Frank and Mark took care of my truck as if it was one of their own. I was kept in the loop and, in my opinion, they were open/honest about all the details of my truck's needs - not pressing me to get everything done at once. I appreciated the personable staff, as well as the time and efficiency it took to get everything fixed. Great job with my brakes and oil change. I'll definitely be back.

Only good for basic oil changes. Dropped off my car at 10 am for coolant issues and was told I would get a call in about two hours so two hours went by and no call so I decided to call at 1pm no updates yet and by 3 pm I still had no calls so I called back and they said It had to be done tomorrow. Long story short I spent a whole day in a hotel for nothing!!

Worst place to get your car checked. If I could give this a no star rating I would. My car has a coolant failure and since being out of state we decided to get it checked out before heading back home. The car was dropped off as soon as they opened. Never received an update or a courtesy call of any sort. We called twice to get updates and the car was still not checked out. We call two hours before closing time just to be told to bring the car back the following morning to get checked out because they couldn t get to it. Mind you it s been there since they opened. I understand mechanics are busy but this is ridiculous and a waste of my time when I could ve probably had taken somewhere else to check the system for me.

Service was amazing! Philip the manager took great care of me from the time I got there until the time I left. Eric and the other service member was great with installation. Prices were not the cheapest, and not the most expensive as well. Have been a Kumho customer for years and will only wear their tires on my car.

I m so appreciative of the excellent service and repairs I received last month on my Mercedes. I unexpectedly had to get my car towed due to what initially was my alternator . Upon further inspection by the expert mechanic also identified damage to my serpentine belt and an oil leak that had been there for some time . Philip as well as the other staff were excellent in communication each step of the way , and went above and beyond to stay late to get my car repaired in a timely manner & kept my repairs below my budget. I would highly recommend this location on Gunbarrel Road.

Was assigned this shop for tire install after a purchase online from Tire Rack. Online quote for mount & balance was $47. Final service was $79 total. Apparently after a shop fee for using, I assume, their equipment and towels. Also broke down bill details had labor listed at $30 and a separate charge for $40 for wheel balance weights used to complete the job. So let that sink in. Expected around $47. Got charged $79. And the wheels are not balanced and vibrating worse than before with old tires and missing wheel weights.Every competitor I've used in the past has charged between $30-50 total. I've never been nickeled and dimed so much for such a basic everyday service. I mean, a big chain that charges a shop fee?First time using this company and definitely the last. I'll go out of my way to use Discount Tire from now on. They've done replacement valve stems at no charge for me. Didn't charge for shop towels, the valve stem, or to put air back in the tire. I'm sure I would've had the opposite experience here.

In one visit I experienced poor service and then exceptional service. Mr Phillip is a keeper. He is the reason I won t hesitate to give Pep Boys my business. After being given a verbal and written quote, the check in associate at the counter changed the price. He told I was under quoted by about 150 and that the product I was told was in stock, actually wasn t. His offering was a replacement part for about 130 more, thus raising my overall cost about 300.00. I mentioned that I drove from 30 mins away w my mom, who is in a wheelchair and took the time to follow me over. He offered no sympathy or consideration for the increase and change. Rather than simply seek out the associate that gave me the quote for clarification, or a manager, he simply drew a line in the sand and told me it is what it is basically. Fortunately, Mr Phillip walked in. He overheard the discussion and stepped in to help. He honored the price. Mr Phillip then immediately located the battery the first associate told me was an inventory miscount and out of stock. The first associate told me it would take an hr and a half. Mr Phillip told me to go grab a milkshake next door, enjoy it and when I was finished and came back the job would be done. He texted me before I even finished the drink lol. Can t say enough about the difference in customer service. And he s not about giving in or kissing someone rear end .but he is about shooting you straight, keeping his word, and for me, finding solutions. Thanks man, I ll be back for sure!

I was quoted $600 for an upper tie rod replacementI work on my own truck for the most part so this seems astronomical up charging to me, is this just industry standard now? I won't be bringing any of my cars to pepboys again, I can't. I can't afford a car at those maintenance rates Dude at the counter had the gall to go in a rant about gas taxes being the majority of our gas prices at the pump; while simultaneously telling me an hour of labor + a $75 tie rod end = $600.Of course Phillip immediately pitched the pepboys credit card (learn to manage debt for your posterity, folks). If I'm willing to go that far into debt for a tie rod; I'd be more willing to take out a student loan and become ACE certified myself. To save me $$ down the road.

I was given an appointment at 9AM for looking at my grinding brake rotor. At 9:45 I asked if my car has been looked at yet, I was told it was gonna be another hour (10:45AM) until evaluation and couple hours for a fix. Why give an appointment if you can honor it? I could ve taken my business somewhere else.I asked for my car back, I didn t get it until 10:12 (almost half an hour). I assumed they at least did a quick evaluation, but when I asked for a result they said they didn t finish it. As if an hour and a half wasn t enough to look. I asked for a quote under the assumption that I want them to replace the rotors and the pads, and the price was over 50% more expensive than the dealership s ORM parts and installation.

They were very helpful with my tire issue. When I didn't want to waste my money on getting a really old tire fixed, they were able to find me a great deal on a normally very expensive tire.

Phillip was awesome and very courteous. As an out of towner from New Orleans it was nice to get that southern hospitality from a great business in Tennessee. I will definitely be back when I m in town.

Phillip and the team at Pep Boys did a great job of getting me back on the road when I had a blow out. I m also quite happy that PepBoys is open on Sunday when almost all other tire/car service shops are closed.

I was nervous. My 17yo and I were on our way home to PA from the ball fields in Dalton, GA when our car had other plans. It was a Sunday so mechanics were not open and we were in a tough spot. After I spoke with Phillip from PepBoys I immediately had them tow my car 30 minutes to the PepBoys on Gunbarrel Rd in Chattanooga, TN. Once there Phillip took great care of us. He couldn't promise us that our car would be diagnosed nor fixed that day but he did offer a lot of information about the area, where to stay (if needed), and where to eat. We strolled the local mall and when we came back our car was still not looked at and it was closing in on closing time. However, Phillip and the mechanic there (my apologies for forgetting the mechanics name) worked their magic to get us on the road that day... minutes before closing their doors. So thankful!

I scheduled an oil change and went at my scheduled time. I wasn t even given the opportunity to open the door because one of the gentleman were there holding the door for me. When I walked in, I was greeted, and everyone was so nice. Philip checked me in and explained everything to me. They kept me updated and were actually done before I thought they were going to be. The shop is extremely clean. Their prices are so reasonable. They even had a customer that was very rude and dealt with them with A1 customer service. I am definitely going to return & recommend to all of my friends. Thank you Pep Boys

Frank and the other staff are great. Had to bring 3 small kids with and wait there while work on the car was done. Went above and beyond accommodating me. Car runs great after repairs. Only place I take my cars now to get worked on

I got a nice set of Cooper tires put on a company vehicle today and they did a great job in a timely manner. There were two things that I totally did NOT like. #1 They (a guy named Alex) DEFENDED their practices to use their handicap parking slots as a place to put finished vehicles as "That's just what we do." That statement was repeated when I said the spot was reserved for a reason and that is what they had done on our last visit there. #2 They did an oil change without my approval. I have a regular place I like to have that done and I still had 400 miles to go. They called the service management company and got an early approval on it without my knowledge or without me even mentioning an oil change. Since my charges have been nearly $2,000 there over the last two visits, you would think they would want to keep me as a customer. It seems they don't consider the customer's wishes. I'm not sure if it is just this location or not.

Horrible experience at the Gunbarrel location.. I brought my car in because it was overheating and leaking oil and coolant. A week after the repairs the car started overheating again. They then changed the thermostat. I drove home and it overheated again and it was leaking coolant. I called and they told me to bring it back so they could check it out for the third time!!! No empathy, no accountability. One of the associates advised me to drive my overheating car to the shop didn't even offer a tow until I said I didn't feel comfortable driving while it's overheating. Long story short I paid Pep boys a little over 1500 to repair my car and it never got repaired after the third time overheating I didn't feel comfortable taking it back to them so I found another shop to repair my car.....

I have been to this shop on 4 occasions. Of those, my car was only ready once when the service writer said it would be ready. I purchased the life time alignment and honestly I m not going to use it. I brought my car in a few weeks ago, service writer said they could not align the car correctly because I needed rear control arms. I personally replaced the parts and returned to have the alignment corrected. Left it on Monday at 845am , writer said it would be ready same day. Didn t hear from them and had to call on Tuesday, a different writer said it would be end of Tuesday or Wednesday. No call on Tuesday, called at 645 on Wednesday and was told my ticket was on the wrong technicians board. They did the alignment that evening, allegedly. I picked up the car this morning and the alignment paperwork showed almost no adjustments. Service writer then told me camber bolts were worn out, unless they left those loose from a previous alignment, camber bolts don t wear out .Do not buy the alignment package, they push you to the back of the service line and then don t correct the issue. I should have trusted the google reviews, $200 lifetime alignment is obviously a pipe dream. Save yourself time and take your car somewhere else.

Whoever they had working the front Friday afternoon is extremely rude to everyone in the room. He was bad mouthing the people calling in for questions to the customers present. Pushed his opinions down your throat and was over all a complete prick

We stopped in on a Sunday morning during an out of town stay with a flat tire. They were simply awesome . The staff was friendly and although they were quite busy, they plugged the tire and we were able to get back on the road to head home. EDIT: The tire couldn't be plugged but they let us see the damage and assessed the other three tires. We ended up getting 4 new tires and got safely back on the road.
