Wow! This was hands down the worst experience I ve ever had at a car repair shop. Brad, my first point of contact made me feel confident they would work to help me. I unfortunately never spoke with him again. Rob, was my next and last point of contact and he did not leave me with the same feeling Brad did. The lack of communication throughout the whole process was bothersome. My situation involved working with a warranty company. After it was all said and done the shop DID NOT have my best interest. Not only did I have to wait for weeks to get a resolution but the attitude I received from them toward the end was extremely unprofessional. My repair was $$$$. I called several shops to get estimates on the repair, Aamco had the highest price and longest wait time. In the end, I had my car towed to a different shop because I did not feel comfortable getting my car repaired there. As a woman I felt somewhat belittled and would not suggest you go there!

One of the worst experiences I ve ever had. Was told it would be ready on a certain day. I Came the next business day and told the part hadn t arrived. My mistake for not calling ahead. Guy at place though was so rude. My check engine light has now come on and I really don t want to go back there. The other thing that was so stupid in my opinion is that when I checked out they tell me there is a fee for debit or credit card. Who brings a $1,000 cash to pay for their repair.

Brad, Rob, and the rest of the guys did an amazing job diagnosing and repairing the transmission on my Honda Ridgeline. Even through a major snowstorm that made parts delivery difficult they persevered and got me back on the road. It has been running great since!

Jason and the AAMCO crew went above and beyond to make sure my transmission issues were fixed and were extremely accommodating. With scheduling vehicular pick up. Very transparent for all the work they were doing and great price. Also very communicative. I would highly recommend AAMCO

Jason and his crew took care of me. They tried options that wouldn't cost me as much first, and when we had to go the expensive route (replace transmission) they worked hard to get it done in the time he promised, even though things outside of his control was pushing him to delivering later. He was in good communication with me the whole time and I felt like he really cared. I will definitely go back here in the future when I need work done on my car.

Took a Jeep there for some possible warranty issues with a used part that was installed previously. Jason at the counter was and has been absolutely fantastic to deal with. Very disappointed with my experience here. They were going to charge me 7-8 thousand dollars for a repair and I decided to get a second opinion. I ended up taking my car to a different repair shop and got it fixed for only 500 dollars. I bet they make the majority of their revenue on diagnostic fees since very few people can afford such outrageous fees.

I was visiting Nashville from Michigan when I experienced transmission problems. I had my vehicle towed here and spoke to Jason. He was honest, sincere, and went above and beyond my expectations. Due to logistics and timing, I was unable to have them do the actual repair, but the customer service was great. If I didn't have to return home so soon, or if I was a local, I would have had them complete the work. Thanks again Jason.Service: Transmission

I am so grateful for Jason and his team. Not only were they upfront and honest with my repairs, they went the extra mile to communicate with my warranty company (Silverrock).The warranty company initially sent a faulty transmission to Aamco and instead of just installing the replacement, Jason and his team called the warranty company and advocated for a better replacement. Throughout the process, Jason kept me updated. He equipped me with the information necessary to have productive conversations with Silverrock, so the issue could be resolved on the claims/warranty side.My family and I were in the process of moving, and Aamco worked tirelessly to make sure we had our car in time for our move. I highly recommend this Aamco location. Not only are they honest and professional, they make sure their customers are safe and satisfied with their work. Jason and his team are amazing!

UPDATE for Brad: The response you sent is a bold faced lie, and I would be happy to point them out for future customers so they do not waste money with your service. This is just being responded to now, because I was not notified of your comment on this post 3 weeks ago.1. You did not contact the warranty company, I did, since you did not know the name of the warranty company. Even after I hand wrote the information for said warranty for you not to even contact.2. If there was a lift inspection, why was my muffler and exhaust system not inspected for leaks? The muffler fell off less than one week later due to rust deterioration that surely would have been seen on a lift inspection.3. I was not told any information regarding the horn until the second phone call, when your associate Brad became hostile when I asked for proof of what was actually inspected.4. The bill was waived when Brad told me "how about instead of the $120, you pick your car up and never bring it back here again?" To which I happily agreed based on his outright lying and terrible attitude.5. I was not given a bill to be paid, based on Brad's reaction when I asked him to tell me what was actually inspected.You had the opportunity to make this right, and instead accused customer of lying on a public forum. Terrific business.Original Post:I drive a 2014 Subaru Impreza, and the clutch was replaced in September 2022 by this AAMCO. The car started driving abnormally, so I brought it back to this AAMCO. I asked to have the clutch, the horn, and total car inspected per my warranty and dropped it off on March 30. I have the ProGuard Warranty that was purchased with the car.Brad called me to let me know the clutch was fine, but that the transmission differentials should be serviced and that I would be looking at about a $450 maintenance job. I asked if he could run that by the warranty company to see if they would cover it, and he shortly after told me that they would not. When I informed him that I would not do the service today, he told me the inspection fee (for the test drive they took) would be $125 plus tax.I called him back after a few minutes and asked what was actually inspected. He did not know the terms of my warranty and what items would be covered, so they were clearly not inspected. He also didn't mention my horn at all. I told him I. don't understand paying $125 when none of the things I requested were inspected. Brad then told me that he didn't have the terms of my warranty and how could he look at it, to which I replied that I left the website information and my tier of coverage, where he can see all items that are covered outlined. I told Brad he was giving me excuses today and if he needed that information yesterday he should have said something. Brad then told me he would wipe the bill clean and that I was no longer welcome back at his AAMCO, as if after this experience I would go back to his shop anyway. I brought this car back as a repeat customer, and I am pretty disappointed in the experience.I have no intentions of bringing my business back to this location, or referring any other customers to this business.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

JR and the team took care of us when we thought we lost our transmission on the way to Bonnaroo. Not only were they honest that the transmission was fine they troubleshoot our engine code issues, ran for parts, and got us to the show on time! My only wish is that they were in our town. Excellent Service!! First Impression is everything ..My 1st meeting with Brad and Josh set the tone for the entire transaction. They both are Very knowledgeable, professional , personable and patient, which put me at ease with the expensive decision I had to make. They gave me lots of information before I made a decision and I never felt pressured or felt like I was being taken advantage of . I thought my transmission was going out. They did all the diagnostic test and turns out all it needed was a new battery. They topped off my transmission fluid and my total bill was 14 bucks! Can't beat it. The manager Josh was so nice and charming. He seemed to act as if everyone that came in was family. Felt like I was back in my little hometown and not in the middle of Nashville. Definitely recommend this place.Service: Transmission

I walked in with no appointment after having stopped by two other, less accommodating places. I needed immediate repair so I could continue my trip. The manager, Josh, understood my urgency. The Tech, Allen, was able to fit me in quickly, without bumping his other obligations. The fix was quick. They did not want to charge me, I forced a generous tip on Allen. Josh is absolutely one the very best customer service people I have ever dealt with on any level. Every single time I called him, he knew who I was and easily told me the status of my vehicle. I have driven it quite a distance already, and I can say this 2016 model drives better in 2022 than it ever has. I would put it up against any brand new car.Service: Transmission

I've had my transmission replaced by AAMCO as well as my steering column repaired, and both times they didn't disappoint. Brad has a very nice and professional voice over the phone. When I first dealt with this company I thought they were going to try and over charge me because I was a woman, but they quickly put my mind at ease. They didn't try to charge me for things I didn't need, they took care of my car quickly, and I thank all of them for that! My transmission went out when I was getting ready to move (to FLA) talked w Jeff (nicest guy), he advised me of the cost and repair time. Fortunately, for me, I had another vehicle to drive, and he expertly handled my issue of waiting 6 weeks to do the job (I didn't want him to store it that long), when I called for the job to be done, he gave me the # for the tow company (Co-op Towing, John was great too) and had my vehicle ready when I arrived back in town. I've now driven my van for 1500 miles and haven't had any issues.Thank goodness for good people.

You'll lose. I did.Aside from "rebuilding" my transmission to save himself money (not me) when we had no miscommunication i wanted it replaced with a factory remanufactured unit (yeah he's got some nerve hat's off) they had an accident in the parking lot so now my front bumper is damaged

Didn t even look at my car. Told me there was nothing at all wrong with it yet when I took it to another shop right after, they found several things. Plus dude has a bad attitude and really shouldn t tell his customers that he s not concerned with cars that have warranties and that he will get to them last. Do not recommend. Just saying.

This is my first time doing business with AAMCO. They seem to be very busy considering my car was there for close to 3 weeks. I let AAMCO know that there were popping noice when I drive my car and reverse especially when I turn the steering wheel when I dropped it off. When I went to pick my vehicle up on 2/7/2023 and later that day i backed my car up to reverse there was still popping noise. I immediately called AAMCO to let them know I was still having the same problem they mentioned that it could be my cv axle or something about the cv. AAMCO did a diagnostic to clean port and also said my lower control arm needed replacing. They said that was what caused the popping noise when driving in reverse or backing up. My vehicle still has the same issue as before the lower arm control was put on. This service has been paid for by Protect My Car minus my 30% deduction and I still have the same problem. So far the cleanport which is another service they provided is good thus far I paid in full. I was hoping and trusting that the lower control arm would have fix the problem but it did not. This is my feedback and concern. I had confident that this diagnostic was correct but it did not fix the problem concerning the lower control arm as causing the popping noise.

Cannot recommend Josh and the team at AAMCO enough. He went above and beyond to fix our car and was so great with communication every step of the way. If we ever have any more car problems then we know exactly where to take it!

Paid them over 4000 for a transmission that they said was the best I could get. Here I am less than 15 months later - need a new transmission and they tell me too bad - I'm out of luck because while the warranty is still good time wise - I am 2000 miles over. I'm so appreciative of the work done by the folks at AAMCO in Nashville. Over the past two years, I've had several problems with my old car, and the service I've received has been thorough and complete. This is just the latest visit and again, they did their best to address all my concerns. The most impressive thing is how they stand by their guarantees with a positive attitude and smile. Great folks!

Being 19 year old girl not from Tennessee, I was cautious in finding a place to bring my car to. I came to this AAMCO because someone I know from home owns an AAMCO and I thought they would be trustworthy like his business is. I came in for an oil change, a new break light, and to check out a noise my car was making. I told them to call me before doing ANY work to confirm with me and they didn't. The noise ended up being something small and I was not charged because it was an easy fix. My bill still came out to $171, just for the oil change and the break light (I provided the light). After looking at my bill I saw that I was charged $55 for putting the break light in and $90 for my oil change. They put synthetic oil in my car without even asking me at all. My car is a 2011 Nissan Versa and if you're gonna guess at the type of oil to put in it, its definitely not synthetic. I had to call the shop multiple separate times to get updates on my car and every time Brad said he would call me right back, he never did. The woman behind the counter was extremely nice and helpful. I really can't help but feel like I was taken advantage of, which is the exact thing I was afraid of. Disappointed

I saw the snapon trick outside the shop while at a nearby business. Have always wanted to check out one of those trucks and decided to go take a look inside, two of the AAMCO shop guys were inside looking around and both were very kind to me. That s all. Guys seem cool and did no kind of trash talking of anybody they were providing service for.

Brad is a pretty straight shooter. I took my car in for a new transmission, but they diagnosed a couple other safety issues that needed to be addressed. They were costly repairs, but my car is running much better and quieter than before. Brad did his best to work with me and was sensitive to my anxiety about having to spend so much money. I would recommend this shop.
