Horrible customer service. They have little to no knowledge of items in store. Or items in stock. A lot of items are overpriced and you can find them cheaper at any other parts store. When you finally get past all of that you have to wait in a line while the employees talk amongst themselves about things that are not work related. Today I walked in and tried to make a purchase . I wanted to clean my car. I grabbed the items and got in line. As I m up there it eventually came my turn to check out. Instead of the cashier telling me to come up she got distracted and let someone else get in front of me in line. (ALL THIS CUSTOMER HAD TO DO WAS WALK IN AND ASK HER A QUESTION!! AND SHE IMMEDIATELY BRUSHED ME OFF TO HELP THEM AT THE REGISTER. THEN SHE LEFT THE REGISTER ) I had already waited ten mins. I left my selected items in the store and drove to Oreilly where I know they would take care of me. Idk how this place is staying in business. EVERY-TIME I COME HERE IM LET DOWN. I was in and out oreilly in 2 mins. With the items I needed and saved 5$.

I absolutely love Doing Business With Advance Auto Parts. They Are reliable, They Take The Time Out to Assure That I and other Customers Like Myself are Well Satisfied With their Professional Customers.. They Even Took the time, out to Walk outside and look at My Vehicle diagnosed The Problem and to Made Sure I Would Be purchasing the right parts For My Truck..(God Forbid).. Today got to advance online the opening time is 730 am and on the door it says 730 am. I'm at the door at 745 am they see me at the door n continue to look for stuff n sit down at the chair instead of telling me their not open. I'm standing outside in the cold.unprofessional and not satisfied at all.

I went in here for hub caps, as always they are very helpful. I came another day because I needed a new battery. Imagine my frustration. They helped me out by getting me the correct battery and installing it for me. If it's not in the store they will order what you need. The entire staff is knowledgeable friendly and helpful. Let me end by saying, I used to go to "that other store", I'm a true fan of this one now.

The employees were kind and personable. I needed a new battery installed and the process was very easy. I had several options at varying prices, and was able to choose one that fit my budget. I appreciate that installation is free.

I came in July 14th to have my battery checked. The young man that helped me was very nice and patient with my son and I. Unfortunately, I had issues after the installation of the new battery which lead to my vehicle shutting down completely on the hwy. My vehicle has been in the shop for 3 weeks as a result. I later found out that many of the workers employed at Advance (in general) don't really have any experience working on vehicles or knowledge. I spoke with a floater, who stated she wanted to go back to her store because people at the Sumter location asked to many questions and she didn't know the answer. All she's suppose to do is answer the phone and look in the system for the parts. It just blew my mind when she said that because we as consumers assume that if your working there then you knowledgeable about cars. But....Again, the young man helping was sweet but had I known he wasn't too familiar or knowledgeable I would've just gone to the dealership and have it done. It would've save me unnecessary money, frustration, and inconvenience. So I would recommend to anyone to just get your parts there do not have anything installed unless you know the person doing the installation actually knows what they are doing.

Michelle is wonderful and Kayla, and usually have the greatest experience but since they're new boss Bryan started they haven't answered the phone, I've witness customers walk out because he wouldn't help them. And just he's doing a poor job at managing.

I went to this location to get brake pads the employee asked me what type of vehicle, I gave him the make model & year of the vehicle he brought me back two sets of brake pads they were wrong the size.Returned to exchange them and was given a refund and then told that they did not have my size brake pads but that I can purchase ones that were twice the amount as the original ones.I don't know about all of you but I know that if I purchase something and you sell it to me and it's wrong then you should compensate me for something it should never have to come to the point that I have to go to another store to purchase the same item waste gas and time and have someone be so nonchalant as to say oh well too bad for you if you don't want to buy the more expensive brand.As far as I know I've heard and seen other comments as to the same issue I experienced and it doesn't seem to change. So either management needs an overhaul or they need qualified employees.

I went to Firestone for help first and they rushed me and were very rude so I went over to advance and a man named David was very helpful took his time explained every question I had was very professional and egar to help I will definitely be returning to the store if I need something in the future !

Advance Auto has went way down. Their parts seem to be of 2nd quality & break a lot. I got a altenator & fuel pump from there that I had to do a warranty exchange on 2 times each befire finally getting a refund & going somewhere to purchase them. The new ones are still working perfectly & it has been quite a while. Some of the people that work at Advance Auto are nice but a lot just don't seem to care about their job. The stores here even started closing at 8 p.m. in November (that I found out) so I think they are about to go out of business. I don't buy anything from there now but fluids now.

I really like the staff here at AAP. I use the website to order my parts and then go pick them up. Last two times I have ordered batteries and picked them up and installed for free. They really need a battery backup for battery changes. Cars these days have way too many settings to lose without it. That's the reason for the 4 stars.

I LOST MY HUSBAND A MONTH AGO TO A HEART ATTACK AND HE DEALT WITH ALL OUR CAR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS. CONSEQUENTLY,I WAS A NERVOUS WRECK WHEN MY CHRYSLER WOULDN'T CRANK. WELL,THANK GOD FOR AARON M. HE WAS REASSURING, CONFIDENT AND KNOWLEDGEABLE. HE GOT MY 4 YEAR OLD SON AND I BACK ON THE ROAD IN A "NEW YORK MINUTE." I'LL DEFINITELY SUGGEST ADVANCE AUTO AND AARON TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY!

Go to the one by Food Lion on 5710 broad st ext. Called on a Sunday to see if they had a starter for a Mazda2, wasn't in stock (no biggy), asked to put one in order, kid gets my info, says it's been ordered and will come in that Tuesday around 8am. I ask if i needed to pay now or pay when i picked it up, said when i pick it up. Hang up, fast forward to Tuesday afternoon, call around 4pm to make sure it came in. Different guy is working and answers the phone, give him my info to look it up, he says he doesn't have anything on order. He then looks up the part, and tells me, "hmm, that's odd, that's not even a part Advanced Auto Parts can order. ". I call the other store, ask them to look it up, they say it's factory- directed so it takes longer and I'll have to come in and pay to put it in order and will be in in a week. Looked online to make sure I wasn't crazy and they do sell them online. Misinformation from that store. Not worth wasting time.

Great prices and actually good people sometimes you'll run into one nasty employee but other then that they have the best people working for them ever love the employees and there organized and clean

Great staff here I felt very comfortable coming to then with my battery they charged it checked it told me the information I needed to know all in a friendly manner not in a fake way.

Service engine light came on. Came here for them to plug it up and tell me what's wrong and it said bank1 cam sensor so we bought the part and changed it out in parking lot and had the lady recheck it Because the light was still on and she said it was still saying camshaft sensor and then told me the check engine light would go off on its ownsmh!
