I have an old 2002 cougar. Has over 150,000 miles on it. It's been in two wrecks.I had a misfire. And one day I parked it.And the temperature got around 0�.It's sat in that cold for over a week without being started or ran.When I finally tried to start the car it cranked but would not start.After having it towed to ashworth automotive.He did a compression test and found the compression was low. And the spark plugs were soaked in gas and fouled out.Other mechanics told me that with the low compression my engine was doomed. I spoke to four or five different shops and mechanics.They all said replace the car or tear the engine apart only options.But Jerry at ashworth automotive, being an (old school mechanic) said he had a trick he might be able to save it and get me running again ?!But he informed me he could not guarantee it would work.I took the chance considering I could not afford a new vehicle at this time.The next day sure enough he called me back and said it's fired up and running.And after a couple of fixes like a broken intake air sensor wire and some new spark plugs, he said it was finished.It's sat over the weekend in the cold at his shop.I got there tried the car and it started immediately first turn fired right up.It drove smooth and like it should from there to my home.Obviously it's too soon to tell if the fix will remain good or not.But at this point it's running and running properly.I really appreciate him doing things that no other mechanic would do in order to keep me running.And everything he did was in a matter of like 4 days total.The price for everything came out to be less than what some other mechanics and shops were going to charge me.So I am personally satisfied thus far with the shop, and would definitely recommend it.

We were traveling south last summer from Illinois to Alabama when we developed car trouble. Ashworth took care if our problem in good time, and sent us on our way! Great people, good service! We're so glad you were not hit by that recent tornado.

Brought my car in after check engine light came on and car hesitation after my morning commute home. Ms. Donia was so polite and helpful upon me calling and admissision. Mr. Jerry Ashworth (the owner) was as equally nice and pleasant to assist and drive me home while my car was being diagnosed. Although it was a matter concerning the dealership they went above and beyond by contacting and explaining the diagnosis to the dealership at which then i was contacted to inform me which dealership to take it to. Even the man they sent to pick me up was nice. Plus it helps they are conveniently located blocks away from my house. Needless to say I will definitely be back.

Just an added note to one of the other reviews on here. The customer with suspension parts could only come in for 15 minutes at a time. The shop is very busy and need more then 15 minutes at a time to check out a vehicle. Customer was repeatedly asked to leave vehicle for a through diagnostic review. As far as alignments go they are not warranted for the simple fact that as soon as you pull out of a shop anything can knock it out of alignment, curves, potholes, anything. We strive to give the best service and warranty to our customers.

Ashworth Automotive works on our fleet of construction vehicles and has always taken great care of our vehicles and they get our employees back on the street in a very timely manner. From our monthly service work to major repairs, they have performed it all on both gas and diesel trucks. Give them a call...you will be glad you did.

We were visiting from Missouri when me rear end started leaking and smoking. We were able to limp to our destination and I stated calling shops. 15 shops had no availability for a week. I was resigned to working on it myself when a young lady at NAPA suggested I call Ashworth Automotive. I m glad I did. Not only did they squeeze me in same day, but they had me fixed in time to make it make it home. Very nice and professional. I hope we don t break down on our next visit, but if I do they will be my first call.

If I have a repair I cant do or dont have time to do this is my go to shop. Jerry has been a mechanic for years and great one at that. The first I meet him I was just a co-worker and without looking at the vehicle he was able to tell me what he thought, upon inspection was spot on. Anytime he tells me something that is wrong it has been fixed to his recommendation and spot on with it. He really has a good group of employees at his place. Will say dont judge by looks but judge by their hearts! Ashworth will take care of you!

Truck was there over a month and when I picked the truck up the tire pressure light was on and the guy said oh you dont have the sensors with after market rims. Well I stopped at the air pump and guess what tire pressure light went out. Oh and after being there over a month guess what came back on. Yep check engine light. Freaking shady mechanics cleared the check engine light. Thank God my warranty company paid for whatever it is they claimed they fixed.

Quick repair on our Tahoe ignition system. 2 other places in town jerked us around saying it was a huge issue. Ashworth's had it fixed in a few hours. Very reasonable price as well.

Ashworth auto group has been there for our company on many occasions to help us with all our auto repairs even during the flood of 2010 they went nashville and hauled our trucks back that were destroyed by the flood and was able to get them running again. We appreciate there hard work and dedication. Thanks Jerry

I went in to get new rotors, brakes, and tie-rods. 1 month later I started having the same issues - wobble while braking and popping with steering. So warranty covered the part replacement, but they didn't realign the steering and left the car with a bad malalignment. I have to go back once again for them "to determine what the issue is", then schedule a time to return again (7th visit total) to fix it with a 3rd party alignment shop. Too much back and forth if you ask me. Get it right the first time... or at least by the 2nd time.

I have gone here twice due to them parting out parts for my vehicle. The guys there are fair and patient, since they allowed me to pull the parts myself. The Manger even came down to check on me. I would definitely allow this garage to work on my cars.

Took my Chev.Trail Blazer in Jerry the owner checked it out, called me toldme what it would cost . Iask him if Icould try an get the part where i got the car he said sure . Icame back with the part it was late close to closeing time . The next day i got my Trail Blazer back runs great , no hand prints on the wheel. JOB WELL DONE THANKS JERRY

This place is run poorly and then yells at female customers. They bullied my wife after they lost a part.....screaming....Mistakes happen...you made a mistake when your car messed up....no we made a mistake when we took it there.
