Brandon always goes out of his for their customers. Always willing to lend a hand with electrical gremlins on my personal vehicles, even invites the challenge! He was able to track down the cause of an issue I spent weeks trying to find. Always top notch service, with impressive tooling for the job. Thanks again, good sir!

Great experience from the mechanics as Charleston Auto Electric & Repair! Usually mechanics get you in the door with a free inspection and find countless things wrong with the car. Not these guys! They are very honest and the process to approve or deny repairs is totally done virtually, which I appreciated. Will be coming back yearly to do an assessment of my 2008 Miata.

Either my oil change wasn t done right or reused the same washers but not even 10 miles down the road my car was leaking.. and the only reason I was aware of this was because I had to take my car to Infiniti for another reason.

They are VERY rude and unprofessional. Nothing about this shop is friendly !!!! If I could give 0 stars, I would. 0/10 I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!Edit: I was actually DENIED service because I asked for a price on my window switch but stated I wouldn t be paying DOUBLE for ONE service! I never said that I would not be paying at all. I mentioned how I would like things to be done right THE FIRST TIME so I wouldn t have to pay for the same service a second time!! The person on the phone actually WAS RUDE & had a very condescending tone. I was NOT talked to with dignity & respect!!!! If all of the calls are recorded then that should ve been heard! Stop making excuses for the bad customer service that your staff exhibited!Suggestion for the company: learn to take accountability!!! Treat customers with RESPECT & kindness!!! Stop denying service all because you want to DOUBLE CHARGE CUSTOMERS!!!!! Do better !

Very impressed with the service at Charleston Auto Electric & Repair. I made an appointment for a courtesy inspection and they got me in and out very quickly with a detailed diagnostic of my vehicle. Friendly & helpful staff with a nice, clean waiting area. I will definitely bring my car back for oil changes or any other repairs.

These guys are amazing!! They are honest, transparent about pricing, and they do great work!!!!They fixed the A/C on my Jeep Patriot and the next day I had an issue, they took it right back in, and as it turned out there was a small leak. Fixed again within a couple of hours. They warranty their work as well.So then wife had her car at a dealership for over a month and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with her Jeep Wrangler's A/C. Charleston Auto Electric had it diagnosed and fixed in under 24hrs!!We brought it back to them a week later to install her rock lights!!! We are customers for life!!!

These guys are so knowledgeable! I ve been to multiple repair facilities, And this is the only one that describes in detail what was wrong with my truck I will not let anyone else touch any of my vehicles. Brandon was my tech but I m sure they re all great! High standard mechanics.

This place is fantastic - they were quick, honest and so nice. The best part was they figured out my issue and it didn t even cost anything to fix. I would 100% go back here and highly recommend it!

I recommend any one to take there cars there to be fixed the staff is very nice and they are very helpful and will get the car fixed my car I went to so many mechanic that couldn t figure out what was wrong with my car but when I took it to the shop I was told the same exact day what was wrong with my car and they fixed it and I was so happy cause I thought I would never find out what was wrong with my car thanks to them I really appreciate them

Excellent shop with courteous and knowledgeable mechanics. I bought my Ford Explorer in with an electrical problem causing a bad code with my ABS system. They identified the problem as a wiring issue and that I needed my rear passenger axle replaced. The entire job took less than the quoted time and the price was very reasonable. The best part is that John and the Team are now family! Thanks again and I highly recommend this shop!!

If you stay in the North charleston sc or surrounding areas and need work done on your vehicle, I highly recommend Charleston Auto Electric & Repair. They were first recommended to me about a year ago by a reliable shop in Ladson which couldn't figure out an issue I was having with my truck. Needless to say Charleston Auto Electric & Repair found the issue and fixed it. Then recently I was having another issue with my truck not starting. I went against my first mind and choosed a shop that was really close to me. That was wasted money because we ended up having to have the truck tow to Charleston Auto Electric & repair to diagnose the issue. They did and it allow the other shop to fix the issue. However, the other shop returned my truck with a leak that was not there and they could not figure out where the leak was coming from. After paying for a new transmission pan and countless return to the other shop, I decided to cut my losses and take my truck back to Charleston Auto Electric & Repair. They diagnosed the issue, and fixed it the following day after I confirmed I wanted them to star the work. I have checked for leaks for the past three days and it is as dry as sand under my truck.To make this long story shorter, Don't waste time your time going to any other shop. Take your Vehicle to Charleston Auto Electric & Repair and have your issues solved on the first visit.I high recommend these guys.

Two other reputable shops has no success in repairing the a/c on my 2007 Mercury but Charleston Auto Electric resolved the tricky problem in a few hours at a reasonable price. I ve already recommended them to my friends for an electrical malfunction.

I went to the shop with an issue for my lights everything was explained to me in detail. When my car was ready I received a text message from the shop. The light that was the issue was taken out shown to me and again explained what the issue was. Their pricing was explained to me when I booked the appointment and when I came to pay it was explained to me again in detail.

Had an electrical issue with my duramax that whipped my butt to the point to where I threw in the towel, and I own a automotive shop but electrical stuff isn't my strong point. I sent my truck over to Charleston auto electric and it gave them some trouble for the first two days which then didn't make me feel so bad, but on the 3rd day I was called and told that they found the issue that nobody else could help me figure out and this is why I personally recommend my customers to when it's an issue that we can't figure out. So when it comes to electrical work and trouble shooting, There's nobody in town that can even compare to their quality of work, communication during the process and the fair pricing. As I stated before, I own a automotive repair shop but when it comes to trouble shooting electrical, there's nobody else I would ever use.

Could give more stars! Great service, they literally saved me with ac problem in my tesla model Y, i would have to bring to savanah and would cost me 3k$ , they found the problem and fixed in less then one day, i really appreciate for honesty and amazing work!

I am appreciative of the attention to detail and transparency of the condition of the vehicle. They got it started. They are crooks! instead of just putting a starter on my wife s car they said she had an oil leak and needed to be fix immediately!meanwhile they changed other parts that didn t need to be replaced and 1300$ later they called and said it was finished. So my wife and I go to get the car only to find that the left parts of the engine off and the oil leak was never fixed! They are pathetic and can t be trusted! Look at how the ruined my wife s car!Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Engine repair

I had an emergency with my Ford Explorer. Some critter chewed through my wiring and the car wouldn t start. CAE&R got me in without an appointment and turned it around in less than 24 hours and a a very reasonable price. I heartily recommend these guys!!

You get what you pay for. I ve had my Jeep at dealership repair shops and my regular mechanic without being able to get to the bottom of why I kept having a problem with it. Charleston Auto Electric & Repair was actually the first place that found why it wasn t starting properly. After that, they actually got it fixed and I had a solution, as opposed to all of the other places that handed me back to keys and gave me a shoulder shrug.
