I was traveling with my family cross-country when our car started overheating in Tennessee. Thankfully, the hotel manager recommended Cumberland Auto Repair. I arrived when they opened and was amazed by their helpfulness. They quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue, getting us back on the road by lunch. I only wish I lived in the area to make them my go-to repair shop. Exceptional service!

These guys are great! They took the time to ensure the issues (which were unique) I was having with my car were fixed and taken care of. Definitely would recommend them!

WATCH OUT! THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY! Came in with a low voltage to knock sensor on my truck, they wanted $845 to replace the wire harness and Knock sensors..I thought the price was high so I looked up how much a kit was and with ACDelco a OEM GM PART, two knock sensors are $160 and the wire harness is $80, plus two gaskets which is a few bucks so i figure the price was more reasonable until i called to confirm what kind of parts they were going to use, they ended up using Dorman aftermarket parts that kit is only $120 for everything besides gaskets when I had asked why it s $845 when they are using a much cheaper kit..they said the price dropped too $707 they never called or told me that the price was less when they just quoted me the day before..I ended up going with it because I needed my truck back they had it for two days already at this point when I got the truck back nothing was fixed. My truck still had a check engine light and it still had the same code. When I got my receipt it did not tell me the kind of parts that they used on my truck, even though i already knew the kind of parts . It was very unspecific, and I don t believe they even changed the gaskets that needed to be changed because it was not on the list. They wanted to charge me an additional $450 for a PCM, they said they would try to help me out and only charge me for the part not labor.. when I looked up the part that they re using the part was only $310 when I mentioned that to him, he told me that he needed to charge me for them putting the software on the PCM .isnt that labor?? I refused, and will be taking my truck somewhere else. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

This was my second visit to Cumberland Auto Repair and it will be the only shop I go to from now on! Honest, fair pricing, and they don't "treat me like a girl" when I speak with them about what my vehicle needs. I have a 93 Mazda Miata they diagnosed and fixed for me after 3 other shops in Lebanon basically told me they wouldn't be able to work on my car.The vehicle we had in for repair today is also older, a 98 Toyota Forerunner. They had to search for parts, but they TOOK THE TIME to do it, instead of just turning me away and telling me about the supply chain problems. This shop lives up to the work ethic that I live by in my own job....I recommend them highly! Thank you for caring about your work and the safety of your customers!!Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Auto brake repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto brake replacement, Oil change

My 2009 Nissan would not start after several attempts so I had it towed to Cumberland Auto Repair. The next day they called me and said that my car started with no issues. They went on to check my battery, starter, fuel system, and other things, but could not find the problem. They asked if they could keep it another day just to keep turning it on and off to make sure there wasn't a problem. I picked it up this morning and they didn't even charge a diagnostic fee. Then the guy went to get it from the back and saw my tire light was on and checked the pressure to make sure it was ok before giving it to me. They could have easily told me something was wrong with my car and charged me - I never would have know. Honesty goes a long way with me and I will always go to Cumberland Auto from now on. On top of being honest, everyone was very friendly. I also appreciated being assured that I am not "crazy" and that other cars have been towed there that would not start for the owners, but started immediately for them at the shop. I highly recommend this establishment.

Took my o5 Mustang GT to get the rear differential rebuilt August of last year. They said they rebuilt it. They did not. They cheated me. I brought the car back last year a few days after the " repair ".and complained of grinding noise in diff. and they said they checked and it was OK. It was not. they did not rebuild it right or did nothing to it. The grinding noise got worse. Brought it back a month later and told them the noise is louder. they said they fixed it. they did not. Car is a year out of shop. Grinding noise is way louder and can't hear radio over the noise. I do auto repair myself, but have retired. I know by expereince it is not right.. they would not honor year guarantee on work. This place is a rip -off shop. Don't take anything to them. You will get cheated.!!!!!!!!!!! I now have to spend another $2800 to get it built right!!!!!!!!

Dropped off my 06 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7 HEMI to have the starter replaced. It had been very intermittent for months. When they couldn't get it to act up they actually called and made sure I still wanted it replaced. Most places wouldn't have cared and just took the money. That speaks volumes to me about the character of the shop owner and workers. Will definitely be using them in the future while in the area.

They were the first of the 10 repair places I called who were actually willing to fix my truck! They were courteous and professional and did a good job. I took the truck back a few days later when Valvoline refused to change the oil (???) and got me squared away again. Too bad I'm from out of town, or they'd be my go-to mechanic .Services: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioningServices: General repairs & maintenance, Air conditioning

I have been here twice with my 1996 Dodge Ram 1500. Customer service is great, and the work was done in a timely manner. The first time I needed my truck back the same day I went in, and they worked me in and got it done. I actually picked it up after they closed, which only means someone stayed after to make sure I got it back the same day... I am very appreciative of the people and the work they do.Thanks guys.!!

Did a good job on my intake gasket replacement, but when they put my distributor back in it was off a tooth and has been missing for two years, didn't drive much because of miss, finally went to another mechanic, and he found the problem, tried taking it back there after the gasket replacement and they told me it needed tune-up. I already did that, but they said they had to do it because of my inexperience, hmmmm, won't go back unless I absolutely have too.

Joe Clere, owner of Cumberland Automotive is a great man. Very honest. You dont have to worry about being ripped off here. I use him for repairs on my whole fleet and for my personal vehicles as well. Highly recommended. I've used him probably 25 times in the last 2 years.

Would not recommend this shop at all I had them replace a water pump on my truck when I got my truck back my ac was not working at all and it worked awesome before them making the repair they made well I bring it right back the next morning stating the ac wouldn t work if they would take a look at it to make sure nothing was wrong or anything like that they assured me they hadn t touched anything to do with the ac so I left to go check the Freon it was fine so It took me 2 months to put the funds aside to have another shop look at my ac to find out this shop simply didn t put the ac compressor belt back on so I had no ac for 2 months because this place simply wouldn t even look to check absolutely horrible customer service and to think what else are they forgetting to put back on peoples cars
