Went in to get some oil for my car since it was low on oil and I didn't know which brand or anything the younger guy probably my age offered to help me he was really nice and didn't try to upsell me on anything I ended up only spending $10 on oil and a funnel then went ahead and put some oil in my car. He even gave me a paper on their deals for when I decide to change my oil.

One of my favorite advanced auto's to go to bc they really have some of the best car care products when it comes to cleaning and detailing your car.

Albeit, I didnt visit this store for auto parts this day. This Advanced Auto Parts is designated a UPS Access Point. This day hasn't been my only time dropping off 3-4 Pelican cases to ship at this store. Typically with no problem at all. This time there was an elderly guy, not the usual young folks working. This guy had thin hair, or bald with glasses. As I started to walk in with two of my cases, he bellowed out "CAN I HELP YOU?!". Of course I replied "here to drop off for a UPS pick up". He barked back to me saying that they're an Access Point not a UPS store ,we don't take anything over 40 lbs!" I then, in reaction said "really?" and almost explained that I've dropped these cases off there before, several times. But I didn't because this guy already had an attitude towards me for walking into his store. He also assumed all of my cases were over 40 lbs. When only one of my cases was 2 pounds over his "weight limit". With his attitude I didn't want to leave my sub-40lb cases because I had no comfort in knowing if my parcels would have been transferred to UPS. As I left with my parcels he glared at me like I stole 30 seconds of his life. At his age maybe he needed to make the most of his time. Though this was not related to purchasing auto parts, it does show what kind of customer service you can expect from him. I say "him" because everyone else I have had interactions with have been stellar. This guy is the one bad apple that's ruined everyone else. I'll be going to Auto Zone for my auto needs from now on that's 1/4 mile closer for me.

Bought some Relays today and ended up needing a wiring harness instead of relays. They refused to return the unused relays they just sold me 20min prior. It should be company policy to advise the customer, that once you purchase this item. It cannot be returned. I advise not purchasing anything electronic from Advanced Auto. Also starting Monday I will no longer be using the Commercial Account for my business as well, it will be sent to AutoZone down the street. Although this was just $30, I spend $30,000 per year with my commercial account and will no longer do business with this company.

This is my local auto parts I came in to buy a 12 point socket 21 mm which I thought I would need to remove a lug nut. It turns out a friend of mine removed it with an impact wrench and I did not need the 21 mm socket, so I go in for a refund for $5.99 and the guy at the counter says no refunds on tools. Are you serious? on my way to O Reilly for my next auto parts shopping

The two young men that helped me the past few days were very helpful, professional, and kind. I've had a rough few weeks getting car parts in a timely manner and they were able to get the parts I needed quickly and when they said they would and their prices were cheaper then I expected.

Was sold the wrong sparks plugs by an employee at this location. Went to return the spark plugs, other employee was very hesitant as soon as he seen they were spark plugs. Even brought back the contact gel sold with it Obviously not used . Looked up my phone number and magically no phone number found. . Make sure you keep your receipts from this location!

I'm a mobile mechanic and my time is important, I came in a little flustered because I had 4 bearings and 2 seals I needed THAT DAY, and a competitor couldn't help me. I believe it was Dennis, who took one quick look at the parts, and figured out he had half in-house and would have the other half that afternoon. I completed that job that day. Good service, better than the neighbor by a long shot.

Went in to get oil and a filter for my wife's car and he gives me the price of the most expensive filter they carry and nothing else, I know they have to sell to make money that's their job but they need to give the customer choices.

Fast friendly service and they still come out to your car to replace battery, bulbs, windshield wipers and run diagnostic tests.Good place to rent that special tool you need to get your job done and they'll refund your money most times when you bring tools back undamaged.If they don't have a part you need usually its it's in the next day, so give'em a chance I think you'll be satisfied.

Advance auto is not the parts store I will ever shop at again! Bought a shock that they will not refund me for. The shock was the wrong one, never installed. Sales person even agreed it was wrong shock. Accused me of trying to return wrong part. Said I could not return shock because it was the wrong one. Just dont ever buy from them. Their mistake i have to pay for.

They didn't have the spark plugs I needed for my old tractor, but the real issue is they didn't seem to care and made no effort to tell me where I might find them.

Bought two brand new optima yellow top batteries had one go bad in less than a year. Manager said that it was just dead and he could charge it basically saying that I didn't know what I was doing.Needless to say that he spent a few days trying to charge it himself with no luck so I finally got a new exchange. Just a few days ago the other one decided to go bad on me took it to the store showed him the optima battery charger and the message it said it read battery cannot be charged he made a big fuss about protocol about charging it I took it to middlesboro and no question asked they went above and beyond to exchange it I highly recommend anyone who needs expert assistance to go to the middlesboro store instead of the new tazewell store trust me it's well worth the drive

This store is full of knowledgeable friendly people the manager I don't wanna butcher his name but he's an amazing guy who goes out of his way to make a customer feel like family! I only go to other parts stores if they can't get what I need.

My Daddy who owns a Vintage Junkyard has been coming here for years. Best parts store around! Friendly employees. A clean store. Any part I need if it's not in stock, can be ordered. No hassle. UPDATE MARCH 2022. I needed a type of glue to hang my rear view mirror back on. Immediately upon entering Advance Auto. An employee named DENNIS. He asked "Can I help you?" I explained what I needed. He said "I've got just the thing!" He walked from beside the counter. While I waited maybe 3 minutes. He returned with the glue I would need for my truck rearview mirror. I really did appreciate the help. Helpful employees working there! I hope their services never change.

Store is a joke employees verry disrespectful and will lie to your face I tryed to return a part which had been taped back shut and sold to Me. I had the wrong receipt so the manager says get the right one and come back so I did then he says he cant return it its against policy and the only reason he said that is because he Didnt think I had one or would be back so after wasting gas 2 times I still haven't gotten any thing accomplished you don't treat ppl like that got to AutoZone ppl

Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff! I went in to the store and told them what was going on with my car and the man helped me with figuring out what was wrong. How to fix it and also where the part was located.

I go there all the time. It has great gimmicks and beats advance and O'Reilly's auto for decent ppl at the counter.

Normal items not in stock. Have to order items, if available. Doesn't keep diagnostics equipment. Some employees don't seam to have interest in being helpful, some are friendly and helpful.
