My car was grinding when I stopped. I was told to come to Steve and his shop. They didn't disappoint. They told me exactly what was wrong and charged a fair price. When I bring my truck there for a new alternator put on , they broke the alternator braket and broke the bolts in the block and they change me more because they massed up and they was rude as hell

Used to be cool down to earth people... Don't know what happened... Had my car towed there after talking to a mechanic telling him it was coming and what I knew was wrong with the car. When the car gets there he refused it due to flat tires instead of airing them up. Yeah they were dry rotted from sitting but I wasn't asking him to drive it anywhere but the bay to get worked on. I just needed my car to start. That's it. Not gonna put tires on a car that doesn't start. His attitude was the worst and they don't deserve my hard earned money with that customer service. Glad it was over the phone instead of face to face. Could've been bad. Absolute a- holes.

We've had all of our vehicles here and they do a fantastic job every single time.They've treated us fairly and explain what they have done and always tell us to bring it back if there is ever any problems (there hasn't been a single problem with their work so far!)We highly recommend Absolute Auto.

These guys are top notch. They are down home good mechanics. I enjoyed talking to them and they made me feel at home. I am thankful they got my truck back on the road again. I will definitely be back. They also fixed my horn for free.

I don't know what's up with the other person's review. Disregard their comment. I'll tell you right now, if you need a mechanic, there is no better shop to go to than Absolute Auto here in Shelbyville.Steve, the shop owner, is a fantastic mechanic with years of experience. He is all for customer satisfaction and seems to have great moral code. A year or two ago I had a car with a cooling hose that had worn out and the repair was going to cost $250+ to fix because it was in a difficult spot to get to. A while later I received a call from Steve who said that he could remove some filters and do it a different way to knock the cost down to $110.Not many mechanics would have done that. I appreciated it immensely.Absolute Auto is run by a certified mechanic with years of experience who doesn't mess around. He gets the job done and he does it right, honestly, and for a good price.You won't find a better shop for miles around.I will never take my vehicles to anyone else. Ever. I'll walk before I do that.

My brother took his car up here having issues with his A/C not cooling. When he came back they said there was nothing they could do, as he left the shop he started to hearing a weird noise that wasn t there previously so he went back and politely told them about it. They began to start getting aggressive and cursing at him and claimed they had done nothing. They kicked him out of the shop and on his way home he heard a loud pop from under his car. We put the car on jacks and saw his A/C compressor had blown and that had been the loud thud. It was not blown before taking it to the shop. After further inspection we realized they put the fuses in the wrong spots. This shop was very unprofessional and rude. Never take your imports here. If it s not a Chevy or Ford they don t know what they are talking about. We will be filling a civil law suit for the damages !

These guys are so nice!! My battery went dead and I was stuck here for a good hour or so. These guys were absolutely amazing and so friendly! Also, after chit chatting and finally getting my car going, their professionalism is outstanding. Thanks guys!

Two of our missionaries were not able to start their Toyota Rav4 and couldn't determine what the problem was. I called and spoke with Steve, and he said he would immediately drive over to figure out what the problem was. He met them, determined that they had a dead battery, and was able to get the vehicle started so that they could drive it over to the nearest auto parts store to get a new battery. All at no charge. We definitely will use Absolute Auto Repair for our future automotive needs in Shelbyville.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Battery

Had a minor issue with my Mustang in front of their shop and they fixed it for free. If I ever need any service's done I will definitely use this place

I had a bad ignition coil. Parts and labor, around $200. I was very happy. No problems since. I will go back.

Very overrated and over priced was qouted well over 400 to fix both of my automatic windows in 99 ford ranger .. absolutely rediculous prices and rhethoric ..good luck
