I m always skeptical of who works on my vehicles because of an experience I had in the past. But since I have moved to the area shop at 160 is the place to go and been going there for four years. They re upfront about what s going on and have the best prices in the area and do good work. I recently had headlight issue and it was a simple fix to just change the light bulb which I would normally do but thought it was something more. However the front desk knows I have came in several other occasions for work. When I came to pick the vehicle up he told me no charge for fixing the light. I m not saying they re giving out free light bulbs folks. The point is this shop remembered loyal customers and always treated me with the upmost respect. That s why I will continue to go here for service and recommend others as well.

There are still good honest people in the world! I had my Audi towed and left over night at shop160 received a call before they even opened from MarkI explained what the issue was he explained his process.. 3hrs called me back and told me the issues.. instead of suggesting extraordinarily expensive repairs.. He fixed the problem to the best of his ability due to the issues.. He gave me his professional honest advice and extended a courtesy , My car is running and I am grateful he was personable professional showed empathy and most of just a nice decent human being.. As a woman it is scary having to dealWith your car on a mechanical level I want to say thank you again!!! Many blessings to you and your family.. I recommend this shop to anyone who needs a knowledgeable professional honest courtesy mechanic who works on foreign and domestic and who isnt money hungry and just loves what they do Ladies if you typically feel anxiety when having to get help with you car this shop is top tier!!!Thanks Mark and Staff

Mark and the staff at The Shop at 160 are hands down the most professional, honest, and knowledgeable mechanic shop. The are the only mechanic I trust enough to bring my vehicle to. Mark even helped give me guidance when I was looking for a new vehicle. My boyfriend recently made the very costly mistake of taking his BMW to a different shop (specializing in euro cars) that completely did him wrong and he ended up taking it to The Shop at 160 after the first shop made a coolant leak much worse. The Shop at 160 fixed the issue coolant issues exacerbated by the other mechanic shop.You and your vehicle are in safe hands at The Shop at 160. Mark and team will take care of you.I want to add for those reading negative rubbish reviews that has been posted by a few people about this business, I'm not sure what these people expect. I would rather have someone knowledgeable, honest, and caring take care of my vehicle, than someone that lies, tells me what I want to hear, and caters to entitled people, while completely screwing me over (which is what it seems the people negatively reviewing this business must want).Just be smart and take your vehicle to The Shop at 160 for your auto repair and auto maintenance needs.

They do a great job fixing our vans. They schedule you quickly and finish in a timely manner. They are friendly and the prices are reasonable. We are grateful for mechanics we can trust.

The Shop @160 is everything you would hope for in a repair shop - accurate, reliable, honest, and value. We have taken several vehicles to them over the years and have always been treated with the same great level of customer service. Highly recommend!

These guys are great! Let me tell you, we initially started by taking our vehicle to Firestone to figure out what was going on with the air conditioner, and after that, we went to the dealership. Well, guess what the reason why nobody wants to go to the dealership is exactly what happened. They ran us in a circle, telling us that nothing was wrong. Mark and the team were able to figure out what was going on, and made me feel like a real human being again.

Would give ZERO stars if I could!! Mark had a NASTY attitude and seemed irritated from the very first encounter. I only went back because a battery that THEY installed needed to be replaced and was under warranty. Customer service is lacking!! I was told by Mark, that "it isn't his job to provide good customer service, but to tell it like it is..." Who talks to paying customers like that?? Long story short... GO SOMEWHERE ELSE... where your money is appreciated!

Mark and the technicians at The Shop at 160 are amazing! I am always treated professionally and with integrity. Me being a female have not always felt comfortable dealing with most repair shops and mechanics but at The Shop at 160 I feel like I'm being treated fairly. When I have a question or just don't quite understand the service, Mark has patiently explained it more. I have referred many clients to this shop and will continue to do so. They are my number 1 "go to auto shop"!!!

Great service!!! Took my 2002 Corvette there to have the headlight motors replaced. Mark and his staff are very professional and do prompt, excellent work at a very fair price. Would recommend the Shop@160 to everyone!!!!

Mark is the best everytime i have been there he does everything the right way, I had an oil change from those 10 minute oil change a while back and oil started leaking from my pan and I took it to him and he got it rectified and today I took it to him for brake replacement and I thought it just needed the front but he called me and said the rear brakes and rotors were bad and he took care of everything.Don't go anywhere else shop at 160 is going to be my place for all my truck and car repairs and oil changes

BEWARE: 7/11/23- Had them complete an inspection on my brakes for $85. Had Berto drop me off at home 6mins away. Mark Quoted me over $450 (brakes) for a 08 Toyota Yaris. $450 on a spare car doesn t seem realistic. I said I would shop around, he said no one will be able to pick me up (all of a sudden) Berto has 8hr job, etc. So I asked if I were to get the service, who would pick me up to get the vehicle? Constantly said no one would pick me up. Called ended, called me back and said, Be Ready in 5mins . Berto picked me up. Mark was at the desk. Quietly paid and left. If you don t do business with them, they ll give you attitude! At Mavis for repair. Horrible service!Service: Brakes

My Wrangler sat the local jeep dealership for 4 days with them unable to find and fix my issue. I took it it to see Mark over the shop @ 160. Within less than two hours they found exactly what the problem was with confidence. Saving me an absolute nightmare of a situation where the keep dealership wanted to clean their hands of a problem they were clearly unable to diagnose properly.Hats off to the team @ 160, I will recommend them to my friends.Service: Auto maintenance

We have been going here for years. I am able to send my daughter there by herself and not have to worry. They are trust worthy and make everything easy, from drop to giving an estimate, to pick up. They are all friendly, but most importantly, they do amazing work.

I have a 2013 Mini Cooper and I was absolutely blown away with the quality of the shop at 160. They are the most honest people in the business. They have been super accommodating. I will not take my car to any other shop despite the fact that I live an hour away. Will not accommodate. Tried to make an appointment for DIAGNOSTICS of a check engine light and oil leak. They wouldn t look at it unless I could drop it off all day. I was willing to leave it at noon but they said 5 hours would not be enough. I use my truck for work and can t be without it all day. Typical of a business that thinks they are more important then the customer. I used Certified Auto repair in Indian Land instead. Those guys are awesome. Just an update here. I asked for a diagnosis of the issues. Obviously they won t be able to fix it in five hours. Guess the person on the phone thinks he is so important that he won t listen to the customer either. When I questioned him on the phone as to whether 5 hours to diagnose the issue is not enough time he replied no it s not. His response to this review is proof of his unprofessional attitude towards customers. Good job guy.

Brought Wrangler in for overheating issues Thursday AM. Thought they could look at it by end of day Friday (good mechanics are busy mechanics, and the shop was full). Had the keys back Friday at noon with a new Radiator and Temp Regulator. Friendly, timely, honest and affordable. I'm writing this review because I plan on calling Mark in the morning and have him look at the brakes on my truck. So this review was overdue. Too often we want to write a review complaining about things and not enough time do we give credit to reputable businesses. I was talking with my wife and we were saying that we have always had a great experience with the Shop at 160. Everything they have fixed for us has passed the test of time and worked flawlessly. The price has been reasonable and they always have had the work done when they say they will. I don't trust my vehicles with anyone else and will continue to take them to Mark and his team.

Feb 2020 Update: I had some vibration in my car while driving at highway speeds, so I took my car to Mark. He found the problem, ordered the parts, fixed my car, and charged me a very fair price. I Highly Recommend Mark and the guys at The Shop @ 160. Courteous, polite, and professional. I wouldn't take my care anywhere else. Thanks Mark.I left my car at The Shop @ 160 for the first time for an oil change, and asked them to also check my brakes. Mark called me to inform me of an issue he found on my engine, and sent me a picture. He also let me know that my brake pads were in good condition, and they did not need to be replaced.Mark, thanks for the service. It is nice to find a garage, where you can trust the mechanic. Any other garage would have changed my brakes whether it was needed or not. As for the issue, I will be notifying the previous place I had my car serviced and ask them why they did what they did. Thanks for explaining the cost of the oil change; you are still cheaper than other places. I will be bringing my car back for continued service.

This shop is not willing to provide service to people who work on their own vehicles. I am replacing the condenser coil on my HVAC system and need the system evacuated and recharged - this is the responsible way to do it rather than gasing off to the atmosphere. They were not willing to do this work. They could have simply charged me a normal rate to do this and provided service to a local customer but simply said they wouldn't do it. I did call other places and they were much more friendly and willing to accept the job and charge a normal rate.[Update]: Owners response that I was abusive on the phone is completely false and is more evidence of why you shouldn't trust this mechanic. My conversation with him was very polite - I simply asked him if he provided this service, and let him know that I'd check other places since he didn't. So just a warning for those of you wanting to avoid a situation like this, where you are being falsely accused, dishonest mechanic, etc. On the other hand, I called 2 other local shops and they were much more receptive to my questions and worked with me to slot me in to their busy schedule and said that they'd be happy to help.

Squealing noise prompted me to do an online search for a reputable shop. After reading every review, I settled on The Shop@160 and Mark did not disappoint. I needed new brakes. Since I had to take his word for what I needed, it was refreshing to hear him say, back rotors do not need to be replaced and that will save you some money. I loved that he offered to give me a ride and pick me up after leaving my car. I preferred to walk, but the thought counted! It was akin to having a doctor with a great bedside manner! I recommend this shop and will utilize their services in the future.

Great Experience! I've been really hesitant to take my car anywhere over the years because of the mistrust I've built from previous experiences with other mechanics. The Shop has definitely earned my trust and future business after the recent issues I had with my vehicle. There were various issues that led to the engine completely breaking down and not being able to start again. I didn't have enough time to do the work myself. Luckily I came across The Shop, felt good about their reviews, and after two days and a very reasonable price, The Shop had me back on the road and more than satisfied with their services. I highly recommend this place.

These guys are extremely professional and trustworthy. I took my SUV to them to troubleshoot an engine malfunction issue. They ran the diagnostics and let me know in a timely manner that I should go ahead and take it to the Dealer to ensure the problem was completely fixed. It wasn t that they couldn t fix it, but Mark wasn t sure if they could reset the computer and he didn t want me to deal with a multi visit ordeal. Most shops wouldn t do that so I appreciate their integrity. Trusting your mechanic can t be overstated. By the way, he didn t even charge me for the diagnostics even though I would ve paid it. I ll be taking all my business to The Shop @ 160 going forward.

My room mate recommended this spot to me as I just moved back to Charlotte, and I am so happy she did!! Mark was nice, professional, and not pushy. I went for an oil change and he asked if I needed my tires rotated, and, as people and myself often do when it comes to additional services and charges, I said no thanks. I checked my car fax while I was waiting and realized it was just slightly overdue for a tire rotation and he was right on, though he did not push the matter when I declined initially. I am glad he brought it up and saved me time and a trip! He also mentioned getting my air filter changed, and when the guy at advance auto parts pulled the old filter out, sure enough, it was falling apart and filthy. Good looking out on his part and his team. Much appreciated and happy to find a home base for my car.

I LOVE the Shop @ 160! It's so nice to find a garage you can trust. Especially trust the mechanic! Here you can trust the staff and the mechanic. I bring all 3 of my cars here. Great service, great staff, and great experience. I would HIGHLY recommend their work. Thank you Mark for all you do to make sure our cars are safe to drive !

I am truly thankful for this team of Mechanics. This is the most honest and dependable shop in the area. I want everyone to know that when you take your vehicle to this shop it will be properly diagnosed and repaired and if they can t do it they will tell you the honest truth ( they will tell you where to go ). Proper diagnostic procedures and a honest opinion is the greatest experience a mechanic can give a customer and this place goes above and beyond. Just to let you know Mercedes can t achieve this goal. I've been here for a few services and they've been timely and professional for every need.The best part, is that it's a matter of course that they provide good service. It's not an effort on their part. I've done 90% of my auto work in the past, and when I've needed to bring a vehicle in for something I didn't have time or resources to do myself it had always been a fight to get what I paid for. The Shop, however, just does what's right.Zero stress working with these guys. None.Service: Wheel alignment

I'm a single Mom , scared of being ripped off by Mechanics. Tega Cay Moms Referred me to Mark & Ryan . Very Professional , Called told me estimate amount for this & that . I was going to uber to work they took me instead. My Bill was a little less than quoted. I def will be taking my car here even if a need just a oil change etc. This is my to go to place. I feel really comfortable with their honesty . My receipt shows everything in detail even the codes their system brought up that my car needed. Give them a try . Nice Clean Place inside office & garage. I'm nosey like that . Looked very organized . Give them a try ! . Best service ever!!! I ve been to a number of shops and mechanics in the Charlotte area and this is by far the best. Their customer service is excellent and even offered to give me a ride home after I dropped off the truck. The cost was fair and they had the work done within a few hours. I will DEFINITELY be making this place my go-to mechanic going forward. Incredibly trustworthy.
