2004 F250 had a transmission leak and a weird sound coming from under the hood. Ben dropped the trans and replaced an old seal and replaced the idle air control. The truck is back in action, running great and no more leaks or annoying sound. Thanks Ben!!

Amazing repair shop. Real pride in their work- something you don t see very much anymore. I would take my car there again and recommend to anyone who needs an excellent , trustworthy repair shop! And as a bonus I felt their pricing was very fair.I was having awful vibrations and lurching in my Jeep Wrangler. I took i to two different shops and the both told me it was ball joints and / or tie rods , one shop even said the entire front end needed to be rebuilt.Fortunately neither shop could fit me in right away. I called Ben because of the great reviews he has online. Wow! Was I impressed I told Ben over the phone what the shops had said and what I was experiencing.. he said that didn t sound right and I could bring it in he would check it out. He and one of his mechanics looked at it for over and hour and determined NOTHING WRONG with the front end. Ben calledMeAfter the finished checking it out and spent 30 minutes explaining what the did and did not find and what my options were for repairs. Ultimately the problem was the CV joints on the drive shafts.Long story short Jeep is running great now - no more vibration or lurching, and he did it cost meHalf of what the other shops were going to charge to do the wrong things!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Could not be more happy with our service. We needed a complete top end rebuild on our Suburban and Ben did a fantastic job. Most honest mechanic we have ever worked with. From keeping us in the loop during the diagnostic stage, trying to save us money where he could instead of up selling things we didn t need, and using the best parts, I just can t say enough. Highly recommend! We were in no rush and asked for him to please take his time as we wanted everything done right, and it was worth the wait.

Took in my 2009 Nissan Murano for a power steering flush. Ben was very communicative and polite. He is straight forward, which is appreciated. Pricing is fair. Work was completed in a timely manner. Unfortunately, a leak in the power steering line was not detected. Lost all power steering fluid. This was a day after picking up my vehicle. Called Ben to communicate the issue. He was willing to look at it, but didn't sound to confident. Ended up taking my vehicle to the dealership. My situation may have been a one off, but will not be returning.Service: Steering & suspension repair

The communication here is beyond professional, nothing like I ve encountered at a Big dealership. I m awaiting a vehicle repair and so far it s been a great experience. I ve probably passed 75 auto shops to have our truck serviced here because of the reviews.Initially I was apprehensive but there is just no hype here. Nothing but hard work, honesty, and transparency. They build trust within the community here, most places do the opposite.

Ben replaced my brake pads and rear rotors on my Chevy Tahoe, the cost of repairs was competitive with other repair shops and actually more cost effective than others. Quality, honesty and care. I have taken my truck to Ben to get a transmission replacement, later an engine replacement an AC Compressor, and an alternator. Ben s honesty, top notch quality and great customer service is what I come here for. I live 45 minutes away and I pass countless mechanic shops to get to his. He doesn t upsell unless it s needed, if you don t want it he won t do it. He will tell you why you need something or why you don t. Which is rare.I heard he went over EVERY bolt and hose clamp FOUR TIMES to make sure he got it all right and torqued to spec. He does it by the book every time. If you re looking for THE BEST mechanic, reasonable price, 100% honesty, one that ll care for your vehicle like it s his own, Ben is the guy. You won t regret it.Bad mechanics can do it, but you ll have to do it again.Good mechanics will probably do it.Great mechanics do it right the first time.Ben s great. Absolutely nothing bad or negative to say. 10/10 would recommend.

I live in AZ and my daughter needed an honest and competent mechanic to diagnose and repair her car. I happened across Ben s after Googling best mechanic in Bulverde and am so thankful Ben s was at the top of the list. He proved to me exactly why when he fairly and expertly fixed her car and not only stood by his original estimate, the total was less when he found that one part didn t need replaced. Straight up, 100% honest and expert mechanic who I would recommend time and time again. Thank you for taking care of my daughter and if you ever move to AZ, you have a customer! I have been using Ben's Automotive for about two years now for all my vehicles. Ben is the complete opposite of all those experiences you have had when taking your vehicle to get fixed. No need to be apprehensive when calling Ben just look at all the 5 star reviews. He is Honest, Reliable, Affordable, & yes I did just say HONEST. If you are looking for a life long mechanic when needed to repair your engine, brakes, air conditioning, vehicle maintenance, electrical to everything in between then call Ben. His reputation & former clients word of mouth is how I got to know Ben, & that is probably the reason he doesn't need to advertise much. Trust me when I tell you Ben will take care of your vehicle like it is his own. Ben, I wish you many years of success in our Hill Country Community.
