I drove the van to baker for check up on the engine light on. They kept the van for a whole week without calling me. When I need the van back and this happened. They said they don t know anything, it burns up itself. I been driving it with no problems and I drop it off on the other side of the street and now it s on their property and the van is open up. Think for yourself before you take your vehicle here because now I have to pay for my insurance deductible and a month without the working van for my work

Baker's Transmission Seymour, TNI took the transmission from my 79 Camaro to Baker's Transmission in Seymour. They called in two days to say it was ready. When I went to pick up the transmission, it was not the transmission I took them, but a much cheaper aftermarket transmission. Mine is the original GM transmission that came in the car. It may not mean a lot to some, but I do have a numbers matching car and wish to keep it that way. I had cleaned and painted my housing prior to this, wasn't sure I was going to build it. They tried to cover mine up with very cheap silver spray paint.This is how you give small businesses a bad name. To the guy in the shop, thank you for fixing the issue, you only done as you were told.

They had my C5 Corvette from Nov. 2021 till Dec. 2022 (nearly 13 months) 3 transmissions rebuilds till they FINALLY I had another mechanic come inspect my car to find out the torque tube was bad causing the transmissions to burn up. They also have my Brand New 02 sensors not working, lost my lug nuts,broke my glove box,broke my middle console and I STILL have a very loud whine coming from the transmission. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!!Service: Transmission

Replace clutch twice my sister can't drive a clutch. She still says she can drive a clutch getting chevy fixed. Good people

These guys seem to be able to work on anything old or new, but they're REALLY good on the old stuff. And they do more than transmissions - they installed a whole new AC compressor on my late model car. I've taken everything from a 1972 to a 2003 to a 2016 and they've taken care of them all.

I asked them to do a simple job. I requested that they replace the control valve inside the valve body and clean up the valve body. They quoted $250 which was pretty reasonable. They went on a "diagnostic" drive, and proceeded to make up symptoms for what was wrong with the transmission. They explained the transmission with 134k miles that had never slipped ever and had had three flushes and filter changes needed completely rebuilt for 1800 to 2500....... Uh huh yeah right. These guys rip off artists. I wish I could give negative stars. However, to be completely fair I have had them press a couple bearings for me and they did subpar in placement and only charged 50 (that's giving them the spindle off the vehicle) were most places would charge 20 so not all that bad.....

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I just got off the phone with the manager, Greg. I polity asked for a breakdown of what they did to my husbands 2002 Chevy trailblazer. Greg yelled at me and said that was his trail blazer because we had previously left it there for 6 months to get the transmission fixed. They didn't even touch the vehicle for 2 months and then half assed it because a few weeks after we got the vehicle back the transmission messed up again. After Greg made that one comment he hung up on me. So I called back and a mechanic (I'm assuming) answered and said Greg wouldn't speak to me and I would be speaking to his attorney. I said that's fine but all I want is a list of what was done with the vehicle. The man screamed at me and I asked, "can we please speak like adults. I don't deserve to be yelled at." he responded, "how old are you 15?" I told him "no sir I'm 33 and I'm not the one yelling and cursing. All I need is a list of the work that was done to the trail blazer" he kept screaming at me and I couldn't understand what he was saying. After giving this company thousands of dollars this is how you get treated. Don't do business with them. They are rude and hateful. They do not treat their customers with respect and to get on the phone and scream at a woman and cuss her..... I have no respect for those people. Take your business somewhere else and the job will get done correctly.

This place charged me for a part that they did not completely replace but did a sauder job which i told them i did not want done. Needless to say i picked up my vehicle put less than a 100 miles on it and my vehicle broke down because they welded the part instead of replacing it only to cost me another $150 bucks when i gave them over $500 less than 12 hours earlier!!!! the mechanic and owner told me completely different stories. i would discourage anyone from trusting them with your vehicle, I personally will never use this company again because they gave me the run around every since i picked up my vehicle.

Truck went in for oil leak. 8 months and $2400 later Igot it back with more problems than it went in with. Brake lights didn't work, heat didn't work, wipers didn't work and it ran like sh!t. Didn't even make it home and it started overheating. Wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Better off going somewhere else.

Bakers Transmission is a locally owned business for almost 60 years!!!!! They are trustworthy and honest!!!!They have always worked with me and broke down the technical car lingo to something I can actually understand. They do free estimates!!!! They work on domestic and foreign !!!!

DONT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE.I spent 800 dollars to fix a injector and a pully and they didnt even fix my car. I got the car back and it drove worse then i took it in. I told them about it and they told me to drive it. Well i did and now i dont have a car it messed up again did the same thing it did wHen i took it in. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PEOPLE DONT GO TO THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE CROOKS AND THEY DONT CARE ABOUT ANYONE. They lie and cheat people and they just want that paycheck. It took them a week to come get my car in the first place and then it took three days to get it back after they told me they would come and get it sooner. I just wish someone would do something about this business cause they are gonna keep on screwing people over..... Please people DO NOT TAKE UR CAR THERE.

The Staff and Technicians at Bakers Transmission did an EXCELLENT Job Diagnosing My Transmission Problem. They Quickly and efficiently Repaired the Problem at a Reasonable Cost! Very Pleased!

Took my truck to them needing a motor put in they gave me a price so I left it with them I had the factor motor in the bed on the day I left it with them was told it would be done in about a month also went through them to get my brand new crate motor with everything from jasper engines they received the new motor within a week or two and then it started four months of stilling parts of my truck and never even missed with other than to take my parts over $2000 was stolen in parts I had they even cut bolts just lukly ford had them but I was told by ford them bolts I got their was only 4 or 5 more packeges of them left in the hole U.S and they also tried to say I was going to pay jasper engines a $6xx something core charge and I told them it was not going to happen then had turned around got my truck after four months and all the new parts jasper engines sent me was missing needless to say I will not ever do business with this company again not even to air up a bicycle tire

This company is a FRAUD!! They had my car for 2 months, did not complete the job as promised. I was told to come get the car, but they kept my money !! My transmission was not repaired ; due to their Negligence I now have more damage . They refuse to refund or pay for the damage they caused (I have proof from another company stating it was their fault). Poor Excuse for a so called Family Owned Company!!!!! Rating 1-5 (5 the best) They rate a - 0
