I came to this pep boys for an inspection. I got here a little after 11 am. An older man was at the counter alone no one was in the waiting area. I told him why I came in he told me they didn't have anything available. I leave. My husband tells me that I have an appointment at 1:30 . I go back in a little after 12 another man is behind the counter he asks me to wait he is on hold. The older man comes out. Don't even acknowledge I'm standing waiting. The younger man asks if he can help. I tell him about my appointment. He tells me the computer Doesn't know how much work they have and he will not be able to honor the appointment. Why make appointments when you can honor them? The system should just be based on walk-ins

Dropped my car off for an alignment, was told that it was completed, when I arrived they had told me that one part of the alignment had not been completed due to a seized bolt, they gave me a discount because the alignment wasn't "perfect". Well when I drove it down the road it had the same issues as before, I took a look under the car to see that not a single cam bolt was touched on the car and went back for a refund. The fact that they would try and charge someone for work that wasn't completed is criminal.

My appointment was as at 12. The online appointments are a joke. I was told it was first come first serve so I waited 2 hours my car still hasn't moved. Originally I was told an hour to and hour and a half for completion. With over 2 hours waiting I asked for an updated timeline he said it was first come first serve but 2 cars were towed in and they take precedent. " First Come first serve " lie .I understand waiting for maintenance but give me a realistic time line. I have no other transportation. I would have ubered home if you gave me and appropriate time line .

Johnny and Jesse were awesome. We were headed home to Atlanta and had a tire start to separate. It was on a Sunday morning. Went to Walmart Auto first and they were AWFUL. I called Pep Boys and they said come see us. Within an hour we had 2 new tires and were on our way. Thanks guys!!!

Had to go into these guys more than a few times unfortunately, overpriced tire repair, and had more than a few issues with my truck and had to take it in 3 consecutive days in a row because they did not fix it each time. Eventually took it somewhere else, and they fixed it right away. I don t know much about cars so was unsure what was wrong with it. These guys were just looking to steal my money and screw me over in replacing stuff that didn t need to be replaced in order to fix the problem at hand. Will not be going back.

Whoever it was who installed my wheels onto my tires dented and scratched my rims. Got the job done but definitely scratched up and dented in the lips of my $2000 dollar rims.

I came to buy a tire for my car, I arrived at 4:10 and I stayed waiting until 7:35 for them with my car and without anyone explaining to me why it took them so long just to mount a tire, there weren't even enough customers in the place to say that was the reason and if they didn't do it they would have simply told me that it couldn't be done and I would come back another day or go somewhere else It's the first time I've made a review like this but very bad service! !!!

Great experience! Chris at the North Charleston location was beyond helpful. Put off getting new tires for a while and Chris made it stress-free. After looking through multiple websites for the best deal, Chris was able to get me a better quality tire for a better price.Thank you Brother

The service I received from Pep Boys was very good. I was able to get all the work that was needed and the tires that fit my truck in one place. I was not pressured to purchase items that was not needed. The work was done in a timely manner and ready when it was promised. When I got into my truck and left their property I felt like I had a new truck.Great job Pep Boys!

I got a flat and didn't realize until after work. They did try to patch it but the hole from the screw u ran over was too big. Very nice man named Tim helped me out, explained things and was just fun to talk to. I'm satisfied with my service and the price was very reasonable, less than I've paid at other places.

My Service at Pep Boys on Rivers in North Charleston was great! They were thorough and timely. I prefer to drop my car off to get the best "unhurried" experience.

I came to pep boys because all my lights was on, on my dashboard. Mr. Tim explained to me everything that needed to be done one was an oil changed. And when I tell you my money IS short it IS short he said you don't have to pay for the OIL changed I will pay for it for you that made me VALENTINES DAY. Thank you pep BOY'S for this Angela Mr. Tim BECAUSE I AM IN BETWEEN MOVING BACK HOME WITH IN THE NEXT WEEK.

Been standing here in line with 3 people for over 20 minutes and not an employee in sight. The place is packed with waiting customers though and the phone is ringing off the hook. After waiting 10 minutes more the assistant store manager appeared to tell me he can't do them today . This place is a joke

Shout out to Chris at Pep Boys. The crew fixed our vehicle, only to later realize the original fix didn't address the true problem. Chris made it right by giving us a full refund for the work and communicating in a clear, kind, and professional way throughout the issues. Chris is one of the best out there!

There were no hand towels available in the unisex restroom at 10:45 a.m. The trash can was fooled as if it has not been emptied in over a day. There is no courtesy water for thirsty customers.

Never coming back here again. Scheduled an appointment to have tires replaced on my wife s Expedition. Get to the store and he had to check to see if they had the tires even though they were purchased and scheduled a week prior. It took an hour after my scheduled appointment time before they even took the vehicle back and then took another 2 hours to replace the tires. Absolutely ridiculous that it takes them this long. Discount Tire would have had me in and out in 45 minutes with a scheduled appointment.

Takes for forever to get anything done. I had an appt, took 30 mins to check in, and another 30 mins to check out after they finally told me it would only be a couple more minutes. This is what I get for not going to Gerald s.

Issue was 3 hour wait for work to be completed. First come first serve inspite of reservation. Mgr was kind to offset some of the fee due to issue. Work performed seems to be great.

I called and was helped by Johnny when choosing services and making my appointment, he was beyond helpful. When I arrived I was helped by Chris who was incredible and updated me throughout the day. They worked with me and made the entire experience comfortable and positive, I didn t know mechanics could do that. Thank you!

Best Pep Boys in Charleston. The manager Chris Peery is awesome. Do not go to the Pep Boys off of Savannah Hwy if Brian McCray is still there. This location is amazing and so is Chris, Johnny and Tim.

i just came in for a diagnostic appt and it went by really quickly :) the two guys at the front were nice and patient about explaining why my car was in such bad condition and since they couldnt really do anything for me they called it complimentary and suggested someplace else that could help me out so i recommend to anyone in a bind theyre quick and courteous

Took almost 4 hours for new tires and oil change even with an appointment and the shop did not appear that busy. They did not reset my oil light. My steering wheel is now crooked and there are greasy hand prints all over my car. They had a good deal on the tires but I won't be back

Even though they are minimal manned and are flooded with customers, they still manage to get work done within a reasonable amount of time. You may have to drop your vehicle off with them, but they'll still get to you within a day. Excellent service and they keep you well informed. Please be nice to them and they'll take care of you.

Overpriced definitely not professional everything isn't a $2000 job problem didn't need to be addressed and the guy proceeded to tell you that something will fall off your car just thieves

Pep Boys has been the only auto shop I've dealt with through the years that has remained consistent with quality service and upgrades that make this experience easier to deal with. Whether it's an unforeseen situation or a planned visit, like the most recent one I had regarding my AC unit, Pep Boys and its crew has done an excellent job keeping me informed and handling the issue in a timely matter. I love the ability to not only book online, but to also receive vehicle updates and a digital copy of the customer report sent to your smartphone before checking out. I am very satisfied with the recent services I received.
