Back in January, I took my car to Pat s because my car was having issues. I was told it could be my transmission. Pat took a look at it. He said he preferred not to touch Honda transmissions and referred me to Hendricks Honda in West Ashley. He told me they re good and will take care of me. They had taken great care of previous clients. I was iffy about taking my car back to a dealer because a previous dealer messed it up. I ended up taking it there that same day and they took GREAT care of my car. It turned out to be a small fix, not my transmission. THANK YOU Pat for your honesty and great recommendation!!

Pat and his workers are the best. My transmission went out on me 3 weeks before I had to leave for California. They looked at every option for me and decided that they would build it themselves. They got it done with a week and a half before I had to leave. I broke it in and they looked at it for me to make sure I had no problems before I left. I drove all the way from Charleston to San Francisco with no problems at all. Thank you guys for doing absolutly wonderful work.

Had an issue with my transmission and took it to Pats for service. They diagnosed the issue and said the transmission needed to be rebuilt. After rebuilding the transmission shifting was still not quite right. I must say that they stuck with it and got the transmission working properly. I was very pleased with the outcome and thankful that they stood behind their work. Would highly recommend them to anybody that needed transmission rebuilding. This is a very busy shop but they were still able to accommodate me even though it took about two months to get to the final repair. Their staff is very knowledgeable and was helpful in working with me to identify the problem.Service: Transmission

Chuck is the best, down to earth and very knowledgeable, teamed up with the master of transmissions, Pat! The entire team at Pat's transmissions will fit you in their extremely busy shop and get you back on the road with transmission work and rates that are hard to beat if at all. Bring a sense of humor, patience, and Southern manners and your car will run better than ever. Chuck and staff were great!! Transmission had issues in my daughter's car. Took it to Ford and warranty company would not pay them to replace. Pats went out of there way to make sure we were taken care of and all claims filed properly through the warranty company. Will definitely recommend Pat's Transmission

Had to replace the transmission in our 2016 Ford F350 Dooley work truck used for lots of hauling of our heavy equipment. Reasonably priced, professional, and 2 week turn-around. We were very pleased with the results as well as the whole experience. Will utilize them again in the future and highly recommend them to everyone reading this review.Thank you Pat's Transmission Service!

My Husband works for Pat, You can't find a better shop to take your car to for work, Pat's is an honest shop, your car is done right and they don't add any extra charges without your knowledge, I highly recommend this Auto Shop.

Great service, very professional shop! I have an older car that needed a clutch and some drive train seals replaced. They are very busy so it was a bit before they could schedule me in. Once in the shop they took the time to do it right! Pat explained the repairs to me and told me what to watch out for. New clutch works great, no more leaks! I've been using Pat's transmission for years and they have taking care of a lot of trucks for me. Chuck is real straightforward guy and tells you like it is. They will get the job done and they know exactly what they're doing.that I highly recommend them!

Best transmission place ever. All of the employees are extremely knowledgeable and know what they are doing. They replaced the transmission in my 06 ram 2500 and checked my differentials almost a year ago. I have had zero problems since then. They are always there to answer any questions you have and stand by there work 100% I would never take my truck any where else for transmission or differential needs. I drive up from georgia because I want the best working on my truck and they are the best. I highly recommend them. Definitely take your car or truck there if you want the highest quality work done by knowledgeable professionals.

Great service and honesty. They have a long history of good reviews from friends I know. Recently I had my 2008 Suburban transmission replaced and it was all straight forward and the price was good. Then they helped me find a transmission shop in Nashville, Tn for my nephew and that saved him $1,500 versus the dealer. Thanks go to Chuck and Pat and the crew!BPMt. Pleasant, SC

Only into the rebuild 800 miles or this would be 5 stars. 12 month/12,000 mile warranty so I'm feeling great about the work done by Chuck and his veteran transmission team on my 2001 Silverado with 144, 441 miles. The price was fair and the turnaround great. Happy customer here !!! Vaughn Burns - West Ashley

I drove to Pat's ready and willing to spend the 2500 I was expecting to pay for a new transmission, and during the FREE DIAGNOSTIC, they found a simple issue that was causing the noise. They didn't make me wait hours or take my trans out for no reason, they took the 5 minutes, and sorted me out completely. Also nice shop and great guys!

I took my ford focus there, they achieved 2 out of my 3 request only after the bill doubled and I paid nearly $40 extra for punishment since I didn't have $1500 in cash and I used my bank card.I was told all repairs were done, I get there drivers door handle is still in back seat, guy says tab that holds it in is broken, Well, you had no problem calling and telling me you were adding $800 to fix the air.I am truly disappointed since I chose Pat's due to reviews.

Took my 4wheel drive in to repair the differential in the front, it was making a growling noise. Left my Jeep there for over 3 weeks and then finally got a call my Jeep was done. On pickup the the Jeep I was informed that the rear differential was rebuilt and not the front. I was told that what was making the noise and I should not have a problem. As I drove away thee noise which was the reason the Jeep was brought in for was still there! I called back and was instructed to bring the Jeep back so they could check things out. After another two weeks I was told the reason the noise was happening was because too different sized tires were on the front and if I installed new tires the noise would go away, two additional service items were recommended which I approved. When I picked up the Jeep I asked what they were going to do about the bill which I paid on the rear differential which was to solve my noise problem. I was informed they would not refund my money even thou the repair was not approved nor did it take care of the problem for which the Jeep was brought in for. I suggested we split the bill on the rear differential and proceed with trying to figure out what the real problem is. I was told they would not refund any money and I could sue them if I waned to. I have since filed a small claims lawsuit against them and would not recommend them for any repairs. They maybe skilled in certain areas but the management staff is argent and very hard to deal with. They are not customer orientated and pray on customers ignorance on mechanical issues, stay away!

In these days and times it is very hard to find good service in the auto industry. I have taken my vehicle here for a couple different issues and they have been very helpful. Chuck on the front end (Drum Roll!) was very helpful and attentive every time I called. Pat on the shop side was spot on with everything. Pat and Chuck are the best! Very reputable and trustworthy. They wont try to sell you what you dont need. This is the 3rd vehicle transmission I've had redone by Pat's and while I hope I don't have to do another one, I know where I'll go if I have to. You can trust Pat's to do it right.

Well worth the trip to Ravenel. Chuck keeps the guys in line and moving forward with the jobs. Pat knows his stuff inside and out. The customer service letters on the wall say it all. If you need your car checked out take it out to Pat's, they won't steer you wrong. They are truly some of God's great car angels

I took my 98 Tacoma here. Was expecting to drop it off and hear back in a few days but I was there for five minutes and pat himself took me for a ride in my truck and diagnosed my trans problem. Then he took me back to the shop to show me the parts and the problems that were happening with synchros etc. I received an estimate a few days later. The work actually came in over the estimate but that's because one of the plates was stripped. He tried to fabricate a plate to save money but had to order one in the end. I would much rather have the job done correctly and spend a little extra so I was happy. The only thing I didn't like so much was I had to call them to get the estimate and to find out that my truck was done. They could do a little better at keeping in contact. Overall, excellent honest experience and highly recommended.

Took my Range Rover to three different transmission specialty shops and was told by all three that I needed a new transmission. A friend referred me to Pat's transmission in Ravenel and I am glad I went. After a thorough diagnostic, all I needed was a tune-up and a transmission solenoid replacement. Since Pat's took the time to see what my issue was instead of being lazy and telling me I needed a new transmission, I saved over $5,000 on a new one. Great business, honest and professional!!!

My auto repair business has used Pat's Transmission Service for several automatic transmission repairs. Chuck and Pat are extremely professional and helpful. When an issue arose after one job, they bent over backwards, going above and beyond the norm to make sure the problem was remedied, even though solving the problem was more time consuming than the original repair. I highly recommend Pat's to everyone.

Pat's is an excellent value. I am always surprised how much work they do for not much money. They just replaced my Chevy radiator, hoses, serviced the trany and replaced my AC unit. They tuned my Acura for half what most places would charge.

Being from New York, we tend to be skeptical when looking for any service or contracting companies. Pat's Transmission Service was recommended to us by a friend from Long Island. From the first contact with Chuck McCraw, we knew we had found an honest and fair repair shop. In addition, the entire crew took an interest in the problem with our transmission and went above and beyond to get the job done. Pat himself, who prefers to be "in the trenches" working "hands on" also was directly involved. These wonderful guys insisted they keep the car until they were 100% satisfied that they had fixed the problem. They truly went above and beyond what we were accustomed to and exceeded our expectations. When looking for an honest and trustworthy repair shop.....go to Pat's Transmission Service.

Chuck & Pat are first class! I would never take my vehicles anywhere else for differential or transmission work. They are honest, trust worthy and never recommend work that isn't needed!
