Bought a thermostat with the gasket in the package ,got home no gasket we went back to the store and they said it doesn't come with one even after I showed them the box plainly said thermostat with gasket.The older tall guy said well it doesn't come with one I don't know why theyPut that on the box and then accused me of just wanting to argue, I am thinking the reason I am getting aggravated is because he seems to think I am an idiot and trying to sell us a gasket at a marked down price , they finally gave us a gasket,I own a business as well and I do not think we will be buying anything there anymore.

ABOVE AND BEYOND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!I was traveling through TN in Oct. 2023 and my battery light came on in Cookeville, TN. I got off the highway and pulled into Advance Auto. They checked and my fairly new alternator was bad. I put it on so I decided to take that one off and put on the new one. When I carried the bad one in they told me it wasn t one of their brand. Confused, I went out and checked the glovebox and found the receipt from one of their competitors. THEY GAVE ME A RIDE DOWN AND BACK TO GET THE REPLACEMENT!!! And eventually when they weren t so busy a young man came out and helped me finish up the installation. Thank goodness good people like this still exist in small town America!!! If you are in or around Cookeville, TN and need auto parts and good service, this Advance Auto is the place to go.

Looking for odd part for old truck from 80s. We never did find it but lady helping me did everything she could without complaint and made it an amusing search instead. Been here before and got good aid then too

Went in to buy a wiper blade. After requesting their free install service, the clerk acted like I was bothering him and even got aggressive. And this guy was the store manager.Save yourself some headaches and go to Auto Zone. These people need to take some customer service classes.

Waiting in line forever and the people were not said they had the product I was looking for went back to get it and came back and said they had to order it need more employees service was absolutely horrible

Terrible experience here today. My battery light was on so I went where they advertise battery installation, but was treated like I was bothering them and that I didn't know if I needed a battery or not. They offered for me to buy a battery and take it "to a shop around here somewhere" to have it installed. It would have been nice if they acted like they even cared that they couldn't help me. The bad thing is they weren't even busy. Napa saved the day. I would have been on the side of the road any minute because my battery had nothing left in it. Napa is the real mvp.

Got a greeting as I entered and asked if I needed help and I ask where what I wanted was and I was told and thanked for my business. And told to have a great day!

Jon installed my battery for me after Walmart in algood refused service saying my car was too old. He was helpful, informative, and good to talk to. It reminded me of years ago going to an old school battery shop where the guys were good and so was the work. Service was excellent, fast, and to the point.

Usually have what I need but sometime they got to order it, be nice if they could boost up their stock some though. I know there are alot of different parts and take up space but maybe they can get most the common parts that are common on automobile issues. Other than that

After telling us we had a bad battery and giving us a price of $80 for a new one, we hesitantly bought one. It was $100. Was not the problem at all. And refused to return the battery. We never left the lot because vehicle would not stay running. Manager was arrogant and cocky. Treated me as though I was stupid. I will never go back there. Only stopped there because we literally drove 10mph a block from work to get there. Had a 2 year old and he could not have cared any less about us as humans. So now we have a new battery we didn't need. And took my sons pay. Hope he feels good about himself.

This place and the workers there are awesome. It was nice going to a place that hired and respected veterans. I was very grateful that the gentleman helping me not once had an issue with .e knowing as much as he did about my diesel truck. He was very confident and secure and super handing with wanting to do things the way I did and great at keeping conversation going while changing one of the batteries.

The manager of this store is rude and wanted to have me give him the name of the employee that help me yesterday, so he could ride him up or fire him for helping me reset my computer on my truck so I could see if all my problems were taken care of which is what the young man did yesterday, but he said they're not allowed to do that and said he would ride up or fire the one that help me yesterday. Wouldn't recommend this there's two other Auto places nearby.

The guys are always super helpful and friendly. I love how they do not treat women any different than men. Everyone is always friendly. They keep so many parts in stock. The employees are well trained and very knowledgeable.

Sunday June 14 @ 4pm had a male employee that was more worried of his cell phone. The Least helpful employee I've meet anywhere, extremely rude and stuck up. Kept saying need a part number and there was absolutely no way look anything up. I'm pretty sure he's the one that should be finding the part number on the computer that's in front of him. If I was the owner id definitely be upset losing business do to employees. We will never be customer here due to the hire employees. Now it explains why the parking lot is empty compare to other auto part stores. We went to O'Reilly they were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, looked up the part.

Purchased a new battery and the guy installed it. Didn't get his name. Dropped one of the securements to my battery and couldn't find it cause my engine ate it apparently lol, but he replaced that and finished the installation. No extra charge for replacing the vanishing parts lol

Dewayne the manager is a reject from AutoZone that has 0 customer service experience. They claim the parts they will sell you have a lifetime warranty that is a lie! They remove your warranty from there system after 2 yrs and will not honor it after they remove from system. Used to be a really good parts store until they promoted Dewayne to manager been down hill ever sense. Don't waste your time go somewhere else!!!

Horrible customer service! I asked for an interior dash light by car make, model & year. The cocky man tried to give me the wrong part. When I described what it looked like & asked if he could order it, he said they couldn't. I told him we had found it online at Advance, he told me I needed to go back & order it from their website then. I will get it from a junkyard before I give them a penny!

Update: the management refunded my purcahse and I feel satisfied with that resolution ,..recently had a very bad experience after leaving an Advance Auto Parts in Cookeville Tennessee on Willow. while I was there my experience was actually really good and I immediately left a very positive review on Facebook. the issue occurred after I had left. During my visit to Advance Auto Parts to replace my battery I asked the manager Bronson at the counter to test my battery when I first arrived he immediately replied if it won't start it's the battery. I don't know a lot about cars but I know that there's more than one reason for them not to start so I tried to remain Pleasant and to listen to the man who is supposedly the expert behind the counter but I did press him again later on in our conversation to please test the battery before I purchase $130 battery that I possibly don't need again he repeated trust me man if it won't start it's always the battery I wasn't looking to be confrontational and it did seem to me like it might be the battery as well so I took the man's word. We swapped out the battery in the issue seem to be resolved that is that until that afternoon when I left from work and my car wouldn't start I've since had it diagnosed and it was a bad starter. I called Advanced back in order to see what my options were since they had sold me a battery I did not need it had refused to test the battery that I brought them. Battery testing is one of their advertise services. Bronson answer the phone I explain what it happened and he immediately cut me off and said once the battery is installed it's yours buddy. I thanked him and told him to have a great day and hung up. if you go to Advance Auto Parts make sure that they test your battery before they replace it I have a feeling that this is either a tactic to get out of work or he really just wanted to sell a battery but now I wasted $130 I did not have and I have to spend another 300-plus to fix my starter because Bronson at Cookeville Advance Auto Parts did not want to extend me the courtesy of a 5-minute battery check. I would like it if somebody at Advance Auto Parts would try to make this right but these days we customer service the way it is next time I think I'll just go to AutoZone.

Not very helpful. Asked a few questions that I thought were fairly simple and most responses were, "I really don't know". It appeared to be more like, "I really don't care".

Super service and helpful guys. They either have it or can get it! They are so busy, the curbside delivery things doesn't work, but hopefully we are beyond that now.

The manager himself came out and took my old plate off and put my new one on. The bolts had a star pattern and we couldnt do it. Thank you sir! I apreciate it.

Always busy so be patient. Sometimes it's the wrong item. Last time the computer kept crashing and it took 30 min just to get a core refund. I think they are trying but short staffed.
