Closed for relocation yet this necessary info has not been provided to Google. Also, their sign atda facility gives no indication of when or where business will resume. Place looks cleared out on inside, though vehicles are parked at location, customers are left unaware of how long there has been no active business services. Be advised.

So im not a customer I was an employee there the owner of the place is one of the worst people I've ever worked for he has no knowledge of cars so when he's talking to you about your car he knows as much as you he doesn't allow time for his employees to properly fix a car he wants it done as fast as possible write or not it leaves that's why tires and brakes where left loose by other employees. Talks down to the people he hires thinks he's better then you and me that a fact his equipment is 30yrs old so he doesn't have the proper tools for any job. Please if you need your car fixed don't go here for your sake you will regret it go to mikes auto way better techs over there and no I don't work there just trying to look out for people cause southern star is not a auto repair shop it's more or less a tire shop they need to stick to tires and leave the auto repair to the pros

Brought my tire in about a month ago with it flat, needing a repair. They put in a cheap plug that continued to leak, so I called about when I d be able to bring it in and stay with my car. The man on the phone told me I should come in at 8 or 8:15. So I go in at 8:03 and only one person is there saying he doesn t know if any of the mechanics are going to show up today, and tells me to just drop my car off, which isn t an option for me. So he says we ll just see what happens and then leaves. I stay for 30 min with no one checking in or talking with me whatsoever, and eventually just leave because of the wait and the bad customer service. They lost my business indefinitely, just communicate properly with your customers.

We talk all the time about how lucky we are to have found an utterly reliable auto mechanic in Southern Star! We trust Dao and Kevin 100% with our SUV, which we use for both farm transportation and cross-country travel. They take such good care of our car that they've saved us from having to replace it on at least two separate occasions, and they'll go to great lengths to meet your timing needs, too. We couldn't be happier with this skilled and trustworthy staff of mechanics.

Southern Star is amazing. I have never trusted a mechanic more than Dao He does high quality work for a very reasonable price. He's quick and keeps me informed about repairs and takes the time to explain why he's doing what he's doing. Most mechanics don't give me the time of day and just tell me what I should do. Dao is not like that. It's very evident that he cares about his customers. He has changed my oil, replaced my tires, fixed my alignment, replaced sensor, replaced spark plugs, and replaced a fuel pump. He goes out of his way to make sure I'm satisfied. He even gave me advice when I broke down and called upset because I didn't know what to do. I will never take my car to another mechanic as long as I live in the area.

I can't say enough good things about the people at Southern Star Tire & Automotive!!! When I had to have work done on my car they were very pleasant, professional, and gave me an estimate that matched the amount I researched on line. I have not had much luck working with automotive shops in the past but I trust Mr. Dow to do only what is needed without charging me for un-necessary repairs. He repaired my power steering with out having to replace the pump when I was told by another place that was what was wrong in addition to a long list of other things they "assured" me needed to be replaced. I am very grateful for the way I was treated there.

The team at Southern Star Automotive are very informative, friendly and competitive on pricing. They never try to push products or services I don't need. They make good recommendations for car service to keep my vehicles up to date with the required maintenance.

I bought tires for all the vehicles in the family over the past 10 years and had a perfect experience every time. Doh has been particularly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend them for price and quality service

We took my Honda Crx down there in mid December. We were told that they'd work in it into their sechdule and to not worry. Would followed was four months of them not messing with my car. Of them barely touching it. Of constant lying and telling us they'd work on it that weekend or that they ordered a part. The man behind the counter constantly ignored our calls. Had no respect and lied about the progress and status of my car. I wouldn't take a lawn mower here let alone a car. Go somewhere else. This place is absolute garbage.

Not only are the folks at Southern Star friendly and helpful, but they also provide excellent value for their work. They are proactive in identifying issues with our vehicles, not necessarily to increase their revenues, but sincerely attempting to keep us safe. The products they sell, while not considered top of the line, Hankook tires, for example, work very well, are long-lasting, and cost less than tires advertised more broadly. It's nice to do business with folks that call you by name and appreciate your patronage.

I called, they had my hard to find tire size in stick and got me in within 10 minutes and out about 15 or 20 minutes after that. They were great and so was their price! The folks were fast, friendly, and professional. Definitely recommend them over Wal-Mart.

Had a slow leak on a run-flat right rear tire. No leak was found at the valve, bead, or tire. Kevin decided to replace the valve stem. I thought the customer service and professionalism was excellent and he was trying to save me a second trip back if it leaked again. I will be back for all of my tire needs.

Had both my front wheel bearings replaced 3 years ago. Cost me $600+ for them both. Today I had to replace the front right because it was so bad.Bad to the point that they needed to replace it right away. I found out that my front left is also bad. So the two bearings I got three years ago did not last 3 years. I had only a one year warranty for the bearings from here. This place sucks. I shouldn t have to replace BOTH of my bearings again. They should have lasted a lot longer than 3 years. I m almost positive they gave me used parts and over priced it. Especially for used parts. I would never go back to this place.

I brought my 10 year old Ford Explorer Sportrac because of very sluggish run and took it back after couple of weeks! I am so happy and very satisfied after intricate overhaul performed by Southern Star. They performed efficient job. I am thankful of their diagnostic ability, reliability. I would not hesitate to bring to them my other two vehicles for any problem thatI may have.

They should change their name to Zero Stars because that is what they deserve. It s a shame I have to give them one. This place was recommended by a friend of mine, and I know also that my stepfather uses them. I grew up in Oconee County and, even though I live near Atlanta now, I still know a lot of people around there. I was up visiting and my Jeep broke down. I had a choice of places to have it towed to but chose this one because they said they could complete the repair promptly. And that part they did. Unfortunately, that night while I while I was driving back to Atlanta, the clutch malfunctioned again. I managed to limp back home. The following Monday morning I took the Jeep to a Jeep dealership, who told me that the repair by Southern Star failed because they used parts from O Reilly Auto Parts and not OEM parts. The dealership fixed the problem (took off the O Reilly parts and put on the correct OEM parts), I wrote them a check for $2200, and all is well with the Jeep.Another issue is the attitude of the small man who apparently handles all customer relations. He was never friendly toward me, to the point that if I could have done it without a lot of hassle, I would have removed the Jeep from his shop and taken it elsewhere. Unfortunately that would have involved calling another tow truck, paying tow fee, etc. In hindsight that is what I should have done.I gave him my phone number twice, but he never called me to let me know the status of the repairs. Instead, he (or someone) opened my glove compartment, retrieved my registration information to obtain my name, then went into their records (I had a truck repaired there once before) and called an old phone number a complete failure to listen and follow simple instructions and use the correct phone number. They they left my registration and insurance papers strewn across the front passenger seat with a huge grease smudge across the front in the shape of a finger or thumb. There was oil or something all over a portion of the steering wheel when I picked up the Jeep.At no time did they make any effort to cover the seats and floorboard with paper mats to avoid getting them dirty or greasy. The man tells me to bring the parts back and he will refund for the parts (because he can take them to O Reilly and get a refund himself).I am an attorney. He will be lucky if I do not go to the small claims court in Walhalla and file a lawsuit, claiming not only the entire cost of the repair, but also attorney fees and consequential damages (the difference between what he said he would complete the repair for and what I actually had to pay the dealership to do it the right way.)If the man hates his job so much that he cannot treat his customers with respect and courtesy, he might need to look into getting a job in a cubicle somewhere so that he does not have to interact with people.I will obviously never take another vehicle there, and furthermore I will tell all my friends and family in Oconee County that if you rely on Zero Star to do quality work, you do so at your own significant risk.

I'm new to the area and was beyond need of brakes and a 100k inspection on my Genesis. Dao had my car on the lift with a fair quote within minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. 5/5 would recommend

Not sure how this place has such good reviews. Went here back in February and was told I needed over 1500 dollars in repairs. Was told I needed new CV axels along with several other things (like shocks, bearing, all new tires, etc). My first mistake was obviously making it known that I didn t know much about cars, so I m sure Dao used that to his advantage. I didn t end up repairing anything although I knew something wasn t right with my car. When I got home to where I m from, I had to end up getting my car towed because a bolt in my break caliper was loose and that was actually the cause of all the issues. Every mechanic that has looked at my car since says that my cv axles and shocks are in perfect condition and that they were just trying to get me to spend money since I didn t know any different. I feel like people should be aware that they were overpriced and not honest.

I used to use them for all my car service; but do NOT anymore! Owner hardly there now, leaving a young kid in charge. They tried to talk me into $1,200 for struts. When questioned; said ALL 4 were bad, gas somehow escaped! Two other places inspected them, saying no problems. It took them 2hrs to do oil change & tire rotation!!(I had an appt!) My parents, friends, all no longer go there

They are very knowledgeable. I have been going to them since I moved here 3 years ago. My current vehicle is runing like a new car. My previous vehicle had an issue that 5 others shops couldnt figure out. They knew exactly what it was when I described the issue to them and fixed it. I would highly recommend them.

If you think your gonna align your front tires on and 80s model Toyota trucks, 4x4 . They say their computer s don't go back that far and they can't do it. Whatever happens to invested in your company. Theirs many many 4x4 Toyota s on the road still. They can not align then at all... never will call them again

I was very satisfied with the quality of work that Southern Star Tire and Automotive did to my truck. It is very hard to find a reliable mechanic but I truly feel Southern Star Auto is the place.
