I just wanted to take a second and share what a wonderful experience I had with these folks. Maggie was 100% professional and was able to get me in and out with zero problems. It's hard to find the type of service they provide. They have integrity and perform quality work! I highly recommend this wonderful people for all your trailer repair needs!! Satisfied customer !

I wanted to thank Charleston Trailer for quickly solving my electrical issue with my trailer. They have done great work for me in the past so I contacted Maggie Nielsen with my electrical problem. Instead of bringing in my trailer for a costly diagnosis, she was able to make a suggestion via email to check my tow vehicle tow fuses, and bingo, $4.00 later its fixed! Thanks you so much for your awesome service. You have earned my loyalty for ever.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! This is everything you want from a customer experience. They are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My boat trailer was finished in under 24 hours. I'll be going back for all of my trailer needs.

After 3 years of ownership I regret this trailer purchase. Drove three hours to CT to have my boat fitted and loaded on my new trailer. On return trip home the trailer tire blows out destroying the wheel well. CT did ship me another tire and replacement wheel well which I had to install. I took the trailer to a friend who owns a tire shop and he put 2 new tires on the trailer. After 2 weeks of ownership the rear tail light falls off while traveling down the road. CT sent another tail light bracket for me to install. The bracket would ultimately fail again in the same way because it was thin sheet metal that would crack at the bend. After 2 years of ownership the front winch mounting bar cracked and had to be welded. CT would not repair this because they claimed it was due to neglect. Up until this point they had provided good customer service with a bad product. I'm not one to argue with someone over the phone who is 3 hours away. Ultimately I had to work to get the trailer into road worthy condition by welding on custom tail light guards installing new lights and repairing the winch bracket. If you haul your boat much and value your time I suggest looking elsewhere.

Professional staff that is very friendly and knowledgeable. Customer service is top notch. Turn around time on getting my trailer repaired was fantastic. Pricing is more than reasonable. Will definitely be a return customer for all my trailer repair work!

Worked with Maggie back in January to have a trailer built for my 2002 Scout 172 Sportfish. If you are looking for a trailer quit looking and just call Charleston Trailer! These are some of the nicest and most knowledgeable people when it comes to trailers. The craftsmanship is next level and the trailer tows like a dream just towed ~1200 miles round trip down to the FL Keys from CHS and had zero issues and often forgot there was even a trailer back there!

I was fortunate to meet Rod and Maggie at the boat show in January I placed an order for a new trailer and told them I needed it before end of April (dry stack contract was expiring). They told me they would build and deliver the trailer by mid-April. Not only did they deliver by the expected date, but Maggie was great about keeping me informed. Rod went out to actually measure my boat to ensure the best fit. They also asked me to bring the boat back after loading it, to adjust the skids to ensure the boat was completely stable during transport and loading.Bottom line, Rod & Maggie are caring people and deliver a great product. I never thought I d get excited about a trailer, but it s a beauty!

The best custom boat trailer company in Charleston. They helped me replace a broken boat trailer axel with new hubs and springs and had all the trailer parts on hand and custom fabricated a perfect sized axel for my trailer. Very professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Charleston Trailer!

My experience with Charleston trailer was outstanding from the first phone call through picking up the trailer. Maggie was terrific and helped to guide me through the process. Their customer service is top notch and the trailer is of high quality and well made. I would highly recommend them without reservation.

Maggie and the team at Charleston Trailer are absolute experts who are super helpful. They will do the repair work or if you'd like to do the work yourself, they will roll up their sleeves, pull out the tape measure, and walk you through exactly what you need to get the job done. Pricing was definitely fair and I was so impressed with the operation and their customer service.

We were in a hurry for parts for our boat trailer and Charleston Trailer was the first place I found on google. I sent them an email and they responded very quickly ready to help. My dad went to match up some torsion axles off his boat trailer and he was more than happy with the service he got. He came back telling me I needed to leave those people a review. He worked with Maggie and said she was very timely, knowledgeable, and friendly. Everything we needed was in stock and he was in and out in no time. We will definitely be going back.

I have nothing but the highest praise for this company. I just returned from a long road trip to Charleston to pick up a used boat and trailer. I knew the trailer would need work before the 3,500 mile return trip, but upon inspection I decided that repairing it would be throwing good money after bad. Consequently I did a Google search and found Charleston Trailer, Monday afternoon before Thanksgiving. It was a relief to talk to Maggie, who is a wealth of knowledge and was so friendly and eager to help. The following morning, two days before Thanksgiving, they rearranged their work schedule to fit me in and Rod measured the boat and started building a new custom trailer for the boat, which has a unique hull shape. The next afternoon, the day before Thanksgiving, when most folks would have closed up shop and gone home early, they moved the boat off the old trailer and onto the new, walked me through a thorough orientation on trailer care and use, and I was on my way with a solid, high-quality tandem axle trailer. It was refreshing to have such a good experience with a company. Maggie and Rod were a joy to deal with. I cannot imagine how their service could have been any better. They are very knowledgeable, honest, and just plain good folk!

Finest trailer I ve ever owned for my boat. I travel with my small 17 ft scout costa, and this trailer that they built for me does it all, with confidence. It s smooth to pull, in fact I have to remind myself I m pulling a boat. The quality, and custom fit ..Priceless. I m so glad I had them build a custom trailer for my Scout Costa. Thanks!

From start to finish I had a pleasant experience with the team at Charleston trailer. I met most of the team; Maggie, Steve and Rod and they all made me feel as if I were one of them. Easy and quick process with having a custom trailer built for my boat. They even handle the trailer to trailer transfer at their shop. Highly recommend!

I needed to get two new axles put on to take the boat anywhere but our local launch. The old ones were past shot. Charleston Trailer did it exactly as I'd have wished, and right where we agreed on price-wise. Maggie on the phone is a treat, and Jeff (Who did the work) is a tactician. All compliments from my perspective.

My 21' boat was sitting on a trailer that needed some desperate TLC, so I decided to purchase a new custom trailer from Charleston Trailer. I had great concern about getting my boat & trailer up to N. Chuck, due to the poor trailer condition, so Rod came out to my house to measure my boat, which I was very happy that he did. In addition, I was debating on whether to buy a single axle or tandem, due to the tight parking area that I have to maneuver my trailer into. Both Rod & Maggie could have easily told me to purchase the tandem (for more money), but after Rod visited my home and saw what I was dealing with, he convinced me that I would be fine with a single axle, which can easily handle the weight of my boat.Rod & Maggie @ Charleston Trailer are very responsive and their product is top notch. Great people to work with, and best of all, they provide great customer service!

These people really know trailers! After purchasing components for my previous trailers, they built a trailer for my 34' boar and it pulls better than any trailer I've had in the past. The components are first rate and I expect to use this trailer for years to come. Tha KS guys!!!

Rod and his team are top notch. Their main focus is customer satisfaction followed by building THE highest quality boat trailer I've ever seen, much less owned. Rod stayed after hours 2 nights in a row to make sure I could pick up my trailer and bring it back to have it custom fit all in just 2 days to accommodate my work schedule. I will never own another boat without a Charleston Trailer under it. Thanks Rod and the rest of your team. Keep up the good work.

Best trailer I have ever owned, period. Brought my Charleston Trailer in for preventative maintenance check. Tire rotation and all checks completed in less than 24 hours. Superior staff and an outstanding product. I can't say enough good things about this local company.

They built a trailer for my 17 scout Costa. I picked it up today, and it s some of the finest work and craftsmanship I ve seen in a boat trailer. Thanks so much. It s worth the wait, as they are busy, and when you see what they build, you ll understand why. On a scale of 1-10.......I give it a 12. Beautiful work!I have owned this trailer for a few months now. Pulled the boat to NJ and back. The trailer is flawless! The boat literally floats on this trailer with the torsion springs. It pulls so easily and effortlessly behind my truck. The custom fitting of the bunks to my boat makes loading the boat so easy nj perfect. Thanks!

We very highly recommend Charleston Trailer. They built a trailer for our Chaparral 250, and we couldn't be more satisfied. Rod and Maggie have a very impressive combination of professionalism and personableness. They went above and beyond delivering a great product; they gave us training and support in getting the boat loaded on the trailer the first time and ensuring it was a perfect fit.

These folks are the ones to get with if you need well made custom trailer parts. Two trips for me, one for axles and springs just to move my trailer, and a second for a complete new brake system. I now have a trailer that pulls like new at half the price. Maggie is always a pleasure to talk to at the counter and Rod is great for the technical questions. This is a follow up review. We ve had our trailer about a year. It has exceeded our expectations, and makes boating a hassle free experience . The boat practically drives itself onto the trailer. It looks as new as the day we drove it home, and we use the boat at least once a week, and more than ever since Covid. You get what you pay for, and their trailers are worth every cent. If you have any kind of trailer that needs work, don't hesitate to bring it here. Nice to find a business that really has their act together.Made an appointment last week with Maggie over the phone who was super nice. When I arrived, the service manager Steve listened to the problems I was having, made recommendations and let me know how long it would take.Later the same day, I get a call with a quote and pictures texted to my phone showing progress and additional issues I knew would be there.The next day, trailer was ready and the bill came in a bit less than expected. Top notch work, done quickly and kept updated through the process. Can't ask for better than that. I can see why these guys come so highly recommended.

Just a quick shout out for Rod and crew at Charleston Trailer. I had them make me a trailer for my Grady White 27ft. Islander and picked it up this past weekend. All I can say is what a great experience. The trailer is top quality and built exactly as I requested. Customer service was top notch and there were NO surprises. Rod communicated clearly and often. I would highly recommend Rod and Charleston Trailer.

Rod and Maggie were first class from start to finish during our trailer build for my flats boat. I couldn't be happier with the trailer or my experience working with them.
