I cannot say enough good things about Lawson & Son! I was recommended to go here when I experienced issues with my car this weekend and I showed up first thing Monday morning without an appointment hoping they could squeeze me in in the next couple of days. By mid morning PK called to let me know they had already run the diagnostics and that my car would be ready that same afternoon! I was worried about how much it was going to cost but they are honest and reasonable and I will continue to go here for all my car needs in the future!

The work was done a little faster than was estimated, the cost was much less than I expected and the explanations were not only comprehensive but also explained why no unnecessary, yet requested work was performed. I worked in several shops years ago and so I know what to expect. Lawson definitely does 5 star work.

New to Nashville. Lawson & Son was recommended by a friend. I've been there once for tire rotation and oil change. Good service, fair pricing and did not try to upsell additional services. This is my new go to service center.

The Lawson and Son Auto Repair business has a well-deserved excellent reputation. Based on recommendations from others, I recently took my car there for routine maintenance and to check out a couple of issues. They completed the work in a timely way and nothing was done that didn't need to be done. I will definitely be returning to them for my car service needs in the future.

A cold day and the last thing I wanted was a dead batteryIcalled Lawsons but they couldn t jump it but could fix it -my neighbor had this little pocket sized jumper and got it started-Lawsons took it right away and replaced the battery and Che cked oil and tires in 35 minutes Great service and Great people

The classic, honest mechanic in Nashville! Always the best, quickest and least expensive. I m in my late 40s and remember my parents always taking their cars to Lawson s b/c that was their great reputation then too.Great people too. I ve pulled in to Lawson s at the end of the day with a flat and they patched it while I waited and sent me on my way without charging me. I wasn t happy getting warning light that I m loosing air in my passenger side rear tire. Thanks for the Yelp reviews I founded this shop nearby. It was a quick fix. We are so happy we found Lawson and Sons! Very friendly inside and on the phone. Good price on full synthetic oil change with tire rotation for myself as well as the same for my son. Downtown Nashville Nissan tried ripping my wife off telling her she needed a new timing belt at less than 50k miles. This is when we thankfully found Lawson and Son s. The inspected everything and assured us things were good. We ve exclusively used them since. Very grateful for their services.Services: Tire rotations, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

They're great! I'm a woman who doesn't know cars and goes alone, and they've never scammed me! I took my car to Lawson's and Walmart in the same week and I felt awful leaving Walmart and great leaving Lawson's! The prices are reasonable, too! I'll be going here from now on and recommending them to everyone I know.

It's not often you pay $500 for your car to get repaired and drive off smiling. However that was my experience with Lawson. I've been driving around with rattles on the front end and the engine misfiring for a while. Both problems were fixed for a reasonable price. The engine issue was diagnosed quickly and they were confident their recommended fix would take care of the misfires which it did. I will also mention the engine issue wasn't what I brought it in for but figured after the suspension was fixed it couldn't hurt to ask if there's anything they could do about it.This isn't my first time doing business with Lawson. Each visit I felt the diagnosis was spot on for a fair price. Also each visit I've left the car overnight and it will take them a hot second to get to it. I'm okay with this since all the work has been diagnosed correctly which I appreciate after having dealt with misdiagnoses from other shops.

I have taken multiple cars to Lawson and Son over the past two years and have always had a great experience from the appointment scheduling through the pick up process. Their work has been top notch and also priced reasonably especially compared to quotes from the local dealerships. They always keep busy so you will need to make an appointment a few days in advance but they have always had my car back to me at my scheduled time.Service: Air conditioning

I scheduled with Lawson and Sons for a scheduled maintenance and for them to check out a "check emissions system" light in my car. I specifically asked if they could do that and was told "yes." The day I brought my car in, I again said that it needed the maintenance and needed to have the emissions system check. I was leaving town that day so they were able to have my vehicle for 5 days. They told me they would call with their findings. I never heard anything from them, and when my car was picked up by my wife, they had done nothing about the emissions. I called to see why and they told me that I had only scheduled for maintenance but I could bring my car back in and they could do me a favor and get it checked later in the week. This is the second time I've had issues with this company not following through with what they were supposed to do. I let it go the first time, because everyone has bad days, but this is obviously a common problem with them.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Auto emissions testing

Lawsons came highly recommended to me from a Nashville "unicorn", aka born and raised. I couldn't believe how fast, honest, reliable and reasonably priced they were. I have been back multiple times, and the fair pricing and quick turnaround have remained beautifully consistent. I have recommended it to many, many friends over the years. Recently, they personally reached out to let me know they would be closed for a week of holiday, and did I need anything before then. Never in my life have I had my "car people" reach out proactively like that. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

I m amazed at the timely-ness and honesty of this awesome humans! Had heard great things from multiple people, called on a Tuesday to make an appointment, and they had me in and out by Friday afternoon. My brakes had started to make a screeching noise, so I assumed I was due for a brake pad replacement. The team at Lawson & Sons explained there was built up dust in my brakes causing the noise and replacements were not needed. They cleaned them free of charge, replaced my splash guard that was bent out of shape, and sent me home with a bill less than $100! Unheard of!I can guarantee from past experience any other shop would have taken me in and replaced them without checking them properly simply because I m a young female they would have assumed didn t know any better. I am so thankful and impressed with the trustworthiness of this shop. I ve messaged Lawson at least 3 times regarding getting repairs done on my car, and have not received ANY reply from them. Why have a website that invites repair inquiries - and why be in business - if you re going to ignore new business inquiries?

Great experience from this mechanic! Had a loud clacking noise from front driver side wheel after Valvoline did an oil change and tire rotation. Lawson and Son found out it was the ABS that was loose. I had an issue with a mechanic last year involving the ABS, so this could ve been due to that incident (so hard to find a reliable mechanic). But now I ve found one! Price was fair (wasn t charged a separate diagnostic fee) and they didn t try to persuade me into other services. Had to book appointment a week out, so keep in mind when scheduling. Great service and will come back next time I need a mechanic.

Lawson & Sons are truly masters in their profession!My Camrys alternator died Thursday, called to have it towed to them and they had my alternator repaired and battery charged the very next day! Toyota quoted me $629 for the alternator alone and an extra $300 in labor in total being over $900, Lawson quoted me $502 installed with a 2 year warranty!If you're looking for a reasonable price and honest auto mechanic in Nashville, look no further! Great work, reasonable people and prices. Parking is a bit sparse, but other than that no gripes at all. Suspected a busted strut and took my car in, turned out to be a bad control arm and strut but they only charged labor for one piece since they already had the strut off when they discovered the arm was going out as well. Definitely would come back 1000x before going to a dealership.

Again, PK and his Team have taken absolute care of my vehicle and me. It was time for an oil and filter change and a couple of other regular maintenance items. Made an appointment and they had me in and out in about an hour. The entire time I was hanging out in the waiting area (working!) I heard how professional and friendly everyone is to each other as well as the sales folks that were in and out. And I wasn't overcharged like I had been at a couple of the other auto repair shops in a 1 mile radius (looking at you M*d*s!) I highly recommend Lawson & Son Auto Repair...you will not be disappointed!

Lawson's is the rare trustworthy local mechanic of your dreams. Everyone there is so kind, dependable, and efficient that I actually look forward to getting my car's oil changed. How crazy is that? If you need a mechanic, give them a shot.

Our car had to be towed to Lawson & Son at 8:00pm. My wife needed the car back by 11:00am the following morning. They were able to replace the alternator and have the car ready for pickup by 11:00am as promised. That is great customer service! I highly recommend Lawson & Son. This is not the first time we've used them and their service is always excellent.
