My 17 yr old daughter was told she would have to wait 2 hours for her tire to get plugged. An hour later, she was told it would be 30 min - 1hour. 4 hours later she was told that she needed a new tire that they couldn t take a nail out & plug it because the tire is bad. That brand new tire was bought 6 months ago. My daughter witnessed & send video of the employees watching the phone ring off the hook. Knowing my daughter was taken advantage of really upsets me!!! Visited Saturday, January 6, 2024.

Worst service experience I have ever had I was told that there were only 3 people ahead of me two people getting tire work, one person getting a battery, and no one was getting an oil change. I sat in the waiting area for over an hour looking at an empty oil change bay. Then when I asked for an update they gave me the excuse that one oil change bay is down and they were waiting for a different bay to open up which was open the whole hour I was sitting there. I don t appreciate being lied to and when I ask how long it was going to take I was ignored and walked away from. Also during my time of waiting I watched someone walk in after me and began getting service before my truck was moved. This is ridiculous. I won t be back and I will never recommend anyone to come here.

Ordered online, made an appointment to have tires mounted a week ago for today. Today 30 minutes before my appointment time I got an email saying my appointment was canceled and they would let me know when my tires would be mounted!!!

I stood around for about 45 minutes to get my car checked in just cause they needed to check records on my tires all to get a freaking plug. Never again. Wen act like he too old to even give good customer service and they can't honor paperwork when someone shows it to them. I am so over this location and I've only been living in Chatt for a month. The most irritating staff I ever encountered and I've been to several Walmarts in different states.

The technicians are patient and really help. It's the best Walmart auto I've ever been to because the techs are friendly informative and fast.

Please take heed and if you don t don t say I didn t warn you! I have taken my car to Walmart 3x to have a synthetic oil change. I took my car to Walmart over a year ago, then to the dealership, then to Walmart the next two times. Every single time I took my car to Walmart for an oil change my car hesitated to go and was stalling for about the first few miles or so. I am very convinced that Walmart is installing either the wrong filter or being careless with whatever they are doing since they are the only company to do an oil change in my car respond like this every time they have done an oil change. Twice Walmart has charged me extra for a special filter but the last time they didn t. However every time they have done my oil change I have experienced the same problem. It has auto corrected it self as I did nothing about it specifically however I m not sure what type of lasting damage it has or will have later on. I suggest you go to the dealership as the dealership usually does not charge more than Walmart for an oil change in certain areas of the US. The Chevy dealership in Charlotte is about $10 cheaper than Walmart and I haven t had that problem with them. Since I travel a lot across the nation the three times I have had my oil changed at Walmart was because I was it near that particular dealership. Save your money save your car and go to the dealership...you have been warned.

Darian took really good care of us. His customer service skills are top notch! It was really busy but he kept us informed about when he would get to us and then he was friendly, helpful and very accommodating.

Took about 3 hours for an oil change. When I left, the check engine light was on. The truck has 80,000 miles and the light has never come on before. I was told by staff that it isn t their problem. The manager might call me later on when he gets in. They flat out refused to do anything, or even refund me. I find it hard to believe the light came on coincidentally. Drove it right across the parking lot to Pep Boys and they told me this kind of thing happens often at this particular Walmart Auto, and that he is often dealing with their mistakes. After about 2 minutes, he read the OBD code, which was an oxygen sensor. They somehow managed to get oil all over it. I still haven t received a call back from the manager. I d rather never change my oil again than come back here, safer for the truck that way.

Jerome the manager of the auto center is super disrespectful to employees & customers. After sitting in the lobby for 30 minutes listening to him cuss and disrespect employees I asked him politely to please work on my vehicle that only needed a plug in a tire and he started to yell and cuss at me and say provocative racial comments towards me. While underneath cameras and children present he commenced to continue to call me names & cuss me out. All bc I asked for service. Super disrespectful guy & he doesn't deserve to work in customer care he should find a job at a prison where he can talk all the mess abt race to the inmates.Service: Tires

The service technicians were great. I give it 3 stars because of one of the assistant managers. He embarrassed (reprimanded) a technician while I was asking the technician a question. The employee was informing me that I didn't have highlights. I asked the employee how much they charged to install the lights and he said he didn't know if they charged for that and the assistant manager said "of course we charge for that, it's a service, why would you think we wouldn't charge for that"? Very demeaning sounding to the guy who was being very nice.The oil change should have only took 30 minutes which I was told, but the assistant manager and I guess maybe managers decided they needed to have a meeting. Ended up taking quite a while. This type of thing shouldn't be done while people are waiting on a service. Poor management. This is not how you treat employees. He should have said yes we charge $7.50 for each and after I left told his employee how it worked in private. If I were the technician I would be finding a better company to work for.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT COME HERE. Waited for 1.5hour just for them to start working on my vehicle. Employees stood and talked making me continue to wait for services to be completely. Excuse me Walmart hiring department,,!!!!,, You need a new staff inside the gunbarrel(Chattanooga,TN) automotive section. ASAP, your current staff is not a good representation for your company. Customers,,,!!!!,,, goooo service your car elsewhere, Do not waste your time here PLEEEAAASSEE.

I got my oil changed here at the Walmart auto center on gunbarrel road earlier this month. Exactly one week later I was going to see my mom who lives in Spring Hill, TN. Right before I got to Manchester, TN I started hearing a loud noise and then I literally saw two pieces from the bottom of my car flying down the highway as I was looking in my rearview mirror. I pulled over onto the emergency lane off the hwy and got out and looked under the front end of my car and found out that the two parts that came off my car was the part of the parts that they have to remove any time someone changes my oil. When I had the chance to go back to Walmart where they changed my oil at, I explained what happened and asked them to fix the problem since they were clearly at fault, because I believe which ever person took those pieces off of my car to change my oil, they must have not put it back on securely or properly. I also had requested to speak to the manager there. They said there's no way of knowing for sure if it was their fault so they refused to fix it. Now I'm going to have to pay for the parts out of my own money, plus it's going to cost me to pay someone to fix it for me. So instead of saving money by having Walmart auto center in Chattanooga TN change my oil, now I'm going to end up spending much more money in the long run . I strongly recommend that everyone thinks twice before they decide to have their oil changed at the Walmart auto center on gunbarrel road in Chattanooga TN.

So I went to get my oil changed and they gentleman said yeah I can get you right in - 25 mins later they finally get my car in there and then takes another 15 mins for the guy moving in SLOW MOTION to stop talking and actually do something. Once he got the car lifted, let s add that it took 45 mins for him to complete the oil change because he would just stand or sit at random times to talk and laugh with the other guys! The worst experience ever and I will never be back for sure! So let s say about an hour and a half later this is the worst experience ever!!

I purchased a new battery and received great customer service. Not sure about some of these bad service reviews people leave. Everyone should consider how many people are ahead of them. Jerome estimated 30 mi. wait time and I was in truck ready to less than 30 mins. Thanks Walmart team

Stopped in for simple oil change, was told it would be about 40 minutes but 2.5 hours later it was done. The next day I was having my alignment done elswhere and the told me my oil drain plug was loose and had lost about a qrt of oil. Thank goodnees I had the alignment done or would necer have know till it was out and damaged my engine. Thank you Firestone for letting me know.

I bought a battery according to thier guide & it didn't fit. I called the department to see if they had a different one. The phone rang about 50 times. I called back someone picked up the receiver and reset it. I gave it a few minutes for me to calm down and called back. The associate answered, told me they didn't have the other one. I then asked can I return this battery to the Aouto center. He told me no.I asked was Jerome still there he told me no. When I got to the service desk guess who walked by? The manager Jerome. He asked why I didn't just return it back back there. What the associate didn't know is I worked at that store for 21 yrs.

I went by there and had a question a young man named Jack was so polite. He took the time to explain in detail what was best for my car. I will come back for him .But the rest probably not . I hope he was the manager he is very qualified and customer concerns come first. A-1

Deplorable. These folks take apathy to an entirely new level. I attempted to make a purchase and was not helped by anyone following contact with more than 9 associates. The final associate who informed me he was no longer on the clock began laughing at me as I left. Unprofessional.Service: BatteryService: Battery

I got my oil changed here. Then I started noticing oil spots on my driveway and took my vehicle to a car shop. They told me whoever changed my oil didn't reapply a seal so I had oil leaking out. Thanks walmart

I had to wait a while because they were very busy. I had just had major hernia surgery when my battery died. Jerome was awesome! He did it himself so I wouldn't have to wait even longer. Larry was also amazing! There was a "man" named Jack there who felt it was okay for him to repeatedly belittle & talk down to Larry,who has been there for 30+ yrs and who hastens to be his elder by at least 40+ yrs. I dokie to management about it and was assured it would be handled. So...all in all...with the exception of one jerk...EVERYONE else there was absolutely AHHHMAZING!

Got my oil changed here and then they charged me extra for another quart when I don't need that... and they didn't replace the sticker or the oil..... had to have my oil changed not even a month later and i hardly drive anywhere. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS LOCATION EVER. A simple oil change has costed me $400 to have an oil pan replaced bc they have no idea what they are doing! And no one will return my call about the claim that was supposed to be started over a week ago!

Poor service it took about two hours to get a tire fixed with only 2 customers ahead and they were in the bay already. The sad part is they have a manager back there all the time but it's a waste because it ain't making a difference at. If u can go somewhere else because they don't take pride in making their customers happy or satisfied.

In March of 2014, I purchased a auto battery from Walmarts, which had a 2 year full and 3 more years of a pro-rated warranty. Recently the car would not start due to the battery and replacement was required. I took the car back to Walmarts for replacement. I was already past the full replacement option, but was in the pro-rated portion of the warranty. We were told that there was a $29 credit available for this pro-rated warranty. We were also told that if we were going to use that credit, we would be unable to get a warranty on the new battery, so if the battery died next week, I would be out of luck. I have had pro-rated warranties from other stores and they did not have this stipulation. The pro-rated warranty is essentially useless, as one would not want to expose yourself to not have a full warranty on the new battery. In my view, this is deceptive advertising and Walmarts should not be stating that there is an extended pro-rated warranty.

8/7/18 went in at 7:25pm (auto center closes at 8pm) to get my spare tire changed for a new tire, the manager said they couldn't do it because it was too late and to try Pep boys. Called 8/8/18 at 9:43am, hung up on; Called 8/8/18 at 9:44am, placed on hold for 4 minutes then hung up and called in again and line kept ringing, finally the greeting person sent me to auto again... no answer... Really need to work on customer service.

This Wal-Mart is lazy. I had to call a different Wal-Mart to get a price on a tire because the Walmart on Gunbarrel would not give you the time of day. They Do not do their job.

Its a small area so it gets a little hectic but everyone I encountered was very helpful. One of the guys went above and beyond for me which was very appreciated. It took a little bit of time but that is expected with car work.
