I took my wife's car in to maaco auto body to get painted. I was shocked with how well the car looks after the paint job. The car was so bad it had paint chipping off and it even had bare metal spots on it. Now this car looks like it's brand new. Also they were really quick with the turn around only had the car for three days. I would highly recommend them to painting a car.

Take my word for this make sure you record every single conversation every time you step foot into the place I wouldn't call this place a businesses they do nothing but lie to you and tried to shadey stuff they aren't number in auto body repair maybe number one in lies and mess up just look at my 10,000 body work and paint job they didn't even put the flakes like they were supposed to do and paid to do picture speak for themselves don't be fooled by them even cashed a check somehow that was made out to my daughter and them and it was cashed deposited somehow without my daughter signing the back of the check was supposed to replace frame but they only repair then told me that they replaced it until I started asked questions about it I found out the truth once I got the insurance adjustor back involved and they told him that they repaired it but just a few days before that they said they were waiting on the the check and couldn't release the vehicle until they got it they changed when I called an attorney

I'm not going to lie I looked a good bit of reviews after I made my first half payment and I was a little worried cause it seems folks had bad experience with this company...well I picked my car up and I am so!!!! Damn appreciative right now the work on my 08 mustang is amazing I would post pictures but it's raining at the moment but thank you maaco for what you have done with my dream car I love it. Oh by the way when bringing your car there expect it to be a week long atleast before getting it back and try not to rush the process that is if you want your car professionally done correctly.

Honestly, they do not even deserve the one star I am required to give to submit this review. This is by far the WORST, most DISHONEST and UNPROFESSIONAL business I have ever dealt with in my life. If you are considering using Maaco for any auto body needs, I strongly advise you not to. The photos speak for themselves. They DAMAGED my car. I was quoted 3-7 days from the "manager" Monique Thompson for a full paint job on my Chevy Camaro. At day 7, after no communication whatsoever from her or the shop, I called to check the status and she told me "I could tell you it'll be ready today but it might not be". What an answer. Then on day 9, yet again after no communication we reached out for another update and we're told it was done and drying and was guaranteed for pick up for the next day. Day 10 we show up because Monique said it was "guaranteed" only to find out it was not done, that someone had sprayed my car while doing another car and messed up the paint so they were "fixing it". When I asked her why I wasn't notified about their mess up and the delay she offered no explanation but still said it was guaranteed in a "few hours" knowing full well that I wouldnt able to take it that day with the paint being wet. I was lied to directly to my face. It was not ready that day. Day 14, I called before showing up this time, they tell me it's still not ready because they have to put the emblems back on. Day 15, I finally have my car back and it looks like this..... At pick up the man who drove my car sped through the parking lot in it, when I pointed out all of the issues I was told that the poor paint job and damage to the car was MY fault because I "rushed them" yet they had the car 2x the time I was told, when I asked for a refund they said it was "their car" until we paid them the second half of the payment, Monique neglected to communicate that their credit card machine was "down" and they were only excepting cash, EXACT cash only because somehow they had no change, they refused any kind of refund or compensation for the damage they cause and said they could only "fix it" but that it wouldn't be for several weeks and couldn't tell me when I asked realistically how long that would take. I had to pay the full price in EXACT CASH to get my keys and car back. I did not and will not allow them to touch my car again. Their poor treatment and destruction of others property, time, trust and money along with their very clear inexperience at doing the job they are paid to do does not give me any confidence in them "fixing" it. I am certain they will only do more damage. This business, their owner and their manager should be ashamed of the business they are doing but they have no shame and no remorse and do not care AT ALL about the customer.

I am exceptionally pleased with the paint job by MaacoMy 2005 ford now looks new again.I would also like to thank John who went the extra mile detailing my truck after painting. He did an exemplary job and I really appreciate his hard work.The front office staff was outstanding and answered all my questions and made sure everything was okay.I strongly recommend Maaco

Look at pictures. No quality control. Unhelpful owner and manager.Had truck for three weeks. Told me three times it was ready for pick up. Manager told me to have line x do there work first and install new door handles as well. First call ready to pick up. Large run on door. Over spray everywhere. After a few more go arounds with no help from owner my truck was the best they could do. I picked up in worst condition then before due to all the over spray. New door handles and trim spray painted black. Even sprayed window visor. Missing radio antenna. Painted over old sticker adhesive. To much to list. Paid full price.Service: Painting

I contacted Maco north to get bumper covers installed and painted. They did a great job. I have a 20 year old blazer which I will let them paint in two months. This is a show car and I feel very comfortable with them painting it a two tone color.Monique and the rest of her crew was very nice and respectful.Monique, the manager took her time with me showed me around and answered all my questions. Monique is such a nice person to deal with. She is why I'm going back in 2 months.

we went in to have my sons car painted, Monique told us the whole car should be painted because it was faded and wouldn't match if they only paint the hood. she worked up a quote for both and it was only $200 more for the whole car! they went over care for the paint when we picked it up. they are truly honest when they think the car would be finished, I don't see how the reviews are low. I will be speaking very highly of the maaco on Dorchester rd.!Service: Painting

Went to Maaco for paint and body work on my '78 TransAm. Boy oh boy what a great job they done. Tge staff was professional,courteous,and helpful. Would highly recommend Maaco for future auto endeavors.

Brought my BMW to Maaco for some front end body work. I was surprised with the finish job. Everything was perfect. The paint match up and body work was outstanding. Great job.

My tag was left off of my car when I picked it up after hrs.. also my bumper is lifting on both sides near wheel wield. Which it previously didn't do before or after wreck. (Wrong bumper).. my brand new head lights I installed right before I brought my car there are scratched and scuffed, both of em!

HORRIBLE...WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! So bad, it's almost unbelievable.! Manager, Quartreal is unprofessional and dishonest. Maaco had my car for SEVEN weeks (supposed to take 7-10 days) for repairs after a wreck. Got my car back after seven weeks and the back door won't open, the tint is off my back window (one window without tint!!), they broke the wood grain door handle and super glued it back then he tried to tell me it was broke when I dropped it off. I got pictures from the insurance adjuster of my car before they repaired it and I took pictures the day I picked it up. I have filed a formal complaint with Maaco and the Better Business Bureau. I should have trusted my gut instinct and took my car elsewhere but I've had work done at other Maaco's in the past without any problems. I wish I could post pictures with this review....you wouldn't believe it. If you take your car here, you WILL REGRET IT! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!! Not worth it to save a few bucks!! Pictures have been added!!Update: I have filed FOUR formal complaints with Maaco and still NOTHING. I'm now filing a complaint with the BBB and taking legal action. This place is AWFUL. They do not deserve to be in business

The paint was beautiful . The body work was outstanding . I would bring it back again, and I showed it to my friends and they were dumbfounded. Thanks for a outstanding job I love it!!!!!!!!

I got scheduled to get an estimate for paint job at 3:45. When I showed up, the lady at front desk said they close at 4 and cant take my car in for an estimate. I told her the person I spoke with on the phone the day before assured me they can do it in 10 minutes, took all my contact information and scheduled me for 3:45. She said no they stop taking cars in at 3:30 . I walked out , will not return. They could've called me to tell me they can't do it at 3:45. Wasted my time going there.

Very professional, they gave me a free estimate, and made sure my car was ready on time! Very satisfied with the bodywork repair, especially my front fender that has been broke for 10+ years. This paint job made a 15yr old car look brand new!

Working with Maaco and Monique has been a good experience so far. I expect to change the rating to five stars once they touch up a few areas in a week. But so far so good! My Highlander is nearly 17 years old so I was looking to change the color, remove some chips on the hood and just give it some all-around pop. I picked up my vehicle 2 days ago and I got exactly what I expected - a decent paint job, not perfection. If I were paying $5 to $10,000 for a custom paint job, my expectations would be much different. There are a couple of areas that didn't get enough coverage so I'm scheduled to take it back in a week. But the areas that were completed, look good. The final product will greatly depend on how much prep, sanding, etc you're willing to have done and pay for on your own or through Maaco.

Couple years ago Macco was the best body shop around but now is getting worse People work at paint not professional at all I got paint job on my front bumper first time they messed up paint different color I have to leave the car couple more days to fixed The person take out the front fenders liner and never put back on the car I ask the lady over the phone and she say we don t have any fender liners here On my second car paint the roof and overspray on top the roof The business not take responsibility Never back againService: Painting

Well the price was great the repainting was pretty good I was satisfy overall they left a few spots under head light not done. They lost my cover lens for my head lights so I took the cost of new one of the final bill. They don't call you with any updates you have to call or go by to see what going on with your vehicle. They got some paint on one of my tires and got some paint stuck in my trunk release. Suppose to take 3-5 days to complete but they had my car for 3 weeks.Service: Painting

The folks at this office took the time to make sure the job was done properly. The initial paint job had a few minor flaws, but before I could say anything, they noticed them, and repainted without argument. I appreciated the honesty and professionalism that was demonstrated. Horrible experience. Paid the premium package to have my car repainted and the fender to be evened out with the door. They did not complete the job that was asked and still charged me the full price. Nothing was done to the fender except for repaint. They did not call to inform me that the fender was not done as I wanted. They forgot to paint the rear spoiler and left it sanded down without paint (they did correct this after I asked them to), left scratches on both of the taillights, they took a microfiber towel that I had in the car. Also there was overspray on the inside of the side windows and on the car itself which is very noticeable in direct sunlight.They refused to work with me to resolve these issues. Avoid these people and their business. They are not professional. They do not care about their customers.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Maaco on Dorchester Road Charleston performed on time, within budget, and excellent work despite adverse weather hindering progress. Furthermore their employees are professional and courteous. We will certainly visit them again if body work is needed

I had work done to my truck back in 2022. I took it back on May 15 of this year for touch up work cause the job they did was was peeling. They didn't complete the touch up work and they sprayed over design I had on my truck. The manager acted like oh well deal with it. This was the WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD WITH A COMPANY.

Paint job was almost $900 worth $2! wish I took my car elsewhere didn t even cover my radiator just painted all over it. Said my paint was coming off because of old bondo job but my car has never peeled up until the day these people touched my car. It took an extremely long time and I had to keep going back (Feb.-Sept.). I finally was just so fed up and just took my truck as is, the paint job came ok nice! My truck has a whole new scratch on the front bottom bumper that it didn't have before I took it back this last time and my door latch for my trunk is ripped. Also I have paint the bled everywhere and I asked several times for it to be cleaned up and it's still there.
