Terrible service and overall experience. I bought a motor from here after I had been convinced that it was good. I had it installed and it immediately started knocking. Customer service has not been a help to me at all. Terrible business.

BAD BUSINESS! I do NOT recommend this place. If you are about to purchase a motor from this business, STOP and read this first!I will be clear and direct, I purchased a motor from them and payed for labor to have it installed as well. They have a warranty on their motors (or maybe not). As soon as they call me to pick up my vehicle, I drive it back home and notice the bad performance and engine light on, so I immediately took it back the next day. They received the vehicle, which they also kept for months without even giving me a courtesy call to inform me of the status. While this happened, I was tracking every movement of my vehicle through my insurance's locator device and quickly noticed it being drove around randomly, and also it was being kept on a different location, because this people uses an external mechanic shop. After months of waiting I decided to contact and was informed that they replaced the timing belt and the vehicle was ready to pickup. I make my way to pick it up, drive it around on my way back home and the vehicle still not performing well, same engine light on, same codes. I took it back once again, same story, they kept it for months, used their external mechanics, and never gave me a call back. When I decided to contact, they inform me of a "high pressure fuel pump" that needed to be replaced, and since this wasn't included on the warranty (because it's not part of the engine) they would not fix it, but I had to PAY THEM for the diagnostics, which later they dropped the charges when I asked them for my purchase receipt which they never gave me one, and they had to make a new one because they lost the original one. I have to mention that the mechanic shop they use have absolutely no sense of a clean job, and left dark grease spots all over inside the cabin, door panels, center console, etc. and even their trash, and I'm not talking about chips bags, I'm talking about dirty clothes, containers, boxes, used rags. Anyways, back to my vehicle, I take it somewhere else and payed to have the part replaced and as it was to be expected, this did not fixed the issue!. I now have taken my vehicle to another location and thanks to this Technicians, the issue was found in less than 1 day, the issue is obviously an engine problem, and it is repairable, the bad news is parts and labor will cost $1200 to $2000 which now I have to pay myself because JDM tried everything to avoid making their warranty effective by telling me every issue I had was not part of the motor. Their warrant clearly states: "If the engine was installed by a certified mechanic, it is the mechanic's responsibility to ensure that the engine is in good condition before releasing the vehicle to the customer". Which they fail to do! they never released a vehicle in good conditions even though they "installed the motor" which seems more like I actually PAID for an engine and was scammed by JDM trying to rebuild it and failing to do so. In conclusion, BAD business, negligence, lack of integrity, lack of communication, warranty scam, and bad service overall. If you want to buy a motor from them for $2000 - $3000 and end up paying over $5000, DO NOT waste your time and go to a competitive shop like I did, where they call you, inform you, leave you voicemails, and every repair gets approved by you with transparency.

I am not sure where to start, I bought a Subaru motor them, they told me I didn't have to switch any major parts, THEY LIED, after thousands of dollars trying to switch parts, and still the motor was not running right, I take it back to them so they can fix the issue they kept my car for 2 months and still didn t fix it. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS AND RUDE

They did an engine swap for me. J37a2 from an Acura RL into my MDX. Done right, good pricing. Took a little longer than their estimate, but I prefer right more than quick.

I ordered a motor on a saturday. It showed up the following Tuesday.Lkq wanted a little bit less for motors with triple the mileage.On top of this, the owner of Dallas jdm personally delivered my motor early morning. He had a couple employees call in but he didn't let that delay deliveries.I'm a mechanic so any chance I can, the engines are coming from Dallas JDM.My personal vehicle has one of their motors in it and I haven't had a single regret about it.I may buy another for a turbo project!You guys are awesome

I purchased a Toyota motor from them for my Camry and I had them install it. It ran rough since picking up my car. I immediately took it to the bodyshop for scheduled paint work on trunk lid. Got it back and took to mechanic my family uses and he sent me a picture of the inside of valve cover and I haven t put more than 500 miles before major problems. He said motor has sludge and it didn t happen in just 500 miles of use.

So unfortunately they do not have knowledge employees they sold me a transmission that was not compatible and this is the aftermath of their transmission I'm highly disappointed and will have to take legal action be careful when they tell you that it is compatible cause they obviously don't know I have to pay a crazy amount to find what modem was fried and get repaired all while have a customer that was also very upset down my throat asking why this happened unlike JDM we are having to cover the cost.

I think this is more than fair but the price was the best around. They had to follow up with me to send a few extra parts. The service was top notch.... A little rushed, and they could possibly use a little brush me up, but helpful and the couple small items that I thought should have been included with the shipment, got sent to me in a timely manner.

Had a bad experience with another DFW area JDM supplier. Called up these folks and got what I felt was a fair price over the phone with no haggling. Showed up the next day. Got the discussed price, no hassles. Was headed out with two engines in about 15 minutes. Had to drive farther to this seller, but was treated well. Shop is clean and organized. The motors I received are in good shape. I'm happy! If I'm in the market again, these guys will be my FIRST call.

We ve been in contact for 2 weeks now and told them we would purchase a motor on their website and pick it up this weekend. They gave us compression numbers and we asked for a video for proof and they kept claiming they sent a video when they never did. It turns out there was no motor and they were just okay with stealing our money and us driving 3 1/2 hours for nothing. Completely unprofessional and their reviews show how shady they are.And replying to their response. We never once said we wanted anyone to hold a motor. We simply said we were purchasing it online to pickup. the person we spoke to on the phone several times said they do it all the time. We were waiting for an emailed video of the motor that was never sent. And no. We will never be doing business with you and will make sure no one from the okc area does either.

The best place to get high quality jdm engines, i used this people for several times with no issues, even in my daily car (04 wrx) i get an jdm ej20 4 years ago with 65k miles right now the engine have 145k miles and still running like new!! with 15 psi boost.

I wanted to say that this place is one of the best shop that sells JDM engines so far and the price is pretty competitive. They have great customer service(that's a plus!). The only bad thing was that their warranty that they offered was only 3 months. I would prefer 6 months warranty though, but it's all good. Highly recommended for those people or mechanics that looking for good JDM engines

Found these folks after my bad experience with Car Part Express LLC. These guys are super, worked with me on the price. Have not had to use their warranty because the motor is great. Installed it in her truck and it runs perfectly. No smoking or oil burning. Have told serval friends about them. Wish they offered American engines. Will go back to them if I ever need another Japanese motor again.

Ordered an EJ20X from them in April. Was immediately blown away with the condition, they shipped it with the oil, which was awesome for inspection purposes. I have put about 2200 miles on the engine so far, it burns no oil, and it is still clean. I am using all original sensors that came on the engine, simply swapped the harness, works great. Order from these guys, it is worth the "extra cash" (was like $100 haha). Incredible. I got burned by two other importers. This was refreshing. These guys have a 90 day warranty because their engines are rock solid. Thank you so much, if I need an engine for anything else, I won't even consider anyone else.

I'm an auto shop owner who decided to try out a JDM engine for the first time. And I must say, horrible experience! Went through 2 engines before getting a refund and going elsewhere.They don't check these motors prior to shipping. 2 engines in a row is proof....The first engine I recieved had a bad misfire on cylinder 3 after installation. A compression test reveiled the #3 cylinder to only have 60 psi. They quickly got a replacement out to me and assured me it was compression tested prior to shipping. Even told me they'd send me a video of it being done (which never happened). This time I did a compression check (dry and wet) before buttoning everything up. I had to drop the motor in the car first to do this because the starter mount is on the transmission. To my amazment 2 cylinders on this unit tested bad. Deeply frustrating as I'm out the labor time on these. The worse part was there was no show of sympathy or remorse. No apology. Nothing.If you go with these guys expect sub par customer service and a good gamble on you part, not to mention a premium price for a used engine. I was able to source a rebuilt unit at a competitor for the same price. Wish I'd of found them first

Got a transmission from here. friendly, great price!!! trans been doing good for 2 weeks now. I'm very impressed. i'm sure this company will stand behind any warranty given. super job!!!100% 2 years later transmission still doing good!

Good parts and good prices. Yes the miles they say are on there engines and transmissions are true and honest. Been buying parts here for years and got one bad trans. They made it right shipping and all. Highly recommend

The engine I received was absolutely caked in sludge internally, and once I got it running it had blown head gasket too. It took me weeks to install it though, so no point in trying to return it. I would inspect any purchase in person and remove valve cover/oil pan before accepting it. The quality and condition of the parts here are DRASTICALLY overstated. I'll rebuild the top half of my motor and take it as a lesson learned. BUYER BEWARE

Very happy with my purchase. I called them up and Jorge was on the phone with me until he was sure I got what I wanted and the price was very reasonable. Other importers engines were either a bit too rough or pricier, these guys had pretty good looking engines and my 2jz swapped s14 is still running strong after 3 months.These guys will definitely be getting more business from me in the future!

Ordered engine on 12/26 and was delivered 12/30. Motor was clean and as ordered. We installed motor and had and didn't have no fire on a consistent basis so I called and the person answered my question and told us what to do. Now motor runs perfect. I will definitely tell people about this place and will buy from again if need something.

Bought a wrx transmission from here. Upon installing it I found out that there s a grind in second gear. Contacted Dallas jdm and they shipped me out a replacement same day. Great customer service! Would recommend.

I was told they had a vehicle I wanted. They said it was ready to be sold. After driving 3 hours from Oklahoma, I find out they hadn t received the paperwork yet and it d be approximately 3 weeks. I was very angry they lied to me! I would not recommend and will never go back.
