Love this store! We stayed nearby & were able to walk here for breakfast. It was a bacon, egg, & cheese sourdough biscuit that was to die for! Later that evening, we went here for dinner/show, which was so much fun. It felt like stepping back in time, and the bluegrass music was excellent! Can't wait to come back!

This little town has it all. Such character! And the live music here at Sutton General Store is the best of the best. Great music, great food, great atmosphere!

Took a trip back in time in the city of Grainville, Tennessee today and it was as it was some yrs ago just quite and peaceful and very enjoyable. If you want to go back in time to a beautiful era this is the place I recommend.. plus if you trail ride this is a beautiful area around the lake for beginners and advanced riders. Love the beautiful outdoors here.... A must see town...

A group of us stopped by and ate lunch At Sutton s recently. Very nice people and excellent food that s fairly priced. An amazing number of antiques on display and great souvenirs. The ladies that work here are very nice and helpful. This quaint little community is truly a step back in time. Stop by and enjoy it sometime! Remember, this community is motorcycle friendly! Motorcycles are welcome!

I could see how this might be heaven for someone who enjoys knick knacks. My wife and I don't buy anything that we wouldn't want to carry around with us for the rest of our lives, so for us the allure wasn't there. However .. The quaint authenticity of this place was phenomenal. We were also there on Friday night when they had live music and it was amazing dare I say extraordinary. The dinner was.. dinner. Homestyle cooking .. something you might have made for yourself and your family. It will be very good, but unless you've lived a very sheltered life it will not be a culinary experience of a lifetime. The staff was amazing and we really enjoyed our time here. A hometown experience .. Tennessee's Mayberry.

What an awesome experience. The history, the food and finally the live Bluegrass music. Everyone needs to go check this out. For $20 per person this is an awesome deal and experience.

We decided to stop here on our trip to the mountains, figured it would be a great place to stop and stretch our legs for a bit. This little town is so cute! It was like stepping back in time. The general store reminded me of child hood days gone by. They serve food in the general store and it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. We are planning to stop here everytime we travel to the mountains.

Wonderful home style meal, was like a 2nd Thanksgiving. Beautiful building, what a rich history this place has and partly fun by some real dedicated volunteers. What a wonderful hidden gem

Absolutely Love this Place and the Food is Always So good especially the Meatloaf. The Town is Beautifu, so Peaceful and very Mayberry. I'd pay rent to just walk the Peaceful Streets and enjoy the peace and views.

We visited about a year ago. We had paid in advance for the dinner/show. At no point did it EVER specify when we needed to arrive for dinner. We showed up about 45 minutes before the radio show started. The woman at the front barked, "YOU'RE LATE." Wow what a nice welcome. How about you communicate and tell people when they need to be there? We ate and walked around the store. There is absolutely NO reason for someone to be there one hour+ prior. Silly silly silly. Then, we were supposed to have "reserved" seats for the radio show. Low and behold our names were nowhere to be found. We enquired with the oh so lovely person at the front who told us to just sit upstairs. Not a great experience. Food was good and we enjoyed the music but staff needs some real work.

In this area must take the full tour ($7 per person) everything here is historical. Is so quiet and everyone is so friendly. This is a must for that little weekend get away. Don't feel like driving back home? No issues there is a bed and breakfast place there too!

A really unique and special place to visit. A little bit of everything for everybody. We highly recommend making reservations for the Bluegrass Hour and supper. It takes place every Saturday and is an unforgettable experience!

a return visit but this time for a dinner & show about Andy Griffin TV show. Food was good & had a person sharing the Store history. Then a short walk to another building where we all watch the play. All local volunteers act in it as well as do the set changes. All in all it was a fun evening.

The whole town has businesses that are working together to make the visit a real pleasant experience. I recommend this to people of all ages. Car museum, farming museum, log cabin, quilt shop and bakery. History museum and food at the general store. AWESOME!

Such a beautiful drive to get here! The town is beautiful and well taken care of. The $5 town tour is well worth the price. Sutton's is beautifully preserved and not to mention how great the food always is. That meatloaf is amazing!!! We love the town so much we even go on Sundays just to sit at the park and admire the views of the lake!

What a wonderful place! Grab a bite, check out the store, get ready to tour the quaint village of Granville!! The history is wonderful, the volunteers are very informative. I can't say enough about the various attractions. The Jim Beam decanter museum was phenomenal, I couldn't believe it. The broom workshop was amazing as to how they make their own brooms, and can't keep up with demand. Come check out their fall festivities!!!

Sutton is a step back in time-in a tiny but charming town.the store is a 2 story authentic old building with creaky wood floors and in and of its self would be worth a stop.a interesting selection of gift items, and a limited but terrific lunch counter make for a great family outing..the chicken salad is really yummy and the shakes-outstanding!check ahead- hours are limited also most shops in town- only a few- are only open wed.- sat.give or take .call to be sure. Drive is also very pretty.nice small city park at the end of the street with water access ,swings to sit and relax and watch boats go by.

This is a very interesting little place. There are all kind of things to see. From cookbooks and pillows, to Christmas ornaments (it's April) and fabric. I'm sure I missed things that would have been interesting. I heard the milkshakes were incredible but I was there during a festival so they weren't serving those. I did have the chicken salad on a sandwich and it was delicious. Everyone we encountered either working or volunteering was very helpful and nice. Not that you stumble into a place like Granville, but you should find a festival or something to attend and go! You won't regret it.

Set up Mayberry USA with an interesting tour of the shops and the restaurant was great. If you're an Andy and barney fan then u have to go there.

We enjoyed our day in the town of Granville and Sutton's store was just one of the places we visited. We did eat there and I had the barbecue plate. The barbecue was straight out of a can I believe, certainly nothing to brag about. I didn't see anything in the store that would make me want to visit a second time.

This is a really neat step back in time General Store with decoration as you may have seen in movies. The best part of it is you can get a fantastic meal here. It is not handicap accessible but it does have toilets. It is a Historic Landmark and the service is really good. Also there is a walking history tour through several buildings available.
