A hidden gem in East Brainerd is what I have found when I found Maxi Auto Service. Jason Doss is one of the most knowledgeable people I have come across when it comes to cars. I guess that's why he is the manager. His kindness and knowledge puts you at ease as soon as you walk in. You know your in good hands. James was my mechanic and did an outstanding job. Now that I have found this golden nuggets will never go anywhere else. Thanks for taking care of me and doing such an awesome job.

Absolute worst place to try to get in. Trying to schedule a time to drop your car is pointless because you'll wait days to drop it off and anyone that comes by between then and now will be put in front of you. There's also a 50% chance they'll change their mind about working your car at all. I had my car their for a week with them telling me they'd replace a manifold and called me after waiting a week just to tell me they changed their minds. I'm 100% done with this place.

First of all, Labron is a joke. I tried to explain the problem and asked him if he would take it for a drive because I wasn t sure whether it was the exhaust with a leak or not, He said no. He Is as rude as it gets. If you want to feel like you re bothering someone, this is the place to go. After spending over $300, for a motor mount, more than I was originally quoted, without a test drive, my car is running the exact same way it was when I dropped it off. After work, I take it to another shop, JUST AS I SUSPECTED, THERE IS IN FACT, AN EXHAUST LEAK near the manifold. Won t be going back to this shop and you shouldn t either.

After they put a new muffler on my truck I took a trip to Chicago and got a little dizzy in traffic. I took the truck to a shop and they were pissed at the work but they fixed it and took the new muffler that I got from maxi off. The welds were pitiful causing fumes to leak into the truck. I mentioned it to this maxi and after it was approved by the general manager they gave me 125 of 207 back stating I still needed to pay for the bad labor that they done. The guy at the front desk really is a nice guy. But I don t agree with me having to pay anything for the bad job they did.Service: Exhaust

We were headed from Florida to the rod run in Pigeon Forge when we started hearing a noise coming from the back of the car. We pulled off the exit to find a repair shop and we found Maxi auto service. They said it would be a few minutes. When they looked at the car, they found the problem. A bolt had come out of the brake caliper. They replaced the bolt. Jason (assistant manager) said that it was a simple repair and he didn t charge us for it. Some shops would have charged an hour labor, so thank you Jason and your team for taking care of us. A+++++. We highly recommend this shop.

Stopped by Maxi Auto Service yesterday and asked if they could check the air in my tires (my warning light indicated the need). They immediately took the car, checked the tires, and added the extra air pressure. When I asked what I owed for the service I was blown away that they consider that a service for anyone who stops by. Who says that old adage "customer comes first" is dead? Guys you made my day with your kindness and personal consideration. Thank you again Maxi!!

Took it in for Electronic emergency brake problem and oil change. They diagnosed the problem but couldn't reprogram the module. May have to go to the dealer. Only charged me for the oil change and shut off the service the brake light.They are tying to get a local shop that can help so I don't have to go to a dealer. I will be going back. Honest shop.

Love this place! I have used them for many years and they are provide exceptional service for my vehicle and customer service. I have always appreciated their timeliness in getting back to me, sending me a quote, and taking care of my car as quickly as possible. Both Jason and Lebron have always been super friendly, professional, and so easy to work with. I would highly recommend Maxi Auto on East Brainerd!

I had 2 bad rotors replaced with a great price and great workers and management. Very honest. I really appreciated them since I was from out of town from Florida. I recommend this place to everyone

I dropped off my car on Monday to get looked at. I did not receive a call back Monday, so I reached out Tuesday morning to ask about the car. The man on the phone was very rude and had a really distasteful attitude and told me it was ready. I go to pick up my car and there's damage that wasn't there previously, but I did not check my car after i parked it in the parking lot, so that may be on me. I spoke with the man I dropped the car off with and asked about the damage. He said "I did not touch your car, I didn't even get in it. I looked at it and knew what was wrong." I asked if he got under the car or anything as I brought it in for mechanical issues. He said "No. I just looked at the damage and knew what the problem was." I asked how he knew there wasn't anything else going on with it outside of the body damage (that I didn't take the car in for.) He then said "I'm not arguing with you." And walked away from me.

Quick, good, and cheap usually don t go together but Lebron and Jason made it happen! They were able to replace my Jeeps exhaust resonator when the stock one developed a bad rattle at highway speeds as I was traveling through the area. Price was great, welds looked great, and I was out of there in about an hour. Thanks again!Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Can't express enough how happy I am that I took my truck here, for months I was dealing with it overheating I had taken it to 2 other auto shops nobody could figure out the problem but this place thankfully found the issue and quickly fixed it in less then a week! My truck is now running smoothly thanks to them I highly suggest this place the mechanics are nice, informative and prices are good as well.

If you have an annoying problem with your car, they will fix it real quick!! It's been a month or two since I brought my car over there, but when I did, I didn't expect for them to fix it so quickly and nicely!! Literally I just went up there without calling and told them what it was doing roughly (exhaust pipe was aftermarket and dragging on bottom front lip, so it made a racket when I was at idle), then they went ahead, put it up there, found the problem and fixed it up with some welding equipment in like ~15min and it was very cheap as well!! On top of that, all of the staff were super friendly and knowledgeable!! To this day, my exhaust hasn't had anymore problems, and I highly recommend this Maxi's!!

The catalytic converter failed in my truck and was rattling horribly. I called Maxi and they were very polite and prompt. They quoted a very fair price and had my truck repaired in half a day. While driving on I-75 there was some noise from the rear wheels. We took the Exit and wanted to get it checked somewhere as we were in for a long trip with family. We found Maxi Auto on East Brainerd. Spoke to Jason(Manager) about the noise and the urgency. He asked Brian to take a look and he was immediately able to identify the problem and fix it right away. We went for a quick drive to ensure the problem was solved. They were both professional, courteous and went out of their way to make sure my vehicle received the proper attention and care. From my friend's reference they used this store over 20 years, I started using this auto as my primary car maintenance shop since 2015. It has been a good experience. In the past, I like the manager Ron, he is always patient and honest, very trustworthy. After he relocated to another Maxi shop, I felt a bit messy and of tension in terms of customer communication and relationship in a short period following that. Like any business, the customer facing manager(s) or representative(s) are the most important for the business in the long term. Top notched technicians are the ultimate asset for them, but not everyone can be a manager or representative to deal with the customers. Obviously they found this issue soon, now they have Lebron and Jason taking care of the store. They are both very honest and friendly, sometimes, I can tell they were overwhelmingly busy with many cars awaiting for repair. I, like my friends, was always given the problem explanation and the solutions, as well as the quotes. I saw a couple a single * rating from a few customers said Maxi went ahead to fix without calling and giving quotes, I am very surprised. Two weeks ago, I brought my BMW 328i there asking for a check or replacing the timing chain if necessary, Lebron told me honestly they can't do that as they do not have such tools for it -- one of a few things they can't work on, instead he gave me another auto repair shop to try. It turned out to be a very good one. I appreciate that. I took my car for general inspection before taking a long cross country trip. I talked to Jason and they were very thorough with their inspection. They didn't try to upsell me on anything. He was very honest and very personable. I am very grateful for honest people like Maxi personnel. You've gotta try Maxi for your car care needs. Locally-owned business with the capabilities of a corporate franchise. They will tow you, order Uber rides at no cost to you, and will match the price of any quote from any competitor. I chose to go local in hopes of receiving a personalized touch and friendly service, and you better believe I was not disappointed. I was coming into town when my car was breaking down and a trusted local recommended this shop, specifically Ron. These guys knew they couldn't fix my car in the timeline I provided, but they told me the truth, told me what I needed, and were honest in their assessment of next steps. Without hesitation I very highly recommend this shop, these gentlemen, and Ron's honest way of conducting business. If I were in the area with a car issue, I'd go no where else. Even when I took my car elsewhere (solely because it was a Sunday) they didn't find what Maxi did. Look no further, go nowhere else, these guys are the best. THANK YOU to Maxi!

Took my car in 3 months ago for brakes and rotors to be turned. I was charged for that and I paid for that even though it was more than quoted by email. However, less than 3 weeks and I had a shake every time I pressed the brakes. I didn't have that before. I have been by there twice. Each time, I have been treated like it wasn't a big deal and I was told I would have to leave my car with them. Uh, no thanks. I would rather stay and make sure they actually took the time to fix the problem. It has now been 3 months and my brakes are worse than when I took them in. I will never use this place again. Maybe another location but not this one. I guess I am going to take it to NTB, which I was going to do in the beginning but because of time limits, I didn't have the time. Guess it pays just to do business with places that actually can perform the work even if I have to wait a day or so to get in. Horrible customer service and poor service. If you can go somewhere else, I recommend it.Service: Brakes

Jason (assistant manager) is awesome at East Brained location. He run store efficiently despite shortage of mechanics. The day I needed new stater he only had one mechanic. He was able to take care of my car without appointment that day in just few hours. Matter in fact he also helped another guy who needed break job without appointment too while taking care of existing clients cars.

Joe at Maxi just adjusted my windshield arm. When asked what I owe, he said it was a courtesy repair. Beyond impressed. I will only use them moving forward. Great local business!

I normally don't do reviews, but this is the only place I'll take my car in Chattanooga. They do a wide range of services at a reasonable price and without all the add-ons that most places give you. I have recommended them to many friends and have never heard a complaint. They charged us $150 to fix the back door of our SUV which is a personal mail truck. When it broke again a week later we took it somewhere else and it had been fixed with a zip tie just 1 zip tie. So today we spent $160 and got it fixed right. Do not go here they are crooks and do not fix anything. I have pics of the parts along with pics from the mechanic shop that did fix it.

The staff that I talked to were really nice and seemed helpful. I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation/alignment. I had them do a free brake check (that was one of their online coupons) and when they called they said I needed to replace all my brakes and all my rotors, which would cost about $600. I was skeptical, so I took my car to another mechanic that I knew personally and found out that there was nothing wrong with any of my rotors or my brakes, and they would still last a long time. He showed me that I had plenty of brake pad left and that the thickness of my rotors were still good and everything.I've heard good things about the staff and, like I said, they were nice, but honesty is key for me. Don't get hosed by these guys just because they say you need to get something replaced. If you do go here, get a second opinion.
