Last year I purchased a PCM from them and it was a seamless experience, so when I found the truck to start showing signs of a potential for the IDM to be failing I considered the services of Diesel Tech of Chatt, not so seamless....I am getting every single sign this thing is bad including but not limited to random injector codes that cycle through the cylinder numbers 2 at a time with contribution issues, tested everything else in the system....leaving only the IDM to rule out of the equation.Upon submitting my information slip for the IDM test (minus the false codes) I immediately got flack and questioned about my concern and request for testing.At the end I requested the order be cancelled and refunded back to me, going through another IDM rebuilder and just replacing the unit since it's aged and known for failures regardless.This was a very negative experience, and it's putting a hold on the truck being fixed sooner as far as I am concerned.Do not think there will be any further consideration of services through Diesel Tech of Chatt in the future, from myself or any of the diesel guys I know after sharing the emails to a page I am part of.There are other options for the consumer and this company needs to recognize that.

I mailed DTOC my PCM for my 96 Ford 7.3 and they had it back in only a few days. I've been very happy with the performance flash. The truck idles better, runs great and the transmission even shifts better after the flash. I highly recommend them and will be doing business with them again anytime I need something for my diesel.

Great shop for your diesel needs. They took care of me quickly and we're very knowledgeable. They seem to use top quality parts with top quality service. They also have a nice area to sit and wait if needed.

My 2001 F-250 with the 7.3 diesel was stolen back in October. Upon recovery the truck was taken to a local Ford Dealer who said PCM (powertrain control module) was dead, part obsolete, truck can t be fixed.Insurance wanted to total it out because it was irreparable! I kept the truck and shipped the PCM to Diesel Technology of Chattanooga for testing. They verified it was dead. After authorizing the repair they credited my testing fee towards the rebuild. They had rebuilt PCM s in stock so they exchanged mine and shipped it the same day! Received it 2 days later and my truck fired right up on the first try!EXCELLENT products, reasonable prices, fast shipping and great communication.I saw the review from the guy who was upset about them not taking phone calls, he is an idiot. They responded to my emails within hours and answered all my questions thoroughly.I highly recommend and will definitely use them again.

I had read about DTC, I was told about their helpfulness & was not disappointed as a customer. Super people at DTC, always answers & helped put my wife & I back into our old OBS. I will ALWAYS recommend a great shop and THIS is a great shop! Thanks to all at DTC! ***UPDATE: Been a year since DTC helped my wife & I with the best customer service ever, & our old OBS is still kicking to this day. I have an early 99 7.3 California emissions truck that I struggled to get it running correctly after a later model engine swap. As a last ditch effort I decided to send the pcm off to DTC to have it checked. They informed me that my problems were most likely caused by the e99 and California emissions pcm not being compatible with the later model engine. Pcm was updated and fixed the problem. THANKS!

This business is TOP NOTCH!!! Tons of knowledge and excellent staff!!! Took my pcm/ecu from my 7.3 hooked it up and was able to confirm the pcm/ecu was the issue!! Took 2 minutes to diagnose and 1 minute to have a brand new pcm in hand!! Drove home, hooked up the pcm, and now my truck runs amazing!!!!! Thank you so much, Diesel Technology of Chattanooga!!!!!!!!

You not going to find a more knowledgeable and involved staff. These guys went above and beyond to answer my questions and make sure I was satisfied. Super fast email response, very friendly. Can't say enough good things about these guys. Highly recommended.

Bought a truck that want running from another shop. After they had it for over 3 months then owner just gave up on it. As soon as I got it if had Johnathon rebuild the idm. And the truck runs great. I am the first to say that I hate phone calls, however when a potential customer request a phone call to get some answers and to test the businesses knowledge I will call that potential customer to answer any question he or she has. Here is the response I got from them."Sorry, I hate phone calls, but here's the low-down.We disable PATS in the PCM, and then you'll need to unplug the PATSmodule, a block box with a green plug located 6"-8" above theaccelerator pedal to stop the Theft light on the dash from flashing.This has no effect on the door keypad, key fobs, or the remotelock-unlock functions, and it will let you start the vehicle with anordinary non-chip key. Cost is $150.00 and gets done the same or nextday after the PCM gets in.If the customer in running a programmer, they will need to put the PCMback to stock before sending it in. If they are running a Hydra chip,and have PATS enabled, they will need to reprogram the Hydra withCalifornia F-Series programs. The Excursion programs from PHP all havePATS enabled!"
