You get what you pay for. AES is busy and requires appointments to get service done because they know what they're doing so they're in demand. I was pleased with the quality of communication, work, and turnaround time.

They were very professional. Diagnosed it within 24 hours. Ended up being the dash cluster needed to be rebuilt. They face me a time frame of 2 weeks and were spot on and had my truck ready. I noticed a few little things they did they were not required. Very pleased and would recommend any day. Some may say they are pricey but I ve had electrical issues for a while and had countless mechanics try and trace the issue. You pay for the art and skill and for the professional services! Thanks for your great work AESService: Electrical

I'd steer well clear...these guys charged me 270 dollars to diagnose a failed temperature sending unit and replace (25 dollar part, few turns of a socket). They said this took them an hour and a half (chuckles). This was only after declining their bill for an additional 350 dollars on top to change a friggin thermostat and drain/refill the coolant... wont be back, sorry.

I am extremely worried that the negative reviews may be true...I called today just to schedule an appointment and a man answered the phone at AES @ 8:01 a.m. with "yes..." I had to ask him if I reached AES because I have never heard of a company not identifying their company. I will follow up with the rest of my review in a week or so

Not too happy I chose this shop to take my car to over others after deliberating over many other competitors because I am new in this area. The couple times they answered my calls I received a yep as a greeting, I also paid 260 for a diagnostic just to have it be incorrect the first time and my car break down on the way to work and also back to the shop to get it fixed again. I was hoping for some sort of discount for my inconvenience but instead was met with 0 customer service skills and no agreement on price change. Would not recommend going here there are many other places with lower diagnostic fees that ll get to the root of the problem faster.Service: Electrical

Climate control and a few other electrical components had quit working. If I couldn't get this fixed, I was going to have to get rid of the vehicle and I did NOT want to do that. One shop had told me already that it could not be fixed due to parts availability. AES not only was able to get the part/s, but they fixed the problem in the timeline I needed it fixed. Yes, it was expensive. My car is older now so parts issues are becoming "a thing". This is not AES's fault. I was happy to pay the bill, knowing my vehicle and I could continue our journey together! Thanks AES!Service: Electrical

Only a phone call, but they were helpful and honest. I am looking to rewire a 70's Dodge and they don't do that.

The starter went out on my 08 Pontiac G6 they over charged me like crazy. I could buy the starter at parts store for $199 they charged me $459 and $700 in labor for a job that only calls for 1 hour book time. Don t use this place they will just rip you off like they did me

I brought in my mazda 3 into the team and the guys there were able to determine the real issue of my car and not what the issue i originally had. they explained it to me and offered me a fair price for fixing it. very happy i went with them to fix my car and if youre car is having issues for the first time, feel confident that these guys can evaluate and fix it and will be fair in pricing. i would recommend you consider them as a service provide for your car. thank you guys!

Dropped my vehicle off for repairs. Was told it would take a couple of weeks to get to it. After a month of not hearing back from anyone I stopped by the shop and was told they were really busy. They needed a space to park my car so they could do the repairs. I was told it would be next week before they could start. A few more weeks go by and I call only to be told they still haven't started and it would be a couple more weeks. This went on for almost 5 months. I never received one phone call or any updates. I called 4 times and went by their shot 3 times. Heard the same thing every time but also noticed they had actually lived my vehicle to the back of the lot to make room for other vehicles. When they moved it they damaged my side mirror and hood scoop. I finally had to get me vehicle towed back home after finally giving up on this incompetent company. I have never dealt with anyone that just did not care about taking care of a customer. Do not use them for anything and save yourself a lot of wasted time and frustration.Service: Electrical

Jon and Adrian where very transparent with me letting me know that they did not think they could accurately diagnose my corvette, since it had some performance mods and a tune on the car, they didn't charge me anything and gave me as much help as they could to make sure I could get it to a shop that had the proper tools to diagnose and fix the issue. Thanks again AES!Service: Electrical

My husband and I had an issue with the electrical system in our Honda. Our mechanic suggested this place and we are so glad he did. Our car is just about 20 years old. Although they are not inexpensive, the service and work was worth the price and more. Matthew and John, along with Carolyn were honest and up front with us about varied possibilities. This, in itself is unusual! I would recommend AES to anyone who wants an honest and personal approach to car repair. Rev. Dr. Abby and Pastor Glenn Burke , Antioch TNService: Electrical

It was horrible! I was subjected to price gauging, for some reason! The tech, John , charged me $518 to fix my driver side headlight. I have Never written a review about a business that I have dealt with before. But I couldn't help but to do so in this experience. It seems to me, that the techs rent bay space and can charge whatever they want. I have every intention to take this to the Better business Bureau and further even. Save ur peace of mind and some money. Do not even call or go to AES.Service: Electrical

These guys are the real deal. I was recommended to AES by a local mechanic I usually go to after he could not figure out why my tail lights wouldn t work. Not only did they get my problem solved in the same day I dropped my car off, they were cheaper than I expected! Now other jobs may differ depending on the extent of the issue, but mine was solved quickly. I will be a loyal customer on anything electrical to these guys in the future. Thanks AES!

I manage a used dealership here in Nashville. While we do have our own shop and very good technicians, we find ourselves lacking in the same computer technology they have here at AES.They have been consistently the most reliable and helpful shop in the area. While some may complain about the prices being a little high for their taste; we keep our mouths shut because we KNOW it will get fixed Correctly & Fast! They are great people and extremely diligent in what they do. I deal with John & Matthew and I'd suggest you do the same. Thanks!

Much of the same complaints as listed in previous one star reviews. Zero (Literally zero communication) I think it was about 5 weeks before I finally did call and asked about my truck and basically just got a, don t call us, we ll call you vibe. So the part that they finally determined was bad they basically said, we re not going to find this for you because we don t like the way it s remanufactured and we don t want to have to be liable for it if it breaks. Fair enough. I find one on eBay and bring it to them December 27th. I finally reach out February 14th and I m like, hi there, any news ? Yeah yeah, John will call you later today He didn t. I call back the next day and finally get John and he says, your part seems good but you ve got other problems. Fair enough. At this point, I m not gonna have them fix it they ll just have it for 5 more months. I go to pick it up and say, what s the warranty situation like on this? Just paid $500 and what if I get out on the highway and this truck starts doing the exact same thing? John, shrugs, looks at me deadass straight face and says get another ECM I guess. Guy pulls it out and it s barely idling and he says, its about out of gas, you ll need some Pull out of the gas station and what do you think happens? Oh yeah, it starts having the same symptoms that I brought it there for initially. I don t recall ever leaving a bad review for anything in my life but I ve also never experienced this level of terrible service before either. Anyway, that was my experience with AES.Service: Electrical

Best auto electrical shop in Nashville hands down and price is very reasonable. I wanted to wait to make sure my problem was fixed before I wrote a review and 3 month, 4000 miles later I am very happy! I've wasted over $400 before knowing about this place and purchased a new car bc I didn't know what to do about my owned vehicle problems, thankfully now my teenager drives this car, 2008 Ford Fusion. Found out that someone who worked on my wheels before cut a line dealing with my transmission, Adrian explained the issues (it was several. even dealing with my rebuilt transmission) and the repairs very well. Very honest people and in the future if I am unfortunate to ever have an electrical issue again I will definitely return.

175.00 dollars for them to tell me what I already knew! The "receptionist" wouldn't let me talk to a mechanic insisting she could evaluate. After fully explaining my ELECTRICAL problem she "ASSURED"me I would get answers! Made appointment, dropped car off for John to tell me I need a fuel pump 950.00 I was Well aware I needed a fuel pump! I live in South Nashville, I could get a fuel pump fixed @ half that around the corner!!! It was in for evaluation about my electrical issue that I fully completely explain to the receptionist that insisted I would get the answers I need!!! 175.00 later & how convenient that the evaluation cost is equivalent to how much it would cost for me to take them to small claims court

Took my car here to have a non-working odometer diagnosed. I told them when dropping it off that I had already replaced the odometer gears. They charged me $107 to tell me what I already knew. Said they put the car on a "scanner" and test drove it. Bull. I'd love to make $107 an hour to tell customers absolutely nothing. Second time now this place has been a huge disappointment. Shame on me. Should have known better. When you walk through the front doors you can tell a lot about a place. Should have trusted my gut.

Top quality service! Excellent customer service, and professional technicians. My go-to garage for anything auto electrical related. I drive an older vehicle and it's my sole transportation so the availability of a reliable, trustworthy service provider is essential. I've utilized AES in the past, will continue to do so in the future and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

I had 3 different mechanics look at my Dodge Durango, and none of them could tell me why all the lights were coming on.... after having AES look at my car, they told me it was most likely an abs module, which would have cost around $1000 to get replaced. I said sure, as long as it will fix the problem. However, after talking to me they made sure that was the true issue by checking all the connections, and they found it was just a hidden fuse!!!! They only charged me a small diagnostic fee around $140, when they could have charged me for the Module. I HIGHLY Recommend this place! Best shop in Nashville BY FAR! Well worth the wait! There is a reason that they are booked out on appointments... because they rock!

Sometimes, well actually most times, I see bad reviews from shops I KNOW do great work it really bothers me.Much of it is internet sniping.A few years back my wife's Chevy Cavalier (a POS if there ever was one) had some "electrical issues" and being that "the computer had been submerged under water" (it had been very stormy) and the first shop told me that was the problem charging me $75 for that "Diagnostics". I bought a "preprogrammed" after market piece and put it in myself as I had worked on my own stuff for almost 40 years.WRONG MOVE!!Took it to AES and got the car back the next day. The engine had to be replaced. They did not even charge me the customary 1 hour minimum shop charge! They found the problem in 15 minutes and if I remember right they charged me $20. They were apologizing for the mistakes I had made!! I could not believe it. They explained why my original compression test had not caught the problem as sometimes it had compression and sometimes not. Very strange but they took THEIR TIME to explain why I missed it!! They were kind and very straight talking. I replaced the engine myself with help from friends.I took the car back to them for a second problem and was, again treated very well. They did great work and charged me a reasonable fee. What more can you ask?Just a word about their people "Standing around". I have been dealing with shops for almost 50 years now and when you find the busy ones (good shops usually) from the places that are not worth your time it is something to cherish. AES is worth every penny. Finding a shop worth dealing with is not always easy and can be expensive (as I found with the first shop). As age catches up with us all I can not do work I did myself anymore. I would not hesitate a bit to take a car to these folks.
