Appointment was made to get repairs made to my son s truck. They made the needed repairs and explained that one of the things we thought needed to be done was not needed after all. The repairs were completed in less than 48 hours. They were polite, good at explaining everything, and the cost was less than expected. Thank you to the good people at Cecil s!

Dropped my car off and tried to explain what was happening but no one wanted to listen and ignored the papers from autozone for an engine code. Charged me $600 for 4 spark plugs and an ignition coil and when I asked if it was a big job they said no and then charged me $400 in labor so I guess it was bigger than they thought. Then got my car back and it s not even fixed and now it s a complete ECU failure which the new mechanic said everyone knows about in Hyundais and kias. So got ripped off $600 for nothing, I wouldn t go here it s just not a trustworthy shop.

Cecil's great I've only had to use him one time before and he got my car in and out I just need to stop in and get a price quote for my front CV axle and I find his quote to be competitive with everybody else around however I know his work so I trust him so I will bring my car here for any type of repairs I need I highly recommend this repair shop for honesty and integrity

Great customer service in these difficult circumstances of just trying to get someone to do a normal job of maintaining our car. Cecil s does their best to maintain an accurate schedule and to perform professional repairs.

I used to swear by these guys and I would often give them referrals. I had to wait two weeks for an appointment on a Friday morning. I didn't hear a word from them the entire day. I attempted to call them several times at 5:00 PM and, when they finally answered, I was informed that they had not had an opportunity to look at my car. It's certainly not the Cecil's that I once knew.

Needed warning lights checked out. Made appointment and when I arrived the mechanic quickly assessed the situation and gave me a plausible explanation.

Okay, this is an awesome experience. I called two hours ago after I found a nail in my rear tire and I asked if I need to make an appointment. Neal, the manager answered the phone and told me to just stop by and they will take care of it. Sure thing I stopped by and they remove the nail and plugged the hole in 10 minutes. What is even amazing is Neal did want to charge me for it but I insisted. I am still in their parking lot writing this review because this is how you run a business. This was supposed to be a quick one time fix, but now they have my business for anything that is auto. Thank you so much for the pleasant experience.Service: Brake service & repair

Just took my truck for repairs this is my second repair this time they replaced my master cylinder and slave cylinder for my clutch once again they did a great job my truck runs perfect I would also like to say that I took it there once before they found nothing wrong and charged me nothing they Said they couldn't charge me for it because they found nothing wrong with it they could have sold me anything but they are honest and that's something to be praised for they will be my mechanics for life thanks again for the great job

I would have liked to get in a little sooner but I made an appointment for water pump and motor mounts and other stuff and the did it all in one day before closing and at a reasonable price. I like these folks alot and they seem quite honest!!

I went to them with an oil leak. I'd just had my oil changed at another place and acquired a leak I hadn't had before I went. I went back to the other place and was told there was no leak (tell that to the slowly growing oil puddle in my garage). I went back again and was told the same thing and just decided I'd try Cecil's Automotive. Best decision ever. They assured me it was a slow leak from my drain plug in my oil pan (because the last place didn't bother telling me they stripped the last one and half way put in a new one). Didn't even charge me. I'll be taking my car back to them for new tires and an alignment real soon. Can't beat finding an honest place that won't charge you for blinking at your car.

Updated review - I wanted to give Cecil's a second chance - after my van's sliding door lock seized. I called on June 5th and they said their first appointment would be on 6/21. I brought in my vehicle at open I ng time, hoping they could get to it that day, since I had an appointment.Long story short, they did not get to it on that day and started looking at it the following day. They called and gave me a more expensive than dealership estimate for the work. When I asked if I could pick up the vehicle for a second opinion, they said they had already performed a significant amount of labor, so it would not be wise to take it somewhere else. Being stuck now I asked them to proceed to perform the repair.That was on a Thursday morning, and they said the part would be in the next day, and they could complete it then (Friday 6/23). They did not get it done that Friday, so I had to wait all the way until Monday noon to pickup my overpriced repaired vehicle. They blamed the delays to the fact that the service technician did not know how to replace the lock. After getting a high end estimate for service, this is not what someone wants to hear!!Bottom line: do not use Cecil's - they have terrible communications, bad customer service and overpriced, unknowledgeable service.

Really hard to find an honest and good mechanic nowadays. Neal and his team are truly great at both. I have been there several times and every time they take care of the issue fast, with transparency and a reasonable price. I took my truck to firestone after 2 failed attempts to fix my air I finally took everyone's advice made an appointment to put my truck in cecils and dropped it off at 730 in the morning on Friday they called me at 830 told me I needed a compressor and a dryer picked my truck up at 5 pm with freezing cold air I should have went there in the first place but I'm impatient and didn't want to wait for an appointment I learned my lesson the hard way from now on I will go nowhere else for my automotive needs thanks guys my air is so cold I can't turn it up over the low setting it will freeze you out of the truck

Cecil's has been the mechanic for my extended family for almost 20 years. We've found them to be honest and trustworthy. They are not cheap but I don't feel they've ever gouged me. They've told me when they didn't think it was worth my money to get a repair done; they've made some small repairs and adjustments for me at no charge from time to time. They know us and our cars and that's really a good thing.

I had a nail in my tire with a slow leak. I went to other places like Walmart, Goodyear, Firestone and called some like Pep Boys. All wanted to charge me $25.00 or more not including taxes. Also, they all said it could take hours before they could get to me. I called Cecil's. I was told to come on by. They were very busy but this one guy, I didn't get his name, saw me pull into the parking area. He asked for my keys and in about 15 minutes it was done! I had read the previous reviews and didn't believe them but they never ask for my name or anything. I will try to make an effort to use your business more often.Update: They did it again. Professional and fixed my flat again. Can't thank them enough. Recent bad weather made the roads a mess. They fixed my flat withing an hour.Service: Tires

If I could give 10 stars I would. I took my car to Christian Brothers in collierville for an oil change and was told I needed over $800 in repairs. Seemed a little off to me so I went to Cecil's for a second opinion and was told I needed absolutely nothing except for new brake pads in about 10k miles. It's so nice to come across truly honest people like the folks here. This is officially my go-to auto shop.

My late husband left me his 1969 Silverado Truck. I took it in to have it checked out and they basically told me how much they d charge for the work I had requested but that it wasn t necessary at that time. I like that they were honest with me as I was asking them to perform over $1500 worth of work. So, they are a very honest business as I have run into businesses that take advantage of woman who don t know much about cars. I have also had other services done and they are not the cheapest but not expensive either. Sometimes you get what you pay for. I d rather have work done by a business that is credible, rather than getting the cheapest price and potentially paying someone for something I don t need or guess work. Once again, Cecil s proves that they are the best in automotive and customer service.The other day, my husband and I both managed to hit two separate pot holes in two separate cars on the same day. My husband s car is currently still at Cecil s waiting for parts as we unfortunately blew a tire and have to replace two of the wheels. On my car, I managed to bend the rim on one of my wheels and knock the hubcap completely off. I was afraid the tire pressure was going down and I had a possible puncture, but I still had to drive the car to work and on errands. I was concerned today that the tire might blow if I drove it much longer, so I stopped by Cecil s on my lunch break.They checked me in immediately and had me out of there in 10 minutes. Not only did they straighten the rim and put my hubcap back on, but they checked my tire pressure to ensure it was OK and even gave me some extra air. When I asked them how much I owed, they refused to let me pay them. I actually teared up driving back to work because they took the time to help me and showed me such kindness.They are a solid bunch of people and have always treated my family with respect and compassion. They are my go-to place when I need help, and I wish I could give them 10 stars.

Neal was more than willing to help me with what I thought my problem was, as unconventional as it was. Even better was him identifying the ACTUAL problem, accurately quoting me price and times over the phone, and getting me out of there quickly on a Friday. Cannot recommend this place and staff enough. Wish I had gone sooner, I would ve saved a good bit of money and headache. Customer for life.

Few local auto garages have hung in there over the years. It s a tuff business! Cecil s has stood the test of time.One example of the quality service they offer. I had a specific issue with my vehicle that I could have easily been overcharged and had many parts changed totaling over $1000 Many shops would ve done all this work and not blink an eye. Blindly following generic manufacturing troubleshooting. However my vehicle needed a simple reset of a system deep in the computer systems, inaccessible most. 5 minute job tops.I was confident when I dropped of my vehicle Cecil s would do what was needed. Sure enough 2 hours later I got the call. Your vehicles ready . What was it? Just a simple reset? You mean it wasn t $1000 in parts and labor? Nope!!It s good to have a reputable auto mech center not driven by part volume and inflated labor time spans. They re driven by one thing. Fixing the customers vehicle, quickly and in the most inexpensive way. Period.

Great shop, great service and great people. Don t take your car to the dealership. These guys are the best, therefore they are always busy. Book your appointment at least a week in advance.

I have used Cecil s for years, starting since they were on Mount Moriah in the 1980 s.They are good at everything and NEVER try to sell you service that isn t necessary! It's nice to find an auto repair/service center that you can trust. I can name several that I will never use again. A couple of friends of mine have also had very positive customer experiences there. They are a real auto repair shop, not just an auto service shop, although I also use them for regular maintenance, oil change, etc.. I highly recommend them.

I called for a quote for new struts and shocks on my car. Quick response, they don't provide quotes over the phone. Okay, I will take my business elsewhere. His response "OK".I am not interested in driving to business to find out they charge too much.They lost my business. Sad because it is near my work and the job would have cost about $800.00.Maybe they need to lose some of their business so they are hungary again.
