Chris is an awesome mechanic and person. On vacation, truck quit in Childress Tx. He came to us, help get truck to his shop, wasn't able to the part we needed that evening, however part arrived next morning. We were on the road by 10 am. Cost was very reasonably priced. Honest and trustworthy

The mechanic there (Chris) was really helpful. My family and I broke down and we crippled our truck into his shop and told him our problem. He was more than happy to help us out. He jumped right in and got to it. If anyone that need work on their car in town or out of town he would be the place to go. I highly recommend his work.

Chris helped me get back on the road while traveling from Texas back to Colorado. My car wouldn t start and he helped me get my car to his shop where he was able to trouble shoot and repair my car. I arrived Childress one evening after dark from Denver after experiencing terrible weather and road construction. I didn t realize it until other cars started flashing their lights at me, but both my headlights were out.The next day I luckily found Chris. He immediately checked the fuses and relays and determined that both headlamps were burned out. He quickly replaced the bulbs and I was on my way.He was quick, fair and efficient. Thank you, Chris, for all your help.

My alternator gave out and God permitted me to get to Childress. Great food (Top Notch BBQ), great motel (Super 8), great mechanic (Chris at C&L replaced my alternator). Wonderful people! We broke down towing our travel trailer, a few miles outside of Childress. Chris was absolutely amazing, both on a professional and personal level. He helped us quickly diagnose the engine problems and even though we decided not to repair the truck still helped us, as we were very much stranded. We ended up speaking to a number of local folks who also had high praises for Chris. I can't say enough good about this business!!Service: Engine repair

Was having tire issues while driving through town on a long road trip. Finally found the tires we needed at Walmart, but had some cross threaded studs that Walmart is not authorized to fix. Walmart employees got me in contact with Chris at C&L Auto. Chris bent over backwards to help us. He not only replaced the studs, he also hauled the wheels to Walmart so they could mount and balance them while he and his employee worked on the studs. We had three small dogs with us and he kindly offered his office to keep them cool while the work was completed. Both the team at Walmart and C&L Auto took excellent care of us and made a tough situation as pleasant as possible. Everyone s kindness and hard work were so appreciated. Would highly recommend.

Our car was overheating when we were moving from Louisiana to Lake Tahoe. Chris did a great job and got us back on the road quickly.

Chris has been amazing with his knowledge and hospitality. Our road trip to Forth Worth was interrupted by a faulty engine and Chris saved the day and made it possible for us to get on the road as fast as possible. I would recommend this shop to anyone that needs some honest and good vehicle repairs.

We were stuck in Childress, TX ( still 9 hours from home) with a busted transmission on a Sunday. Called C&L and he came right to see me. He went above and beyond over the New Year's holiday to get a replacement transmission and get us back on the road at a very fair price. The replacement transmission was smooth as silk the whole way home. Thanks C&L.

I was traveling through and having problems with my front drive tire. I called and the mechanic told me to come right over. It was a Saturday. He looked at my truck and just as he suspected the wheel hub assembly needed to be replaced. Frightening to me! If I had not stopped to have it looked at the entire front wheel could have come off! I shudder to think. He went to work right away and had me ready to go in about an hour! The price was very reasonable. I actually believe God had His hand in getting me to Mr Cowan. He may very well have saved my life!

I broke down just as I hit Childress in my van. I lost the rear end and was stuck in a town that I knew nothing about. A lady at the hotel told me to call C&L Auto and I am very thankful. He went out of his way to find a used rear end in a neighboring town, worked all night to get it going and even gave me a ride to and from his shop. He could easily have gouged me on price, I didn't have a lot of options and I had to be somewhere in a few days. He gave me a very fair price, and went above and beyond.

Wonderful guy, wonderful mechanic! Rescued me and my horse, hauled trailer and horse to the fairgrounds, made sure I was set at the local hotel and fixed my water pump by 11 the next day! Chris and Laura are the best- thank you both!

Was moving my family to Colorado and our car had started overheating and broke down. We pulled in there and told him our situation and he dropped what he was doing to help us out and get us on the road. Very professional and I HIGHLY recommend going here for any issues you have.

My car battery died in me while driving from Dallas to Littleton, CO. Used google maps to find C&L auto repair. Chris was so helpful and quick at installing a new battery. Thanks Chris!

Good guy. Assessed my brake issue, explained what was going on and that it did not affect safety, and told me that it wasn't worth the money to pull everything apart just to put it all back together without altering anything. No charge for the helpful advice.

Saved our lives, an was ABSOLUTELY amazing to do everything he could to get it done no matter what! Truly hard to find a legit straightforward mechanic! Never trust a mechanic without vaseline! Lol
