This location was AWESOME! We were passing through and needed an oil change. Ray was very helpful and took great care of us. When everyone else in the area was closed, Pep Boys was still open and provided quick service. If you are in the area and need their service, definitely stop in.

Found that we had a slow leak on one of our tires as we were traveling north to Ohio. It was a Saturday about 9 AM. There were already a couple customers waiting to have brakes done and other work. They were able to get my tire fixed in about two hours and only charged about 20 bucks.

Had an unexpected brake concern and needed to have my husband's vehicle serviced. We located the closest PepBoys to our location and used their online interface to make an appointment for 8:30am the next morning (Saturday). We received the appointment confirmations & the text reminder. Those items worked great. We were also able to find the $40 off coupon for standard brake service and my husband had that on his phone. We had looked at the offered brake services and different levels of brake services. We had decided upon a Standard Brake Service which included Free Brake System Evaluation, Installation of new brake pads/shoes, Lifetime* FREE replacement of brake pads/shoes, 12month/12,000-mile Labor Warranty*, and resurfacing brake rotors for $169.99 with aforementioned coupon.Once my husband arrived at the location Saturday morning, the service advisor helping him didn't select the appointment, just started a new service order. My husband explained to the service advisor that it appeared the vehicle needed front brakes. My husband was told the front brake service would be $240 with the coupon. I asked him why. He told me the advisor said they didn't do rotor turning with a standard brake service. I told him that was incorrect and that the standard service included brake rotor resurfacing. I then sent him a screenshot of that fact from their website. He spoke with the advisor again and was given the excuse/reason for the pricing confusion that the employee on the counter was new and didn't know. I felt it was "bait & switch" by the first service advisor. Also the "FREE Vehicle Inspection" that is offered was not even completed or provided to us. The only notes on the service order were of the measurements of all 4 tires. Nothing more. I don't appreciate the multiple pricing changes and the flippant way it was dismissed when called out for the incorrect pricing or what the service included. RUDE.I hope that other people who many not have knowledge of what is included in each specific service or even know whether their vehicle needed that service, have not been fleeced by these advisors or technicians. Not good business and is a poor way of treating customers who are just trying to care for their vehicle. We won't be visiting this location again.

On Sunday a 5 pm we called in hopes Pep Boys would take us if we could get there in time and we got there with five minutes to spare. Landon was such a big help and was more than happy to help us unload our vehicle from a road trip just so he can get to the tire to replace it. He did a fantastic job staying over and not complaining about it one bit. We are so thankful that Pep Boys came to our rescue and was very accommodating, providing the best service.

The guy at the desk (Donald) was awesome! The technician (Mr.T/Tataw) who came out to my car and explained things to me was great too. Since they were busy and I was one of the last people in, they didn t turn me away and stayed a little past closing to make sure I was taken care of. The lady (Markie) ensured me that if I had questions about anything, that they were there to help. I got new rims and they put the best tires on (Brandon did an amazing job without scratching the rims!). Pep Boys has serviced every car I ve had except one and the experience has all been great.

Pep Boys destroyed my driver door and fender. Messed up my payment. Stringing me along via insurance claims and customer service claims for the last 3 or 4 weeks now. Rear left brake line came loose and lost control because I had to miss a vehicle with little to no brake pressure left. No one takes anyone serious at this establishment and I'm left with no choice but to hand this over to my attorney. I would never bring a vehicle here to be serviced if I were anyone else. My fault for giving a corporate shop a chance.This is the second time posting this since they somehow removed my first post.*and yet another generic response on how they really don't care bout their customers In this extremity even. I have been waiting for someone to give me some answers on why my door and fender is still damaged and I have to slam my door 80 times to get it to shut or why I'm out 2k on repairs and still had to get another shop to fix this. Completely unacceptable and absurd to even portray that this corporate company cares about anyone but greed. Good luck.

Four new tires. Easy to schedule, reasonably good communication on progress through text messages. Check-out process took way longer than it should because (a) the service person didn't know how to find my order on the computer, didn't communicate anything with me, and fussed around trying to get the job done for over five minutes before he asked for help. He was also very quiet and didn't have a good rapport with the customer. As for the work itself, too soon to tell if there's a problem. I assume all is well, as the wheels didn't fall off on the drive home.

If I could give the store, zero stars, The person behind the desk was clueless of what he was doing. I am very well educated on cars I have worked on them my whole life took a Jeep there to go see if they could find an oil leak for me real quick, and did nothing but shine a light Car told me they think it s Rear main seal leak, which anyone could have guessed that, but still did not know the problem gave us a whole bunch of useless information. Don t waste your time on this place. And the mechanic who looked at it, look and talk to me, as if I did not know anything very disrespectful

So I literally go here everytime my tire light comes on and the guys there put air in my tire, well yesterday one of my other tire that is never low was low real low I went to pep boys to get air in it and Zee said yup it was your back tire that was low. If it's low tomorrow come back and see us. Well this morning my tire was back low and I went back to pep boys and brought a tire. Zee was there and he took care of my tire. Was in and out. Customer service was great. I was pushing for time because I had to be at work within an hour and I was on time. Thank you Zee for your Customer service and the guy in the front I didn't get his name. But yall definitely took care of my car this morning and if anyone doesn't tell yall this, I appreciate yall and great work. It's people like you all that gives the company a good name. Thanks again

Conveniently located next to the spot where our van broke down in Columbia, SC at 2pm on a rainy Saturday.We were on our way to a show in Asheville when we heard a loud *CLUNK* coming from the passenger-side wheel well.Most repair shops in Columbia were booked up with appointments from loyal customers, but Pep Boys was wide open. We walked up to the counter and waited to be acknowledged by the associate, presumably the senior pep boi on duty. Eventually, he looked up from his desk and waited for us to speak.I explained the *CLUNK* noise to the best of my ability. Then, without saying a word, he walked out from behind the counter. I followed.He asked for the keys for the van. I complied. Then i asked if the van might be repaired by today, but he must not have heard me.For the next few hours we sat in the waiting room of the pep boys which was brightly lit like an interrogation room. The sound of daytime television blasted from a wall-mounted tv as two obese women sat transfixed in the opposite corner, eating foot-long subs. There were six chairs in the room, but the two women had staked their claim of 4 of them, using the two extra chairs as sandwich chairs. When the sandwiches were gone, they became trash chairs. This left our group of 4 to fight over the 2 remaining chairs. We sat in shifts.Eventually they gave us a writeup of all the recommended repairs. They told us the van would be ready by noon the next day, information that would have been crucially helpful several hours before.I called at 9am the next day to confirm the pickup time. Like I said yesterday, replied the pep boi, it will be ready at 3. I called again at noon to confirm.When we arrived at 3, the pep boi told us they did not have the necessary parts. He explained that he had been on hold with auto zone since 10am. The reason he had been on hold so long, I later found out, is because auto-zone s part-runner department is closed on Sundays. I found this out because i made him give me the part numbers so I could go out and buy them myself because we didn t have anywhere to stay in Columbia and our rental car needed to be returned in an hour, and we needed a way to get home.After visiting several auto parts shops, We returned an hour later with the parts and handed them to the mechanic who would be completing the repair. I can only describe this man as having the least pep of any human I have ever seen in my life. I assume he was saving all his pep for the repair job. In any other context I would have offered him a hug.At this point, 25 hours had elapsed since we first arrived at this pep boys location. After being assured by pep boi number 1 that the repair would be complete by 6pm, we returned our rental car and ventured out to a Mexican restaurant. At 5:30, we received a call that a few of the parts didn t fit and they had given us the wrong part numbers earlier when they sent us out to buy the parts.The Pep Boys had won.***The following morning, the head pep boi (the boss of the pep boi I had been working with) informed me that the repair was done. I explained to him the frustrations I had experienced, but he was distracted by the fact that his computer was being retarded . When I called again to give my credit card number, he interrupted me to let me know that his pen wasn t working and he needed a second to find another one. None of this surprised me, although I was impressed that this Pep Boys location had more than one pen.The Head Pep Boy told me that we would not be charged for the parts we had bought ourselves, but beyond that, his retarded computer would not let him give us any further discount. Defeated, I paid the balance which, combined with the rental car fee and the parts, amounted to roughly our full settlement from the Asheville show.I will never forget my day at the Pep Boys. It was a powerful lesson in patience and perseverance. I am proud of the Pep Boys themselves for helping us even though they clearly didn t want to. If you ask me, a few Pep Boys became Pep Men that day.One star.

I got into a collision with Bambi & my coolant reservoir wouldn t retain fluid - I don t know enough about cars to diagnose the problem SO! I got an estimate from a local shop here in Irmo (BIG MISTAKE) dude charged me $250 just to take off my bumper & gave me a $7000 estimate (I did not have comprehensive insurance at the time) I asked the guy - just please fix it up enough to get me running again - guy was like ITS BROKEN- EVERYTHING IS BROKEN kinda nasty like too- three on the tree shop by the way - called up Pep Boys here & they towed me out of there & replaced the radiator & out the door same day for round $700. YEP! all I had to do was collect my car - she runs great by the way ! They really did me right here !! !!! I m very grateful for your assistance & square deal service!!!! ***** THANKS A MILLION!!!!

Booked appointment for a transmission fluid exchange as per their website, get there and they don t have a machine to do that job. After driving over an hour to get there employees act too nonchalant about the whole ordeal and one of them even laughs about it.

IF YOUR A FEMALE GO ELSEWHERE FOR REPAIRS.....Since I'm a young female Pep boys employees decided to do a free inspection and tell me I needed $700 of work on my car (which is unnecessary because I know those parts are in good condition) WHEN I ONLY WENT IN FOR A HEADLIGHT AND BRAKELIGHT REPAIR WHICH TOOK 2 HOURS WITH NO UPDATES ABOUT MY VECHICLE (and no update about waiting for a headlight to be delivered)

Everytime I go there Mr. Donald is very pleasant and professional and this time I had a issue before coming and I called to let him know I would likely be late he assured me that it wouldn't be a problem. I think Mr. Donald should be given a raise seeing how sometimes he's understaffed. The service I received is always on point.

Bryan Warner and the technicians gave me quality service. It was on a Sunday that I noticed one of my tires had a nail in it and was slowly going flat. I was relieved to find Pep Boys open. From my initial phone call to my final checkout, everything went smoothly. There were only two auto techs working on the cars that day but they moved in unison and with precision. I am very pleased. I recommend them to anyone. They came through for me. I am sure you will get the same service.

Brayn and Don were very friendly and nice to chat with to pass the wait. They were helpful with my tuck and with my kids. This place is only a car shop. No longer a store. That stopped 3 years ago. Also they ac needs to be checked in the waiting area, so much more hot. They were nice enough to have my kids and I more to another area while waiting. Will definitely be going back in the future.

I normally don t leave reviews but I think this has to be said. Found that my engine was overheating and realize my heater hoses were leaking coolant really badly so I initially thought that was the issue. Brought my truck that I use for work in on Sunday and the guy who was there replaced the hoses no problem. Even fit me in between jobs and I was very appreciative. That s a plus but I found out that the truck was still overheating. Left it in the lot and came back the next morning after scheduling an online appointment for 10 AM. Even went in there at 8AM at opening to let him know what was going on. Was told once the technician comes in they ll do an evaluation and diagnosis of the entire coolant system so cool I go about work using my other vehicle and give them a call around 2. Says they haven t looked at it yet but they re going to look at it soon and let me know. Okay cool. I think they re busy so I pay no mind. So I call my girlfriend to go up there at 6:30PM since I didn t think I d make it before closing time at 7PM. She asks about the truck and they feed her hypotheticals like it could be a blown head gasket (obviously wasn t). Truck was in the shop all day and they never even checked my truck. Just left it sitting. I got there around 6:50 got my keys from them and had my car towed to the dealership. Was diagnosed and fixed in 2 days. Only needed a new thermostat and a water pump. Pep boys had my truck all day basically since 8AM and didn t even check on it or update me about a diagnosis. I will never go back. Respectfully.

Had a flat on the highway late in the afternoon in the middle of a long trip. They were able to get me in without an appointment and get a new tire on quickly enough for me to finish the trip that night.

I had such a positive experience at this location! I needed to have my tires changed before a long roadtrip and my appointment with another auto shop fell through. To say the least, I was stressed. I called Pep Boys last minute and Donald was so helpful and provided amazing customer service. They found a way to fit me in same-day (on a Sunday!) and Brandon took good care of my car. I had a safe and smooth roadtrip thereafter. Thank you guys again!

Our appointment was at 8:30 and we arrived on time. We waited for atleast 5 minutes before the staff waited on us and all they were doing was talking to each other. The customer waiting area is filthy and smelly. They never took our car back until 9:05 and we didn't get it back until 9:45. We will not be back. I don't recommend.

The service at my local Pep Boys is great in the facility. The towing service not so much. I needed a tow and was only 0.3 miles away from my local Pep Boys location. It was going to be a 3 hour wait, I called someone else.
