Nice guys. Seem knowledgeable. Had a bad experience with my brakes. I had them install new brake pads because mine were squealing. The squealing still continues with the new brake pads and they said there's nothing they can do about it. So I have to suffer with squealing brake pads until they wear down and need replacement again.

The communication is the worst that I have every seen in a establishment that provides a service, They have have had my vehicle about a month and just will not answer the phone, The only communication is when I reach out to them when they occasionally decide to pick up every once in a while. They have promised anwsers and call backs with failure to do so. I previously spent over 3k there and I will not be doing any further business with this establishment. Poor Customer Service probably the worst I've seen.

I brought my Range Rover Classic to Lance to solve a sudden low oil pressure issue. To my surprise, the estimate I received from Lance was a phone call recommending that I budget around $25,000 to $30,000 for repairs to rebuild my engine and remedy a slew of drivetrain issues stemming from a locked transfer case viscous coupling that snapped the front axles in half and broke the differential and damaged the transmission . Lance was confident I would need to replace the transfer case, transmission, clutch, front differential, axle half shafts, swivel housings, and wheel bearings.As a long-time collector, I know when I m being swindled, and I can t say I m surprised since I brought in a rare Range Rover Classic. Since I was due to be out of town for the next two weeks, I asked Lance to only resolve the low oil pressure issue. I thought this would be a reasonable ask since Lance fixed the issue by removing a dragging AC compressor belt stemming from a seized tensioner pulley. Again, to my surprise, Lance was reluctant and advised I would still need an engine rebuild and wouldn t know the damage until he inspected the engine further .Instead, I towed my truck to the Land Rover dealership in Brentwood. In just one week, the team dropped the oil pan and found zero engine issues after borescope inspecting the heads and bottom end. They also determined the drivetrain issue was due to a broken CV joint that was improperly installed by previous ownership and that the transfer case was working properly.Total bill? $1,550.Lance: Start low, aim high. Not a great sales pitch if you want to take advantage of customers.

I was traveling through the fine city of Nashville when lo and behold my check engine light came on. While my plans for the new year were "lit," seeing this alert was not. I was able to take my vehicle to an advanced auto parts for a scan, and I was fortunate enough that the gentleman working there recommended Lance's Auto repair because of my type of vehicle. I called Lance's Auto repair early the next morning on New Year's Eve and after explaining that I was traveling, Lance got me a diagnostic, an estimate, and said that he would assist me that day even though it was short notice. Thank you for the courteous service and the extra details about my vehicle that only come from years of experience and expertise working in the field. I did make it back home and Lance fix my check engine light problem. So I can say that I had a happy new year thanks to Lance. He really is. Lance and his team are very knowledgeable with foreign auto repair. I don t trust any else to work on my vehicle. They are speedy and fair priced. My first time visiting them, Lance saved me $3000 by repairing my cars computer. BMW told me I needed a new computer.

Lance and his crew have saved me thousands of dollars on repairs for my Audi. This last time he saved me $1,700! All because he and his team do GREAT work at a FAIR price. You aren t paying for all of the overhead other shops carry, but you are paying for mechanics that are experts in their diagnostics and repairs. Lance will also personally take time out of his day to treat you like a valued customer not a nameless face that drives the car into the shop. He will explain what is wrong, what potentially can go wrong in the future, and why his prices are so reasonable compared to others around town. At no point have I felt like I m getting a cheap repair. I feel like I m getting the right repair for a friend price when I take my car to Lance. If you hate the feeling of getting ripped off on auto repairs and are looking for a mechanic that operates on a strong moral compass, then give this guy and his awesome crew a shot. I will be shocked if you walk away dissatisfied with the quality of the repair and the level of customer service.

Lance knows what he is doing, is always fair when it comes to price, and goes above and beyond when diagnosing what is wrong with your car.He repaired the control arms on my Honda Accord once and told me afterwards that everything else in the car looked great, but I probably only had another 10,000 miles on my clutch. Just over 10,000 miles later, my clutch went out. I took it back to Lance and it fixed it for hundreds less than a dealer or large shop estimated.I always recommend Lance's.

It's rare these days that the term "honest-mechanic" can be said about most auto shops around town, but Lance, Jack and the team go above and beyond that statement. They never try to sell you on parts you don't need, they explain what going on in your vehicle in clear black and white and they treat the car they're servicing like it's their own.I've been there twice now for two separate occasions, one emergancy and one regular maintenance. Both were timely, fairly priced and had solved the problem professionally.If you have a problem with your car. Go here.

I enjoyed my service being done here yesterday. I called and got a quote on brakes and rotors for my Audi A6, they called right back with the cost (which was reasonable). I dropped it off that night so they could start the next day and it was done by the time I arrived after work. They were nice and very informative on my car. I will be back for more work. I highly recommend to anyone with a foreign car to go see these guys!

Went in to get my timing belt done and a diagnostic on some movement in my engine. My original quote was hundreds lower than other foreign repair shops for the same job, the parts were especially less expensive. Eventually, I did need a lot of work done on my vehicle due to age. Their team, namely Jack, kept me readily informed and answered all my questions honestly and professionally throughout the whole process. While I did end up paying a lot more than my original estimate due to the several repairs my car needed that their technicians noticed during the diagnostic, I can only imagine what the number would have skyrocketed to at other shops, much less a dealership service. Highly recommend Lance's Foreign Auto Repair!

My head light went out yesterday and was especially difficult to change given the placement of the access to it. Since I couldn't do it myself, I called around to a few import repair shops and found that many wanted $200+ for less than hours worth of work. I called Lance's and they were able to fit me in same day AND offered a very reasonable price, without attempting to tack on unnecessary fees or upsell. Would recommend and will be back.

When you yourself is an ignorant car owner it s hard to trust any mechanic but Lance will take the time to walk you through each repair, and is honest in what needs to be immediately and what can wait. His pricing is fair - after 3 years under his care, my 120k+ Volvo is running great.

Hate to say it but until things change pretty dramatically over there I'd stay away. I don't fancy myself an expert mechanic but I know enough to get by. Lance seems to have a way of up-selling or convincing you to get more done than the problem actually needs. He is super smart, knows a lot about Rovers, and nice enough but I've multiple experiences and countless friends and family with similar experiences to say he isn't very trustworthy.More than anything you can trust their timelines. I think he may have just grown too big too fast and they cant seem to get a handle on their workload. Good for them but you gotta get someone in there who is a manager. Simple things that should take days take months. Seriously, months. And once you get your car in there don't even expect to get them on the phone because they wont answer, return your call, update you on why it's taken so much longer, etc. They have never once come close to meeting their estimated completion for me or anyone I know. I can't understand that.I've had my Rover in there at least 10 times and had 3-4 friends/family bring theirs in several times and this is the pattern. I'm not basing this on one bad experience. I like the dude enough, if he can get honest and get things under control over there I wish him the best.

Trustworthy is the word I would use for service at Lance's Foreign Auto Repair. Our Lexus was making horrible noise, we called around about half a dozen service facilities specializing in foreign auto repair-including both the dealership in town. Jessica at Lance's gave us a quote on the phone for changing all three belts- a possible remedy for the problem as well the time that they would need our car in the repair shop. Everything just turned out the way they told us on the phone, on top of that they checked the car for any other possible issues. Richard who serviced our car is honest and and provided good useful information about the car.Thank you Lance's Auto for taking care of our car. We certainly will be back for any car repair needs.

I recommend Lance's Foreign Auto Repair to everyone I know! They have always been upfront and honest about what my car needs, never up-selling. This shop was recommended to me after failed attempts at other foreign repair shops and immediately fixed my issue, at an honest and reasonable rate.

Lance was recommended by my Rover Mecanic. He got me in and out quickly and the Price was great . Definitely will be doing business with him. Highly recommend this Shop for any Range Rover repair. Way better than the Stealership.

Finally, I've found a trustworthy shop in my neighborhood. I've taken my 4th gen Honda Prelude by them on two separate occasions now, both experiences were excellent. Wanted to note; on my most recent visit 7/8/14, I told them over the phone that I was certain that I needed a new alternator (for all I knew, mine was bad). About an hour after dropping the car off, I get a call from the mechanic. He said the alternator was fine, that it just needed a minor repair and a new car battery. I was able to pick the prelude up just in time to drive it to work. He charged me for the battery only! My main point, I believe just about any other shop in this area would have just put a new alternator and charged me an arm and a leg.The guys at Lances' honesty and great service will keep my business as long as I'm here in Nashville.

I don't normally rate businesses on the first try, this is the exception. They have had my vehicle for almost a year with $3400.00 paid. Still waiting for the work to be completed. Put it this way, they have had my vehicle before moving to the new location. I'm wondering if they are holding my vehicle hostage at this point. I have been more than patient. I can't get them to commit to a firm completion date.

The worst communication I ve ever experienced at a business. They have had my Defender for MONTHS and every single time I call to ask about it, they tell me they will have to call me back. I have literally NEVER received a call back, and after going through this pattern dozens of times, they have yet to even tell me what s even wrong with the vehicle. I m telling you, this is the worst customers service I have ever seen. Oh, and this is AFTER they were paid 15k to rebuild the vehicle engine... we drove it for less than a month and it stopped working. All in all they ve had this vehicle for over two years and STILL getting any answers out of them is like pulling teeth. If I ever get the car back it will never go back to Lance s again.

Lance is the only person in town you should be taking your RR/LR to for maintenance and/or repair. Super nice, very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He has a great rep among the community and it's well deserved!
