Family owned business that goes above and beyond to help their customers. Even to the point of suggestions on referrals to a mechanic to fix things they don t work on. LOVED our experience and couldn t ask for a better investment on changing our transmission. Even replaced our battery while at it and reasonable pricing. Super appreciate people like this!

Just got my F150 back today, this is the best shop you can take your auto to in the metroplex. Ford Dealership told me it would take 3 weeks just to diagnose it, brought it here and Dustin had it diagnosed in 4 hours! He worked with my extended warranty company and had it completed in less than 2 weeks. Dustin gave me text updates everyday, so i never had to wonder what was going on, fantastic customer service.I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR ANYTHING!Thank you Dustin

I went to the shop today and I was greeted with a beautiful warmth and concern by Shelia. Even though, there was only 1 mechanic on duty he told our time for little ole me. He diagnosed by car. The illness of my car was beyond my repair budget and Shelia still showed empathy toward by car illness . I would highly recommend the services of North Texas Transmission the customer service is old school and real . Thank you Sheila

Very friendly. Listens to the customer. Prompt and charged me nothing for the diagnostics because the transmission was under warranty even though the warranty was from elsewhere. I'll be recommending them to anyone with transmission issues. I myself will go back in a heartbeat.

This is the shop for your CVT repairs. One of the few shops I found that would take on my Nissan Rogue. They are honest and straight forward with zero pressure or up sales. They are confident in their work and deliver on time with no surprises. My got to shop for any future transmission, especially CVT needs!!

100%! I have known the owner, Richard Maddux for 43 years. I just took my wife s H3 up to his shop with a slipping transmission. After several test rides he determined that I was very low on transmission fluid. He quickly saw that my radiator was brand new and discovered they forgot to refill the transmission after the fluids drained out from the transmission lines being unhooked from the radiator during replacement. So instead of a complete transmission replacement, it wound up bring 2.5 quarts of transmission fluid. I am convinced that alot of shops would have hit me for a new transmission. Usually, a trip to the transmission shop is about as much fun as a root canal! Dustin and Sheila made the process seamless and enjoyable. Our car was originally sent to a shop for a sunroof repair. While there, a leak in our PTU was noted and I was told that a transmission expert needed to assess it. North Texas Trans was HIGHLY recommended by the mechanic. NTT agreed to pick up my vehicle from the first shop and contacted me once the situation was assessed and the warranty company was on board. I had my car back in 2 days and it works perfect. Dustin called and kept me updated during the process. If you need transmission work, I recommend these folks. I will definitely be back should I need trans work in the future.Service: Transmission

Seriously, the most painless repair shop that I have ever had to deal with.Very much a pleasure working with Dustin and his team. They were very efficient with taking care of my Altima's transmission replacement. 3 day turn around was fantastic.

Ill put 5 stars because Dustin seems great and knowledgeable. But I did have an issue. I called to inquire about installing a used transmission I had purchased myself, and the woman who answered the phone stated that they don't install customer owned gear, and then said" Bye" immediately after, and hung up on me. I get it. I run my own business the same way (no customer supplied gear), but Id rather be educated on the best way to go than be shut down like that. I wouldn't hesitate to give Dustin my business in the future once I do more research on what might be the best option for my car.

I dropped my 20 year old Nissan Xterra for a transmission check. Dustin gave it a thorough check without charging me anything. He didn't pressure me to get the transmission rebuilt, instead he gave me a practical advice on saving the money towards the purchase of an older but newer vehicle, and diverted me from spending on unnecessary services recommended by another auto shop. Thank you for your selfless generosity, kindness and charity toward others, and honesty. Wishing you more success in your business.

This was the best experience I ve ever had with an auto maintenance shop. They saved me over $2,500 in unnecessary repairs to my transmission by doing a thorough and honest evaluation of my truck. Dustin was both friendly and professional, and I will be a customer for life!

I took my 03 Navigator to North Texas Transmission for electrical problems. The problem was fixed in one day when other shops couldn't figure it out for months. The total price was very reasonable. Instead of throwing your money away for shops to guess the problems i recommend you go here to have your problems corrected. It will save you lots of money. This company was recommended to me. Took my F-250 to them, and it needed the rear-end rebuilt. They had the whole rear-end apart an hour after I dropped it off, and they showed me exactly what was wrong and how to fix it. They took care of everything.A month after the repair, the pinion seal was leaking. Took it back to the under warranty, and they had found that the yoke was damaged. Dustin's exact words were, "we should have replaced it the first time around, so this one is on us." Then handed me my keys. You don't see that kind of thing in the auto industry anymore.If I ever need any type of gear work in the future, these are the guys I'm take my trucks to.

When my FJ cruiser developed a substantial rear diff leak I was lucky to find North Texas Transmission. (Well luck and a lot of research helped.) Dustin was able to work me into their schedule on short notice for a diagnostic evaluation. They were able to keep me driving until the necessary repair parts came in and then had my repair done in one day for the exact amount originally quoted. Dustin took the time to explain everything they were seeing and provided options on what repairs to perform. I could not be happier with my experience with North Texas Transmission.

Absolutely couldn't be happier or more satisfied with North Texas Transmission than I am. These guys are extremely knowledgeable, fast and fair. Anyone with a 8SPD GM Trans should come here !Went to the dealer to get my truck fixed, quote came out to be almost $3,000. Called various shops in Arlington and Mansfield with no luck because they didn t have the tech to work on my transmission. Once I spoke with Dustin at NTT all my concernes were at ease. He took the time to tell me what our first course of action should be before replacing parts like the dealership has suggested. All I needed was new trans fuild and temp sensor. I am a customer for life now. Hard to find trust worthy people to work on your vehicles now a days.

The people at North Texas Transmission are friendly, fair and experts when it comes to transmissions. I recently had problems with my transmission. I took my vehicle to North Texas Transmission to have them take a look. My transmission needed to be replaced. They never hesitated to answer any of my questions or phone calls. Every time I would call they would take the time to answer my questions and work through the transmission problem. The people at North Texas Transmissions are people who you can trust and rely on to be looking out for you and your car. They are some of the most honest and hard working people. You know you are getting the straight answer the first time asked. I appreciate them being so honest and willing to work with their customers. My car is now running like it is new thanks to North Texas Transmission. I never had to worry if the job was done right and that is worth its weight in gold.

My old Dodge Neon needed a shift modulator valve. They replaced it at a very reasonable price, and did not try to soak me for any unneeded charges. They finished it up in one day! The manager was courteous and forth right in his communication. The Neon shifts great!! An Honest dependable transmission shop!! They will get more of my Business!

I can't express how grateful I am for the staff at North Texas Transmission. Another shop gave me a rebuild quote, with a *maybe* TCM replacement. NTX Transmission gave me a second opinion, and said that before doing anything else, I need a TCM, because it's failed completely. They couldn't get one, and so they told me I could come install my own and they'd recheck it for me. Got the TCM installed right there in the parking lot, and it ran like a charm. $700 part and my time, instead of $4-5k of rebuild/replace work.If anyone ever asks me where to go for Transmission work, this is where I'm sending them.

North Texas Transmission (NTT)is the best transmission service I have ever received. I was quoted prices at several shops and I was expecting to send $700-$800 on repairs. Mr. Todd at NTT informed me that the issue with my transmission was diagnosed incorrectly. They solved the problem and my bill was less than half of what I expected. I highly recommend North Texas Transmission, they get 5 stars in my book. One more thing, if cleanliness is next to Godliness then these guys are going to Heaven, the shop was immaculate.

Thought I had transmission problem, stuck in 3rd gear. I took it to two other transmission shops. One wanted $425 to find out what was wrong....the other said my problem was fixed. Finally, I found North Texas Transmissions. In just a few hours they figured out it was an ignition switch, not a transmission issue.The owner of North Texas Transmission is an fair and honest, straight talking business man who is more interested in helping you solve your problem than making a buck. They have earned my respect and my business. I will be going back for all future needs...and I Highly recommend them.

Took my tired pickup in for what I thought was transmission issues. They kept it overnight and ran some tests and determined the transmission wasn't the issues. Excellent customer service. Owner talked me through what they were doing. Would recommend them to anyone.

I can not believe they are charging double for a remanufactured transmission vs buying a new one from Nissan itself!12/18/2020 3:39pm was called by this company after writing this review. The man was using a tone that is highly unprofessional and invasive.

Couldn't be happier with the service we received from Dustin and Richard. Our problem was not near as bad as we'd been told by 2 other shops. We would recommend them any time,
