrels, armadillos, frogs, several different types of fish, deer & different types turtles. The saltwater swimming pool is very nice. The swimming lake was my favorite. The kids really enjoyed the slides & swimming with little fish. Snack bar & everything you need on location. Except worms for fishing... But they had other bait available. We will definitely be back.

Rented the JL cabin across Christmas break. if you like to walk on the trails you must know that this place is not for you and it's dangerous. I like to take long walks on main roads and during last 2 days I have been attacked twice by dogs without a leash that came out from houses. On Christmas' morning 3 big size dogs attacked me and my wife while walking on Friar Tuck while the day before we were attacked while walking on Artesian Ave. Dogs are kept unleashed here and owners do not monitor their pets. Definitely it would be even more dangerous for a child in that situation.

We had a great, peaceful weekend away from the business of our lives. The log cabin was beautifully equipped and wonderfully secluded. The clear water, tree surrounded lake, immediately beneath our porch was so relaxing. The flower garden was beautiful. We enjoyed watching the gators and turtles. All the meals were excellent and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. Thank you for a great escape.

I went here last year for a couples trip and we really enjoyed feeding the alligators, kayaking, walking the trail, sliding down into the lake and the swimming pool. We saw deer serval days and our view was beautiful! They have drinks and snacks in the front office for purchase.Con s: Dusting is needed after every guest. We laid down in the bed and looked up and there were dust and really bad spiderwebs everywhere. No cellphone service but you re not supposed to use them there unless you take a trip to the office. Horseback riding and several other things were no longer an option.

I ve been a guest probably a dozen times over the past two decades. My experiences have always been good until now.My fianc and I rented one of the romance cabins because of the jacuzzi tub. Once we were ready to use it, we were extremely disappointed to learn there wasn t enough hot water to fill it. Too late to call maintenance, the romance was gone. Management refused to offer any compensation, discount, or credit and did not even return my call.

Beautiful and serene! The developers are doing a great job maintaining this property. All the roads and trails were well-maintained, there are some lots and homes for sale, but many residents and weekend vacationers enjoying the property. Everyone was super friendly and golf carts are the main mode of transportation around the property. Pool and swimming area was neat clean and well-maintained, the hot tub Grotto was fabulous. Didn't get to eat at the restaurant because we stayed at a friend's cabin and cooked our own food, but definitely want to try that next time. Got to see Raphael the giant alligator snapping turtle, he must be a hundred and fifty years old or more! Of course the horses and ducks were fun...We had a wonderful girls weekend retreat and will definitely be back. I want to bring the family out.

I have been to the Retreat at Artesian Lakes many times over the years and recently spent the long Memorial Day weekend in the Reset private home with some friends. This destination is the perfect place to relax and refresh. On top of it all, it s only a 45 minute drive away from us. I have always recommended The Retreat at Artesian Lakes in the past and will continue to do so moving forward.

I don't think I could run out of positive things to say about this trip. The cabin was really pretty, the food was excellent, so much wildlife to look at, wonderful walking trails and sites to see. One of the very best experiences I've ever had on vacation. It was beautiful and relaxing. I can't wait to go back and take my two boys.

Went in February to see what it would be like during non peak times. Very slow, quiet, and relaxing. Felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Highly recommend adults with no kids looking for relaxation to go during off season. I however had a 5 year old with me that wanted to swim but it was too cold and wanted to play with other kids but there were none. Me and the wife loved it but my child would have had way more fun in the busy summertime. Hiking in the 60 degree temps felt great and the restaurant was always empty with plenty of tables. The chilly nights made the roasting s mores around the fire pit and sleeping next to our fireplace in the cabin very cozy. Overall it was great and we all had a great time. I just think most kids would have even more fun in the summertime.

We ignored the reviews. Was not a quiet piece place like we planed. The staff was rude , pool was closed restaurant was closed we paid for the nice lake house and treated like second because of our age. Good thing we will not go back because of the home owners and the staff was not acceptable.None of the amenities are provided as they use to be, Wild life was. Nice and peaceful compared to the peeping Tom neabors and security.Receptionist was latargic waiting for her next cigarette I could smell it on her when we checked in if i I could give less stars I would.

We loved our stay at Artesian Lakes! Our cabin was perfect. From our deck we enjoyed seeing all kinds of wildlife including alligators, giant bull frogs and raccoons. We had a blast fishing at our cabin and swimming at the pool and swim lake! If you are there on a Saturday, make sure to get breakfast at the Hilltop Restaurant. It was AMAZING! The staff and guests were all friendly. It was a nice, relaxing family getaway and we can't wait to go back!

It's beautiful. Probably wouldn't stay in the dead heat of summer, their AC units had problems handling May heat. Great place for fishing but bring your off spray. Take a broom, spider webs form over night. The views and serenity are restorative.
