Drove in this morning around 930 am to get a single tire installed. Nope, we areToo busy. Made arrangements to come back at 4 pm. Got me in right away, tire off, and it sat for 2 hours and only because I kept asking for a manager it finally got done. Surly, miserable and extremely lazy employees for the most part. This job should be 10 minutes max once you get in on a lift. I will never go back. Any other tire store would be embarrassed.

Went for an oil change, the guy said he couldn t get my filter off, but really meant to say he could not put it back on all the way. Engine leaked oil all over my garage floor. I lost two quarts of oil before discovering this problem. Had to go to another place with a regular mechanic who had not problem. I was lucky my engine didn t seize up.

Today I waited over 3 hrs to get 1 tire put on I was checked in at 8:50 am and checked out after 12 noon that s unacceptable the individual who put my tire on put 43 PSI in it and did not raise the PSI in the other 3 tires so I m riding down the expressway feeling like I m floating on air so I had to stop and add air to the other tires he also didn t even have the decency to even put my spare tire back under the truck very poor service today Auto Center please do better

The Worst service I was so happy the Manager was thereWent to Walmart @Tanger 8 am this morning 1/13/2024 for an oil change and tire rotation, my car was the second car to be serviced, 9:30 my car was taken the technician decline to service my car Louis B, saying I had a oil leak and no oil was in the carMy service light came on yesterday and I was at 15%Then I called the Manager and he told the manager it was a small leak mean while I called my daughter to see if oil was on the driveway, no oil was on my driveway! So the oil was changed but he didn t do the tire rotationWhen the server called him he ignored her so I had to speak with the manager again about my tire rotation in which another technician was assigned to do the tire rotation.From 8:00 am - 11:30 I was trying to get an oil change and tire rotationThankful the Manager Antawan being there to address the problem

I had a disappointing experience at the North Charleston Walmart auto center. I went in for a simple oil change, received a text at 2:57 stating the vehicle was being serviced, and another at 3:43 saying the service was complete. Upon attempting to pay, I was informed they couldn't change the oil because the drain plug was stripped. Waiting nearly an hour without any prior communication about the issue was frustrating. Additionally, one would expect an auto center to have the tools, like a special socket for stripped drain plugs, to handle such situations more efficiently.***UPDATE***I took my car to a local mechanic and he changed the oil with no problems whatsoever. He said that he had no trouble getting the drain plug out. I should have no that this place was sus when I arrived to check-in and could barely hear the lady that I was talking to for the three employees behind her loudly talking, one of which was cramming his face with Chinese food and sniffing a lot while exclaiming that he was accused of stealing his own car.

Got vehicle serviced on today, took almost 3 hours, then getting on the interstate I filthy vibration I get home three Lugnuts on one wheel aren t flush like the other two come to find out that they strip Tillman and then they switched out a lug nut on the wheel on the opposite side with a Gold one, and didn t tell me that they strip that as well and now I have to go get my vehicle, serviced to see whether or not a stud on the wheels, or stripped as well

I wait 6h to get an oil change and get my tires balance. I was the 5th person in line when they opened. It was tired of wait waiting. They need more help in the auto department.

Just got my 8 years old Toyota battery and tire replaced at Walmart. People are very nice and informative. I plan to go more for oil change and tire rotation.

DO NOT go here. Long story short cashier does not pay attention when your checking in she entered the wrong tire to be serviced, mechanics do not use tire gages to verify tire pressure they put 52lbs of air in my tire, a tire they shouldn't have worked on and and they don't return your wheel lock key. A week later I started feeling vibrations coming from the rear of my truck, I went to a trusted tire shop to see what's causing this vibration that's when I realized Walmart never returned my wheel lock key, so now I have to schedule an appointment with my dealership to see if they can match the key if not cut it off and buy replacements which Walmart says they will reimburse me for. This service center needs to be closed. If a mechanic is not using the very basic tool a tire gauge to verify tire pressure I wonder what else their not doing at this shop. I will be filling a complaint with BBB (Better Business Bureau) and ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) I received this poor quality work on Aug 24 2022.Service: Auto tire replacement

I went for oil change and tire rotation. Apparently the last time I had my tires rotated at this location they stripped the lug nut on my rear tire. Today, when I went to check out, I questioned why my tires were not rotated? No one bothered to tell me that the lug nut was stripped until I checked out. I was then told that I have to take it elsewhere to be repaired and then bring it back to them to rotate my tired. Why would I take it back to them? Horrible service, the cashier, lazy and unhelpful practically laying on the counter. The service people unhelpful. Walmart damaged my lugnut but I m expected to take it elsewhere at this point to be fixed and pay someone else because they don t have the tools to fix it. This is ridiculous. I will never take my vehicle there again. THANKS FOR NOTHING! If I could give 0 stars for their trash service I would.Services: Tires, Oil change

This is my second visit with them this week and this experience was just as good as the first. Same friendly professional customer service. Very polite and super helpful. They had my tires replaced before I was finished grocery shopping. Talk about perfect timing.

Worst decision ever! I got here before they even opened to get an easy tire change. At 10:50 they hadn't even looked at my car. It took 3 almost three hours to change tires. Next time Gerald's Tires will be getting my business. I would also like to note the the lady at the service desk was most unfriendly and totally disorganized. She even misplaced several sets of keys. Customer servicd gets zero stars!

Interesting how the first review I saw said, I was greeted with all smiles because I wasn t. I ve worked in customer service most of my young life. But enough to know the power we have as employees when customers walk into an establishment already frustrated because of the various reason(s) that cause them to need a hotel room; a new fridge; a new tire; etc. In this particular situation, I need a new tire. I m young. I don t know a thing about cars, but now I see how important it is to learn because the people s who job it is to assist and serve in the matter aren t always pleasant or helpful. This was a very unpleasant experience. I was told it would take 45 minutes to get a new tire installed I ve been here for over 2 hours sitting in my car with my sick child and my elderly mother. When I went in to ask how much longer, a cashier asked someone else if any of the guys are back from lunch she had to ask twice before anyone even responded to her and a few employees were standing right there. She then said, They should be coming soon. I still got no concrete answer. I get that some customers can be unreasonable. I get that work can be very overwhelming most days, but when you re serving the public you have to be polite, pleasant, and helpful. Not dry, careless, and have no since of understanding or urgency. It s the job we sign up for! I tell myself this everyday at work when my feelings try to get the best of my work attitude and my work presence. My feelings don t get a vote. However, no one in the place has smiled or been warm since I got here. Very cold, dry place. I will never come here again.

Stop by to get a simple oil change. I tried to call to see if that was a long wait and no one answered the phone. I tried several times. So I went anyway Just to find out there was a up to 3 hour wait. They must be severely understaffed. I travel a lot and usually get my oil changes from Walmart. I've always had a pleasant experience. The wait was usually no more than an hour. This was my first bad experience. I guess it wouldn't have been so bad if they answered the phone and saved me a drive over there.

Really wish I could give this place ZERO STARS! Don't waste your time or money there. Bought a tire here less than thirty days ago, and also purchased a road hazard warranty. Needless to say the tire blew out, and after THREE attempts of going to the store after work and being told that they can't service me even though I got there at least an hour before closing each time. Asks to speak with management, and explains my car is stranded on the side of the road. Manager only tells me that they can't help me because they are overloaded and closing soon. Head to Gerald's and they are able to help me and replace my tire FREE OF CHARGE! I also decided to call corporate who only tells me that the only thing they can do is allow a salaried manager call me back within three business days, UNACCEPTABLE! I'll NEVER let these inconsiderate incompetent FOOLS service my vehicle ever again!!!

I ordered tires online and had them shipped to the store. I dropped my car off and had the tires installed. I received a call a few hours later and my car was ready to be picked up. This is my second time ordering tires here and the service was great both times.

Rep who answered the phone kept hanging up. Called in to see if they had my size tire in stock and was immediately hung up on, figured it was a mistake and called back, halfway through giving the tire size, I get a we don't have it!! and she hung up again. Never againService: TiresService: Tires

This is the best Walmart auto care center in Charleston. The one on St. James is horrible, but this one they really know what they are doing. They fixed my toms problem that was messed up by the St.James location and got the job done rather quickly, even though we weren't there super early! Definitely recommend!

Aweful place for tires. They should fire the whole department. Called this morning to get a quote on tires and service. Had to call twice cause they couldn't be bothered to answer the first time. Second time it rang for 2 minutes before they bothered answering. They answered with a yes. Just. A. Yes. Asked if it was Walmart to make sure they said "Yeah... Just hold on." Then hung up on me. That's cool. I'll go buy my next four tires at Gerald's Tires. Where the customers money still means something.

I have the warranty for my tires there refused to honor it stating the tread was too low. My tires are brand new, the trend indicator on the tire states i have more that 2/32 tread left which is covered. They are crooks and just want your sales

Went to get a tire plugged and wheels rotated. It took them all of 2 hours to accomplish this task, and they weren't very busy at the time. On my way home my tire fell off pulling off the highway! It took 10 months to get a check from Walmart for the expenses. If you value your life dont go here!

The line was too long & barely moved. The mgr was in the back & the woman behind the register clearly needed help. I had to get a tire repaired that had a warranty. She looked up everything bu the phone number. However, she still processed it as brand new. It came to 92.00. I asked her about the warranty & she wanted to know when the tire was purchased. I told her it was under the phone number. She pulled it back up & saw the warranty. Then, the mgr comes out of the back (after approx 35 mins). She explained the situation & the mgr redid it (after consulting a tire tech from the back). I had a 41.00 credit, but it came to 62.00. I still can't figure out where the 11.00 went. After being in there for almost 3 hrs, I didn't even care about it.

This post is a hard one for me to write because I really hate reviewing badly. However I ordered some tires from walmart.com and had them shipped to this store for someone as a gift. No one told me that I had to pick them up within any specific time frame. Well what happens , she goes to get them put on and they are not there. It turns out they sold them. Huh ! Wait did I hear that correct , yes they sold them . I am livid and what did they do to help? Nothing , they told me it was out of their hands. Oh really . Is that so . Ok what is Walmart. Com doing. Well they told me they were issuing me a replacement set. Won't be in till Nov 28, she's having her baby next week.. when I asked how they were going to help me and make this right they offered me 5$. I can't even believe they insulted me like that. I am so upset , this is not at all how this should have been handled. Walmart should be compensating me for selling my tires not saying it is out of their hands . And Walmart .com you should be ashamed of ur self .

The only reason that the auto center is getting five stars from me is because of two employees Jermaine Heyward and Antwaun the manager over the auto department I received a text message that my car was ready to be picked up however all the workers decided to take a break at the same time leaving nobody at the desk I sat there and waited with Jermaine and he tried to get one of the workers attention however that worker just walked off after 20 minutes had passed Jermaine got up on his scooter (his leg was hurt) and scooted over to find that same worker and came back and told me that the same guy who walked off would call for help these two showed exemplary customer service and I thank them both.Service: Oil change

Showed up at 4:34 and was told they stop taking cars at 4:30. Not pleased especially since I drove twenty minutes there. What baffled me was they had two open garage spaces. Customer service could ve been better. The guy at the counter would rather flirt with another worker than practice respectful and mannerly customer service. This isn t the first time I ve received poor customer service from this branch. If you don t plan on getting there early, don t waste your time.

Walked in the door, the gal was very nice, quoted price and got me right in. I would highly recommend if you need tires trust Walmart, also was a good price.....thank you, also service manager Twan over saw everything the whole time to make certain all was done properly and in an efficient amount of time
