They did good work but holy buckets if you re looking for cheap this isn t it. Against, they fixed my problem properly but I paid top dollar and then some for them to do it.

AAA recommended towing my 2014 Subaru to The Car People when I needed an axle replaced (for the 3rd time). I could tell driving out of the shop the car felt right. I used a big chain shop for this repair the first 2 times, that charged me FAR more, kept my car TWICE as long, and NEVER fixed the issue...NO MORE!!! I'll take it back here again next time I need a repair. They did the job in half the time and at a better price! The guys are very good and I admire their quality of work. They truly live up to their word. My 99 Accord (350 k miles) had small oil leak and they went above and beyond to make sure that it was fixed properly. Above and Beyond should be their Motto. They replaced the transmission 3 years ago and it still runs great. My experience with The Car People always exceeds my expectations. Wayne always explains what needs to be done and if there are any unforeseen issues with repairs, he tells me, so I am prepared for future expenses. Jolene is always helpful and friendly everytime I call there. Great place for repairs!

I tried The Car People, based off of the reviews and their proximity, compared to my previously used auto shop. I didn't know what to expect, but I was greeted warmly upon entering, they had me listed for my appointed time, and explained everything before executing. I absolutely love this place!! Delontay is very kind and very knowledgeable in his field. I have been using the car people for my auto needs for several years now! Chandler has been there the entire time and knows what he s doing for sure! When I have needed something done to my vehicles over the years I knew the one place I could take them that I could 100% trust! And that says something cause I DO NOT TRUST OFTEN!The gentleman here are always friendly and professional. I am grateful to call them my car people.Thanks The Car People!! They beat me out of $175 I took them my car to do diagnostics and fix the problem and they call me and tell me my battery was dead and I needed to pay $175 more for diagnostics and more money if I want the car fixedService: TransmissionService: Transmission

Broke down outside nashville. Stuck it to us in extra charges and labor. We were out of state and didn't have a choice and they knew it. According to our local place we take it in stl that regularly maintains our car said they most likely did work and ordered more expensive parts than what it needed. But at least the car got fixed and it does have a 3 year warranty.

Let me start by saying that Wayne is one of the kindest and most honest souls I have ever met. He was an absolute joy to work with and he really went above and beyond in the customer service department. We were extremely happy with the service we received and will definitely be back. Dwayne and crew are awesome. They got my car ready for the road. Only reason I didn t give 5 stars is because I had to take car back and use Uber again but overall I would recommend them to anyone with car problems. Call them for appointment!Great customer!

Do you research on parts that you might need before you go here. We were having car problems and needed brakes, calipers and rotors. Should not have been more than $1000. They charged us over 2000 cause the knew we were in an emergency situation, out of towners and needed to get home. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS UNLESS YOU DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND DONT CARE ABOUT SPENDING MONEY YOU DONT HAVE.

As a younger female without any family in town, I was worried about finding an auto repair shop I could trust and feel comfortable with. I've now been taking my car to the Car People for almost three years and would never consider going elsewhere. I consistently receive excellent customer service, quality work, and fair pricing. Jeff is awesome, and will make sure you are fully informed with any work they might need to do to your car. These guys are genuinely good people. I highly recommend!!

After reading the reviews, especially the one where the lady said they were so honest and topped her oil off for free and another time drove her car and found nothing wrong with it and didn't charge her anything, I called about a suspension issue with my vehicle. The earliest appointment was about 10 days later and on Labor Day which was not ideal but I kept the appointment. I called back to confirm that they would drive my car and let me know what it needed before incurring any charges. The lady I was speaking with assured me they would. I dropped my car off and again explained what was going on with the vehicle and was told they would give it a drive, check it out and give me a call. I called an Uber to pick me and take me home. On my way home the lady called to again asking what issues I was having with the vehicle and then told me there would be a $75.00 diagnostic charge. I asked her why she didn't tell me this up front instead of waiting till I was paying an Uber driver to take me home. I told her this caused me to distrust this company and their practices and that I would be coming back to get my vehicle. When I returned I voiced my frustration and the same man who was sitting there when I brought the vehicle in and heard my conversation with her chimed in to inform me that he was the manager at that location and he was training her. I suggested he train her to inform people up front about their charges! He then proceeded to scold me asking if I expected people to do things for free. I told him no, I expect them to be honest and state their charges up front. Had they done that I would have paid the $75.00 but because of the way they handled this I couldn't trust them to tell me whether I needed and oil change or an engine replacement. To the owners of this business. You need a better manager! A smart manager would have realized his mistake of failure to properly train the employee and waived the diagnostic free, not just because it's the right thing to do, but I assure you it's worth more than $75.00 not to have this bad review!!!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have had my car here two separate times for different issues, and The Car People have yet to disappoint. Wayne is great at keeping you in the loop on status of your vehicle, and working with him is a breeze.I have an older vehicle and the electrical work I needed was out of my comfort zone, but after speaking with Wayne I was confident this was the place to be.The included warranty and the quality of the people working on the vehicle will ensure that I return here when it comes time for the next repair. I ve trusted the car people with my vehicle for a few years now. They always give me a fair price and are transparent about every step in the process. Geoff is the absolute best! Not only is he amazing in all aspects of customer service, but he s extremely knowledgeable about vehicles and repairs (and not to mention, hilarious!) Although their new location is out of my way, I wouldn t trust my car with anyone else. Thanks guys!

The best auto repair experience I have ever had! For 5 years, I have only allowed The Car People, LLC to repair my vehicle which is very difficult to repair due to it being older and only briefly made in the 90's. The work is perfect, the communication is exceptional and the pricing is reasonable! The repair time was extremely fast and the customer service was the best I have ever experienced. If you were like me and didn't trust repair shops, go to The Car People, LLC on Dickerson Pike. They restored my faith in honest mechanics. Go see them and see what I mean!

My The Car People first experience was 5 !Fast diagnosis, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Incredible turn around time and wonderful attention to detail (40 point check). Once the car is diagnosed, then send a link by text with pictures of what is wrong and a detailed examination of the vehicle! I could go on and on about the good things about this business! I've been taking my vehicle to The Car People for years! They are very trustworthy and don't ever try to sell you anything you don't need. If they tell you your car needs something, you can believe it. I love the fact that they do a full check up whenever I get my oil changed so I can know if anything needs attention. They do excellent work and are very friendly. They know their stuff! :-) Delontay is the best!

I purchased a AC Delco battery from this location 4+ years ago. It still works perfectly. I recently went to different place for a tire issue. I have no idea WHYYYYY someone removed the battery cap from my battery.WEIRD RIGHT?So, I remembered that I bought my battery from The Car People and I called. I spoke with Jolene! She was so nice. She listened. Then went into action. She told me to come in. They tested my battery and my alternator. Both were fine! Then she found me a cap for my battery YAYYYYYYY!I will be back!!(@jkhunter1 on IG/Celeb MUA)

The Car People are a great crew of guys. Geoffrey at the front desk takes care of everyone that comes through the door. We had two cars in for some major items. They were able to quickly identify the issues and give me several options and cost estimates to consider along with their opinion of their recommended action. They're the experts so I took their word and I am glad I did. Both cars are running great and they feel like they can go another 100,000 miles! Thanks Car People!
