Warning: Avoid J&H Truck Service in Latta, SC. We also had a terrible experience there recently. The owner charged for work we didn't agree to, with no estimates given beforehand. The final bill was much higher than expected. We've heard from others and even local authorities about similar dishonest practices. It's more than just poor service; it feels like a deliberate trap. Please consider other, more reputable services�for�your�needs

Had a tractor trailer not building any air. Guy came out and replaced leaking valve off dryer on shoulder. What a breath of old school fresh air. Tired of these preMadonna fake road service guys ? This guy isn't it. He's real deal. Thanks man

Totally ripped off they come out for 2 reasons make minimal service charge or take your truck to their shop to ripped you off, I caught up with him early before he did anything that he was a fraud then he text me brag that he took out two 2 screws from my bell housing and and I won t get far. Silly incriminating himself by text . I happily paid him $190 to leave my truck I escaped Mr Trying to take all.

An axle broke on my trailer while I was travelling and they were fair and replaced it quickly. They made sure my animals and I were taken care of and we were back on the road next day.

I called for roadside service. They came right away. They put a USED and DRY ROTTED coolant hose on my truck that busted and left me stranded AGAIN 2 1/2 hours down the road. Ended up paying someone else to do the job right.

Excellent service!!! Daughter was broken down on the side of the road. Made the call, talked to owner of J & H dad to dad and he rushed right out. Took great care of our daughter!!! Put in a new battery from his own truck to diagnose the problem. Went to shop, new battery and problem solved and our daughter was on her way!!Thank you J&H for your unprecedented service, your willingness to help and for putting our worries at ease!!! What makes a good business is the people you have to deal with in these businesses. The owner of this business is Johnathan, he is the example of why I like using mom and pops business, you are a person not a number. He offered to leave a family function to come and assess my problem that I knew couldn't be repaired due to store being closed since it was Sunday. He arrived early next morning and started on my problem. I highly recommend this business. Of course there is always a bad side....Johnathan when you show up drinking a cup of coffee at least bring a spare cup. Thanks againService: Brakes

Excellent service on replacing u-joint on driveline. On time and quick service. Thank you for coming out on Sunday to repair the truck.

These people are just fake I called the for a problem with air not building up, first said the problem was a faulty air dryer , agrees to supposedly professional advice which cost around $1100 in parts and labor, then right on site we did not have the problem fixed , then he tried to snatch the old air dryer core which I had to return to the dealer.. then he said that the problem was a faulty compressor but failed to repair it , which made us stranded all day after spending all that money and time where he replaced a good air dryer for a good one . The shock was unbelievable when I found out the problem was due to an air leak within the the air hose that connects the compressor with the air dryer, simple and easy to fix problem that i fixed for a fraction of what they made us to loose.. their mechanic is an apprentice who is fishing in dirt water

AWFUL SERVICE, AVOID BRINGING TRUCK OR CARS HERE! Brought my truck here for issues with the clutch and was ripped off. Kept the truck for two weeks and when I was told the issue was fixed saw that he had not repaired it at all! Still demanded payment even though he had not done the job correctly. This shop should be shut down

I was referred to J&H after pulling into the Pilot truck stop with a broken clutch cable. I felt hopeless! It was so bad I had to drift into a space. Another driver gave me his number and said he was available 24/7. I called Jonathan at 3am and he answered, I told him the issue he said he'd come in the morning. When he arrived we discovered the cable needed to be replaced. All local Peterbilt stores did not have the part in stock and had to be ordered to come next morning. Jonathan ordered the part and said he'd pick it up and come next day. Next day comes and bad news, it was not there. Only 1 store had it and the store was 2 hours away! I was desperate! Still had my load to drop and another to pick up. Jonathan had other customers to attend to but was gracious enough to allow me to use his personal truck to drive to the store. I just met this man but he understood what I needed. Once I got back, he got to work and not only fixed the broken cable but adjusted my clutch and it's moving better than before. This man was a blessing in disguise! He was able to meet my needs and went over & beyond. I highly recommend his services.

I do not recommend this service. We called them for roadside for flat tire. We checked tire size and everything with them. They gave us estimated price and ETA of 2 hours. 3 hours later they texted that they made a mistake and they don't have the right tire size. Thank you so much for wasting 3 hours of our time. Avoid if you can. I wish I read the reviews before calling them.

This company saved our vacation. Our motorhome would not start. We called literally everyone and no one would help us or even return our call Johnathan came out immediately got our vehicle started and told us how he would fix the problem. Once we got to Lakewood, his mechanic fixed the problem. He was very nice and professional. I don't know we would have done without J&H.

Do not go here!!I had a transmission oil hose bust. This guy came out and put a new one in. Charged over $800. Before I left he informed me that he didn't need to put any oil in it because it was full. Luckily I took it for a 2nd opinion at the Petro down the road. And they said that there was barely any oil in it.This guy is a hack. If I didn't catch it in time I would have messed up my transmission.

I've used him before and he came thru without a hitch to fix an airbag. This time he didn't come himself, he sent out a couple kids who half fixed my lights, but I paid anyway and I've been calling and texting over a week just to get my receipt... still no receipt.If you use him, get your receipt right then and hopefully he'll come and not the kids.

VERY WELL RECOMMENDED!!! We Want to Thank You for coming out on 1-29-2022 to replace the Main Braided Air Line (not an easy part to get on a Saturday morning) on our Simi Truck! You got there as soon as you could. You provided professional work! And you were very friendly! Had us up and running in less than 20 minutes and DID NOT OVERCHARGE! Thank you so much!

I watched this guy perform a head job on a semi for a customer in the pouring rain to get the client back running. Would highly recommend. He just gets it done!

Stay away. Hired him to diagnose a tapping in 03 Ford Thunderbird. He first said it was the lifters and that he could replace them. Then he came back that he couldn't get the replacement parts and that I would need a replacement engine and that he could do the replacement if I found the engine. After I found a perfectly good engine and delivered it to him and he then called after putting it in and said the new engine was siezed up. He then sent me an invoice for almost $3000. After I paid the bill and picked up my vehicle I quickly realized that J & H were in over their head with my repair, after taking my vehicle to another shop, I was told the engine is in perfect condition but that whoever installed it totally botched it. J & H does not have a building or a shop to do any service. They may have good intentions but good intentions don't measure up to good service. Stay away...

WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND! Left my truck with a screwdriver in the return line after assuring me it was fixed other than needing a clip for the return line that he supposedly had to pick up in NC and never showed up to fix the truck, would not return phone calls or texts! All this after charging me 1000$ ..

Stay away from this guy!!!! He was supposed to fix our truck when we broke down out of town. He never fixed the truck and brought it back to us with nothing on the dash working. Cussed at us and stated that he would guarantee his work which he did not. Used our own truck to use it for his own personal use and even bought alcohol in our truck and left the Receipt in the truck. Dumped oil in the back of the truck which he stated it was there. Absolutely not cause we had all of our luggage in coming back from Virginia to Alabama. It will rip you off.... STAY AWAY FROM HIS BUSSINESS

Johnathan the owner of this fine business, came out to meet with us while we were on our way to a disaster zone. Met us during a hurricane, test drove our truck, told us exhaust leak not turbo as I had first thought. Honesty is hard to find!! He didn't charge us. We will be doing and sending him business..

Do not do business with this individual. He did nothing but waste my time (which he calls labor and amounted to him leaving for an hour for a gallon of anti-freeze, which he DID manage to splash some of into the tank mouth when he finally returned) and refer me to a legitimate Truck service (THAT HAD TERMINATED HIS EMPLOMENT due to his incompetence), and he attempted to charge me $180 for his services. I say attempted because he had me over a barrel at the time but I will be successful at disputing the charge with my cc company. Spend it quick, boy! Maybe you stole my cc info? Yup, spend it quick!! The crew at the REAL Truck service center know all about him! Kinda ironic this nut-brain refers them the business, me thinks. Lesson learned: don t drink diesel fuel, kids!

Stay away from this sir, he threatened us just for him to charge us more. He went to the place and picked a fight with our driver to stay there. He supposedly called the DOT when we were stopped in a truck stop with no chance of moving, he was trying to force us to use his services. Just a scammer that faced himself as a mechanic.

When I called them they was the only on around that was able to help me to get my problems resolved. Besides those truck stops lied they was going to help. Thanks J h for getting the Goatrider back on the road for a reasonable price.

I'll be honest folks, I've never owned a diesel truck, but I do know that a fella named Jonathan drove his truck down a muddy road to pull a couple of crazy college guys (me and a friend) out of the mud. Anyone willing to do that even after working all day deserves a 5* rating.
